Jeremiah 42:2-10
2and saidH559 unto JeremiahH3414 the prophetH5030, Let, we prayH6419 thee, our supplicationH8467 be presented before thee, and prayH6419 for us unto Jehovah thy GodH430, even for all this remnantH7611 (for we are leftH7604 but a fewH4592 of manyH7235, as thine eyesH5869 do behold us), 3that Jehovah thy GodH430 may show us the wayH1870 wherein we should walk, and the thingH1697 that we should do. 4Then JeremiahH3414 the prophetH5030 saidH559 unto them, I have heardH8085 you; behold, I will prayH6419 unto Jehovah your GodH430 according to your wordsH1697; and it shall come to pass that whatsoever thingH1697 Jehovah shall answerH6030 you, I will declareH5046 it unto you; I will keep nothing back from you. 5Then they saidH559 to JeremiahH3414, Jehovah beH1961 a true and faithfulH539 witnessH5707 amongst us, if we do not according to all the wordH1697 wherewith Jehovah thy GodH430 shall sendH7971 thee to us. 6Whether it be goodH2896, or whether it be evilH7451, we will obey the voiceH6963 of Jehovah our GodH430, to whom we sendH7971 thee; that it may be wellH3190 with us, when we obey the voiceH6963 of Jehovah our GodH430.
7And it came to pass after tenH6235 daysH3117, that the wordH1697 of Jehovah came unto JeremiahH3414. 8Then calledH7121 he JohananH3110 the sonH1121 of KareahH7143, and all the captains of the forces that were with him, and all the peopleH5971 from the least even to the greatestH1419, 9and saidH559 unto them, ThusH3541 saith Jehovah, the GodH430 of IsraelH3478, unto whom ye sentH7971 me to present your supplicationH8467 before him: 10If ye will still abide in this landH776, then will I buildH1129 you, and not pull you downH3427, and I will plantH5193 you, and not pluckH5428 you up; for I repent me of the evilH7451 that I have done unto you.
