Jeremiah 15:1-14
1Then saidH559 Jehovah unto me, Though MosesH4872 and SamuelH8050 stoodH5975 before me, yet my mind would not be toward this peopleH5971: cast them out of my sight, and let them goH3318 forthH3318. 2And it shall come to pass, when they sayH559 unto thee, Whither shall we goH3318 forthH3318? then thou shalt tell them, ThusH3541 saith Jehovah: Such as are for deathH4194, to deathH4194; and such as are for the swordH2719, to the swordH2719; and such as are for the famineH7458, to the famineH7458; and such as are for captivityH7628, to captivityH7628. 3And I will appointH6485 over them fourH702 kinds, saith Jehovah: the swordH2719 to slayH2026, and the dogsH3611 to tear, and the birdsH5775 of the heavensH8064, and the beasts of the earthH776, to devourH398 and to destroyH7843. 4And I will cause them to be tossed to and fro among all the kingdomsH4467 of the earthH776, because of ManassehH4519, the sonH1121 of HezekiahH2396, kingH4428 of JudahH3063, for that which he did in JerusalemH3389.
5For who will have pityH2550 upon thee, O JerusalemH3389? or who will bemoan thee? or who will turnH5493 asideH5493 to askH7592 of thy welfareH7965? 6Thou hast rejected me, saith Jehovah, thou art gone backwardH268: therefore have I stretchedH5186 out my handH3027 against thee, and destroyedH7843 thee; I am wearyH3811 with repenting. 7And I have winnowedH2219 them with a fan in the gatesH8179 of the landH776; I have bereavedH7921 them of children, I have destroyedH6 my peopleH5971; they returnedH7725 not from their waysH1870. 8Their widowsH490 are increased to me above the sandH2344 of the seasH3220; I have broughtH935 upon them against the motherH517 of the youngH970 menH970 a destroyerH7703 at noonday: I have caused anguish and terrors to fallH5307 upon her suddenlyH6597. 9She that hath borneH3205 sevenH7651 languisheth; she hath givenH5414 up the ghost; her sunH8121 is goneH935 down while it was yetH5750 dayH3119; she hath been putH5414 to shameH954 and confounded: and the residue of them will I deliver to the swordH2719 before their enemiesH341, saith Jehovah.
10WoeH188 is me, my motherH517, that thou hast borneH3205 me a manH376 of strifeH7379 and a manH376 of contentionH4066 to the whole earthH776! I have not lentH5383, neither have menH376 lentH5383 to me; yet every oneH376 of them doth curseH7043 me.
11Jehovah saidH559, Verily I will strengthen thee for goodH2896; verily I will cause the enemyH341 to make supplication unto thee in the timeH6256 of evilH7451 and in the timeH6256 of affliction. 12Can one break ironH1270, even ironH1270 from the northH6828, and brass? 13Thy substance and thy treasuresH214 will I giveH5414 for a spoilH957 without priceH4242, and that for all thy sinsH2403, even in all thy bordersH1366. 14And I will makeH3045 them to passH5674 with thine enemiesH341 into a landH776 which thou knowest not; for a fireH784 is kindled in mine angerH639, which shall burnH3344 upon you.
