5But the armyH2428 of the ChaldeansH3778 pursuedH7291 after them, and overtookH5381 ZedekiahH6667 in the plainsH6160 of JerichoH3405: and when they had takenH3947 him, they broughtH5927 him up to Nebuchadrezzar kingH4428 of BabylonH894 to RiblahH7247 in the landH776 of HamathH2574; and he gave judgmentH4941 upon him. 6Then the kingH4428 of BabylonH894 slew the sonsH1121 of ZedekiahH6667 in RiblahH7247 before his eyesH5869: also the kingH4428 of BabylonH894 slew all the nobles of JudahH3063. 7Moreover he put out Zedekiah’s eyesH5869, and boundH631 him in fettersH5178, to carry him to BabylonH894. 8And the ChaldeansH3778 burnedH8313 the king’sH4428 houseH1004, and the housesH1004 of the peopleH5971, with fireH784, and brake down the wallsH2346 of JerusalemH3389. 9Then NebuzaradanH5018 the captain of the guard carried away captive into BabylonH894 the residue of the peopleH5971 that remainedH7604 in the cityH5892, the deserters also that fellH5307 away to him, and the residue of the peopleH5971 that remainedH7604.
