Jeremiah 44:21-23
21The incenseH6999 that ye burned in the citiesH5892 of JudahH3063, and in the streetsH2351 of JerusalemH3389, ye and your fathersH1, your kingsH4428 and your princesH8269, and the peopleH5971 of the landH776, did not Jehovah rememberH2142 them, and cameH5927 it not into his mind? 22so that Jehovah could not longer bearH5375, because of the evil of your doings, and because of the abominationsH8441 which ye have committed; therefore is your landH776 becomeH1961 a desolationH8047, and an astonishment, and a curseH7045, without inhabitantH3427, as it is this dayH3117. 23Because ye have burned incenseH6999, and because ye have sinnedH2398 against Jehovah, and have not obeyed the voiceH6963 of Jehovah, nor walkedH1980 in his lawH8451, nor in his statutesH2708, nor in his testimoniesH5715; thereforeH3651 this evilH7451 is happenedH7122 unto you, as it is this dayH3117.
