54The soundH6963 of a cryH2201 from BabylonH894, and of greatH1419 destructionH7667 from the landH776 of the ChaldeansH3778! 55For Jehovah layeth BabylonH894 waste, and destroyeth out of her the greatH1419 voiceH6963; and their waves roarH1993 like manyH7227 watersH4325; the noise of their voiceH6963 is uttered: 56for the destroyerH7703 is comeH935 upon her, even upon BabylonH894, and her mightyH1368 menH1368 are takenH3920, their bowsH7198 are broken in pieces; for Jehovah is a GodH410 of recompenses, he will surely requite.
