Darby Bible
Samuel 15:23-30
For rebellionH4805 is [as] the sinH2403 of divinationH7081, And selfwill is [as] iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejectedH3988 the wordH1697 of Jehovah, He hath also rejectedH3988 thee from being kingH4428.
And SaulH7586 saidH559 to SamuelH8050, I have sinnedH2398, for I have transgressed the commandment of Jehovah, and thy wordsH1697; for I fearedH3372 the peopleH5971, and hearkened to their voiceH6963.
And nowH6258, I pray thee, forgiveH5375 my sinH2403, and turnH7725 again with me, that I may worship Jehovah.
And SamuelH8050 saidH559 to SaulH7586, I will not turnH7725 again with thee; for thou hast rejectedH3988 the wordH1697 of Jehovah, and Jehovah has rejectedH3988 thee from being kingH4428 over IsraelH3478.
And as SamuelH8050 turnedH5437 to goH5437 awayH5437, [Saul] laid holdH2388 upon the skirtH3671 of his mantle, and it rent.
Then SamuelH8050 saidH559 to him, Jehovah has rent the kingdomH4468 of IsraelH3478 from thee to-day, and has givenH5414 it to thy neighbour, who is betterH2896 than thou.
And alsoH1571 the Hope of IsraelH3478 will not lie nor repentH5162; for he is not a manH120, that he should repentH5162.
And he saidH559, I have sinnedH2398; honour me nowH6258, I pray thee, before the eldersH2205 of my peopleH5971, and before IsraelH3478, and turnH7725 again with me, that I may worship Jehovah thy 1GodH430.
