Matthew 22:22-46
22And when they heardG191 it, they marvelled, and leftG863 him, and wentG565 awayG565.
23On that dayG2250 there cameG4334 to him SadduceesG4523, they that sayG3004 that there isG1510 no resurrectionG386: and they askedG1905 him, 24sayingG3004, TeacherG1320, MosesG3475 saidG3004, If a man dieG599, having no childrenG5043, his brotherG80 shall marry his wifeG1135, and raiseG450 up seedG4690 unto his brotherG80. 25NowG1161 there wereG1510 with us sevenG2033 brethren: and the firstG4413 marriedG1060 and deceased, and having no seedG4690 leftG863 his wifeG1135 unto his brotherG80; 26in like manner the secondG1208 alsoG2532, and the thirdG5154, unto the seventh. 27And after them all, the womanG1135 diedG599. 28In the resurrectionG386 thereforeG3767 whose wifeG1135 shall she beG1510 of the sevenG2033? for they all had her. 29But JesusG2424 answeredG611 and saidG3004 unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scripturesG1124, nor the powerG1411 of GodG2316. 30For in the resurrectionG386 they neither marryG1060, nor areG1510 given in marriage, but areG1510 as angelsG32 in heavenG3772. 31But as touching the resurrectionG386 of the deadG3498, have ye not readG314 that which was spoken unto you by GodG2316, sayingG3004, 32I amG1510 the GodG2316 of AbrahamG11, and the GodG2316 of IsaacG2464, and the GodG2316 of JacobG2384? GodG2316 isG1510 not the GodG2316 of the deadG3498, but of the livingG2198. 33And when the multitudesG3793 heardG191 it, they were astonishedG1605 at his teachingG1322.
34But the PhariseesG5330, when they heardG191 that he had put the SadduceesG4523 to silence, gatheredG4863 themselves togetherG4863. 35And oneG1520 of them, a lawyerG3544, askedG1905 him a questionG1905, trying him: 36TeacherG1320, which is the greatG3173 commandmentG1785 in the lawG3551? 37And he saidG5346 unto him, Thou shalt loveG25 the LordG2962 thy GodG2316 with all thy heartG2588, and with all thy soulG5590, and with all thy mindG1271. 38This isG1510 the greatG3173 and firstG4413 commandmentG1785. 39And a secondG1208 like unto it is this, Thou shalt loveG25 thy neighbor as thyself. 40On these twoG1417 commandmentsG1785 the wholeG3650 lawG3551 hangeth, and the prophetsG4396.
41NowG1161 while the PhariseesG5330 were gatheredG4863 togetherG4863, JesusG2424 askedG1905 them a questionG1905, 42sayingG3004, What thinkG1380 ye of the ChristG5547? whose sonG5207 isG1510 he? They sayG3004 unto him, The sonG5207 of DavidG1138. 43He saith unto them, HowG4459 thenG3767 doth DavidG1138 in the SpiritG4151 callG2564 him LordG2962, sayingG3004,
45If DavidG1138 thenG3767 calleth him LordG2962, howG4459 isG1510 he his sonG5207? 46And no oneG3762 was ableG1410 to answerG611 him a wordG3056, neither durst any man from that dayG2250 forth askG1905 him any more questionsG1905.
