Ezekiel 6
American Standard Version
1And the wordH1697 of Jehovah came unto me, sayingH559, 2SonH1121 of manH120, setH7760 thy faceH6440 toward the mountainsH2022 of IsraelH3478, and prophesyH5012 unto them, 3and sayH559, Ye mountainsH2022 of IsraelH3478, hearH8085 the wordH1697 of the LordH136 Jehovah: ThusH3541 saith the LordH136 Jehovah to the mountainsH2022 and to the hillsH1389, to the watercourses and to the valleysH1516: Behold, I, even I, will bringH935 a swordH2719 upon you, and I will destroyH6 your highH1116 placesH1116. 4And your altarsH4196 shall become desolateH8074, and your sun-images shall be brokenH7665; and I will castH5307 downH5307 your slainH2491 men before your idolsH1544. 5And I will lay the dead bodies of the children of IsraelH3478 before their idolsH1544; and I will scatterH2219 your bonesH6106 roundH5439 about your altarsH4196. 6In all your dwelling-places the citiesH5892 shall be laid waste, and the highH1116 placesH1116 shall be desolateH3456; that your altarsH4196 may be laid waste and made desolateH3456, and your idolsH1544 may be brokenH7665 and ceaseH7673, and your sun-images may be hewn downH1438, and your worksH4639 may be abolished. 7And the slainH2491 shall fallH5307 in the midstH8432 of you, and ye shall knowH3045 that I am Jehovah.
8Yet will I leaveH3498 a remnant, in that ye shall have some that escapeH6412 the swordH2719 among the nationsH1471, when ye shall beH1961 scatteredH2219 through the countries. 9And those of you that escapeH6412 shall rememberH2142 me among the nationsH1471 whither they shall be carried captiveH7617, how that I have been brokenH7665 with their lewd heartH3820, which hath departedH5493 from me, and with their eyesH5869, which playH2181 the harlot after their idolsH1544: and they shall loathe themselves in their own sight for the evils which they have committed in all their abominationsH8441. 10And they shall knowH3045 that I am Jehovah: I have not saidH1696 in vainH2600 that I would do this evilH7451 unto them.
11ThusH3541 saith the LordH136 Jehovah: Smite with thy handH3709, and stamp with thy footH7272, and sayH559, AlasH253! because of all the evilH7451 abominationsH8441 of the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478; for they shall fallH5307 by the swordH2719, by the famineH7458, and by the pestilenceH1698. 12He that is farH7350 off shall dieH4191 of the pestilenceH1698; and he that is near shall fallH5307 by the swordH2719; and he that remaineth and is besieged shall dieH4191 by the famineH7458: thus will I accomplish my wrathH2534 upon them. 13And ye shall knowH3045 that I am Jehovah, when their slainH2491 men shall beH1961 among their idolsH1544 roundH5439 about their altarsH4196, upon every highH7311 hillH2022, on all the topsH7218 of the mountainsH2022, and under every green treeH6086, and under every thick oakH424, the placesH4725 whereH834 they offered sweet savor to all their idolsH1544. 14And I will stretchH5186 out my handH3027 upon them, and makeH5414 the landH776 desolate and wasteH4923, from the wildernessH4057 toward Diblah, throughout all their habitations: and they shall knowH3045 that I am Jehovah.
