Luke 11:24-36
24The uncleanG169 spiritG4151 whenG3752 he is goneG1831 out of the manG444, passeth through waterlessG504 placesG5117, seekingG2212 restG372, and findingG2147 none, he saith, I will turnG5290 backG5290 unto my houseG3624 whence I cameG1831 out. 25And when he is comeG2064, he findeth it swept and garnished. 26Then goeth he, and taketh to him sevenG2033 otherG2087 spiritsG4151 moreG4190 evilG4190 than himself; and they enterG1525 in and dwellG2730 there: and the lastG2078 state of that manG444 becometh worse than the firstG4413.
27And it cameG1096 to passG1096, as he saidG3004 these thingsG3778, a certainG5100 womanG1135 out of the multitudeG3793 liftedG1869 up her voiceG5456, and saidG3004 unto him, Blessed is the wombG2836 that bare thee, and the breastsG3149 which thou didst suck. 28But he saidG3004, Yea ratherG3304, blessed are they that hearG191 the wordG3056 of GodG2316, and keepG5442 it.
29And when the multitudesG3793 wereG1510 gathering together unto him, he beganG757 to sayG3004, This generationG1074 isG1510 an evilG4190 generationG1074: it seeketh after a signG4592; and there shall no signG4592 beG1510 givenG1325 to it but the signG4592 of JonahG2495. 30For evenG2532 as JonahG2495 becameG1096 a signG4592 unto the NinevitesG3536, so shall alsoG2532 the SonG5207 of manG444 beG1510 to this generationG1074. 31The queenG938 of the southG3558 shall riseG1453 up in the judgmentG2920 with the menG435 of this generationG1074, and shall condemnG2632 them: for she cameG2064 from the endsG4009 of the earthG1093 to hearG191 the wisdomG4678 of SolomonG4672; and beholdG2400, a greaterG4183 than SolomonG4672 is hereG5602. 32The menG435 of Nineveh shall standG450 up in the judgmentG2920 with this generationG1074, and shall condemnG2632 it: for they repentedG3340 at the preachingG2782 of JonahG2495; and beholdG2400, a greaterG4183 than JonahG2495 is hereG5602.
33No man, when he hath lighted a lampG3088, putteth it in a cellar, neither under the bushel, but on the stand, that they which enterG1531 in may seeG991 the lightG5338. 34The lampG3088 of thy bodyG4983 isG1510 thine eyeG3788: whenG3752 thine eyeG3788 isG1510 single, thy wholeG3650 bodyG4983 alsoG2532 isG1510 full of lightG5460; but whenG3752 it isG1510 evilG4190, thy bodyG4983 alsoG2532 isG1510 full of darkness. 35Look thereforeG3767 whether the lightG5457 that isG1510 in thee beG1510 not darknessG4655. 36If thereforeG3767 thy wholeG3650 bodyG4983 beG1510 full of lightG5461, having no partG3313 darkG4652, it shall beG1510 wholly full of lightG5461, as whenG3752 the lampG3088 with its bright shining doth give thee lightG5461.
