Ezekiel 42
American Standard Version
1Then he broughtH935 me forthH3318 into the outerH2435 courtH2691, the wayH1870 toward the northH6828: and he broughtH935 me into the chamber that was over against the separateH1508 place, and which was over against the building toward the northH6828. 2Before the lengthH753 of a hundredH3967 cubitsH520 was the northH6828 doorH6607, and the breadthH7341 was fiftyH2572 cubitsH520. 3Over against the twentyH6242cubitswhich belonged to the innerH6442 courtH2691, and over against the pavementH7531 which belonged to the outerH2435 courtH2691, was galleryH862 against galleryH862 in the thirdH7992 story. 4And before the chambers was a walk of tenH6235 cubits’ breadthH7341 inward, a wayH1870 of oneH259 cubitH520; and their doorsH6607 were toward the northH6828. 5Now the upperH5945 chambers were shorter; for the galleries took away from these, more than from the lower and the middlemost, in the building. 6For they were in threeH8027 stories, and they had not pillarsH5982 as the pillarsH5982 of the courts: thereforeH3651 the uppermost was straitened more than the lowest and the middlemost from the groundH776. 7And the wallH1447 that was without by the side of the chambers, toward the outerH2435 courtH2691 before the chambers, the lengthH753 thereof was fiftyH2572 cubitsH520. 8For the lengthH753 of the chambers that were in the outerH2435 courtH2691 was fiftyH2572 cubitsH520: and, lo, before the templeH1964 were a hundredH3967 cubitsH520. 9And from under these chambers was the entry on the eastH6921 side, as one goeth into them from the outerH2435 courtH2691.
10In the thickness of the wallH1444 of the courtH2691 toward the eastH6921, before the separateH1508 place, and before the building, there were chambers. 11And the wayH1870 before them was like the appearanceH4758 of the wayH1870 of the chambers which were toward the northH6828; according to their lengthH753 soH3651 was their breadthH7341: and all their egresses were both according to their fashions, and according to their doorsH6607. 12And according to the doorsH6607 of the chambers that were toward the southH1864 was a doorH6607 at the headH7218 of the wayH1870, even the wayH1870 directly before the wallH1448 toward the eastH6921, as oneH834 entereth into them.
13Then saidH559 he unto me, The northH6828 chambers and the southH1864 chambers, which are before the separateH1508 placeH4725, they are the holyH6944 chambers, whereH834 the priestsH3548 that are near unto Jehovah shall eatH398 the most holyH6944 thingsH6944: there shall they lay the most holyH6944 thingsH6944, and the meal-offering, and the sin-offering, and the trespass-offering; for the placeH4725 is holyH6944. 14When the priestsH3548 enter in, then shall they not goH3318 out of the holyH6944 placeH6944 into the outerH2435 courtH2691, but there they shall lay their garmentsH899 wherein they minister; for they are holyH6944: and they shall putH3847 on otherH312 garmentsH899, and shall approach to that which pertaineth to the peopleH5971.
15Now whenH834 he had made an endH3615 of measuringH4060 the innerH6442 houseH1004, he broughtH3318 me forthH3318 by the wayH1870 of the gateH8179 whose prospect is toward the eastH6921, and measuredH4058 it roundH5439 about. 16He measuredH4058 on the eastH6921 side with the measuring reedH7070 fiveH2568 hundred reedsH7070, with the measuring reedH7070 roundH5439 about. 17He measuredH4058 on the northH6828 side fiveH2568 hundredH3967 reedsH7070 with the measuring reedH7070 roundH5439 about. 18He measuredH4058 on the southH1864 sideH7307 fiveH2568 hundredH3967 reedsH7070 with the measuring reedH7070. 19He turnedH5437 about to the westH3220 sideH7307, and measuredH4058 fiveH2568 hundredH3967 reedsH7070 with the measuring reedH7070. 20He measuredH4058 it on the fourH702 sides: it had a wallH2346 roundH5439 about, the lengthH753 fiveH2568 hundredH3967, and the breadthH7341 fiveH2568 hundredH3967, to make a separation between that which was holyH6944 and that which was common.
