John 7:25-53
25Some thereforeG3767 of them of JerusalemG2415 saidG3004, IsG1510 not this he whom they seekG2212 to killG615? 26And lo, he speaketh openlyG3954, and they sayG3004 nothing unto him. Can it beG1510 that the rulersG758 indeed knowG1097 that this isG1510 the ChristG5547? 27Howbeit we knowG1097 this manG3778 whence he isG1510: but whenG3752 the ChristG5547 cometh, no oneG3762 knoweth whence he isG1510. 28JesusG2424 thereforeG3767 criedG2896 in the temple, teachingG1321 and sayingG3004, Ye both know me, and know whence I amG1510; and I amG1510 not comeG2064 of myself, but he that sentG3992 me isG1510 trueG228, whom ye know not. 29I know him; because I amG1510 from him, and he sentG649 me. 30They soughtG2212 thereforeG3767 to take him: and no man laidG1911 his handG5495 on him, because his hourG5610 was not yet comeG2064. 31But of the multitudeG3793 manyG4183 believedG4100 on him; and they saidG3004, WhenG3752 the ChristG5547 shall comeG2064, will he do moreG4183 signsG4592 than those which this manG3778 hath done? 32The PhariseesG5330 heardG191 the multitudeG3793 murmuring these thingsG3778 concerningG4012 him; and the chiefG749 priestsG749 and the PhariseesG5330 sentG649 officersG5257 to take him. 33JesusG2424 thereforeG3767 saidG3004, Yet a little while amG1510 I with you, and I goG5217 unto him that sentG3992 me. 34Ye shall seekG2212 me, and shall not findG2147 me: and whereG3699 I amG1510, ye cannot comeG2064. 35The JewsG2453 thereforeG3767 saidG3004 among themselves, Whither will this manG3778 goG4198 that we shall not findG2147 him? will he goG4198 unto the DispersionG1290 among the GreeksG1672, and teachG1321 the GreeksG1672? 36What isG1510 this wordG3056 that he saidG3004, Ye shall seekG2212 me, and shall not findG2147 me; and whereG3699 I amG1510, ye cannot comeG2064?
37NowG1161 on the lastG2078 dayG2250, the greatG3173dayG2250of the feastG1859, JesusG2424 stoodG2476 and criedG2896, sayingG3004, If any man thirstG1372, let him comeG2064 unto me and drinkG4095. 38He that believeth on me, as the scriptureG1124 hath saidG3004, from within him shall flow riversG4215 of livingG2198 waterG5204. 39But this spake he of the SpiritG4151, which they that believedG4100 on him wereG1510 to receiveG2983: for the SpiritG4151 wasG1510 not yet given; because JesusG2424 wasG1510 not yet glorifiedG1392. 40Some of the multitudeG3793 thereforeG3767, when they heardG191 these wordsG3056, saidG3004, This isG1510 of a truth the prophetG4396. 41OthersG243 saidG3004, This isG1510 the ChristG5547. But some saidG3004, What, doth the ChristG5547 comeG2064 out of GalileeG1056? 42Hath not the scriptureG1124 saidG3004 that the ChristG5547 cometh of the seedG4690 of DavidG1138, and from BethlehemG965, the villageG2968 whereG3699 DavidG1138 wasG1510? 43So there aroseG1096 a divisionG4978 in the multitudeG3793 because of him. 44And some of them would have taken him; but no man laidG1911 handsG5495 on him.
45The officersG5257 thereforeG3767 cameG2064 to the chiefG749 priestsG749 and PhariseesG5330; and they saidG3004 unto them, WhyG5101 did ye not bringG71 him? 46The officersG5257 answeredG611, NeverG3763 manG444 soG3779 spake. 47The PhariseesG5330 thereforeG3767 answeredG611 them, Are ye alsoG2532 led astrayG4105? 48Hath any of the rulersG758 believedG4100 on him, or of the PhariseesG5330? 49But this multitudeG3793 that knoweth not the lawG3551 areG1510 accursed. 50NicodemusG3530 saith unto them (he that cameG2064 to him before, beingG1510 oneG1520 of them), 51Doth our lawG3551 judgeG2919 a manG444, except it firstG4413 hearG191 from himself and knowG1097 what he doeth? 52They answeredG611 and saidG3004 unto him, Art thou alsoG2532 of GalileeG1056? SearchG2045, and seeG3708 that out of GalileeG1056 ariseth no prophetG4396.
