16When JeremiahH3414 was comeH935 into the dungeon-house, and into the cells, and JeremiahH3414 had remainedH3427 there manyH7227 daysH3117; 17then ZedekiahH6667 the kingH4428 sentH7971, and fetched him: and the kingH4428 askedH7592 him secretly in his houseH1004, and saidH559, Is there any wordH1697 from Jehovah? He saidH559 also, Thou shalt be delivered into the handH3027 of the kingH4428 of BabylonH894. 18Moreover JeremiahH3414 saidH559 unto kingH4428 ZedekiahH6667, Wherein have I sinnedH2398 against thee, or against thy servantsH5650, or against this peopleH5971, that ye have putH5414 me in prison? 19WhereH834 now are your prophetsH5030 that prophesiedH5012 unto you, sayingH559, The kingH4428 of BabylonH894 shall not comeH935 against you, nor against this landH776? 20And nowH6258 hearH8085, I pray thee, O my lordH113 the kingH4428: let my supplicationH8467, I pray thee, be presented before thee, that thou cause me not to returnH7725 to the houseH1004 of JonathanH3083 the scribeH5608, lest I dieH4191 there. 21Then ZedekiahH6667 the kingH4428 commandedH6680, and they committed JeremiahH3414 into the courtH2691 of the guardH4307; and they gaveH5414 him daily a loafH3603 of breadH3899 out of the bakers’H644 streetH2351, until all the breadH3899 in the cityH5892 was spent. Thus JeremiahH3414 remainedH3427 in the courtH2691 of the guardH4307.
