Ezekiel 34
American Standard Version
1And the wordH1697 of Jehovah came unto me, sayingH559, 2SonH1121 of manH120, prophesyH5012 against the shepherdsH7462 of IsraelH3478, prophesyH5012, and sayH559 unto them, even to the shepherdsH7462, ThusH3541 saith the LordH136 Jehovah: WoeH1945 unto the shepherdsH7462 of IsraelH3478 that do feedH7462 themselves! should not the shepherdsH7462 feedH7462 the sheepH6629? 3Ye eatH398 the fatH2459, and ye clotheH3847 you with the woolH6785, ye kill the fatlings; but ye feed not the sheepH6629. 4The diseased have ye not strengthenedH2388, neither have ye healedH7495 that which was sickH2470, neither have ye boundH2280 up that which was brokenH7665, neither have ye broughtH7725 backH7725 that which was drivenH5080 awayH7725, neither have ye soughtH1245 that which was lost; but with forceH2394 and with rigor have ye ruled over them. 5And they wereH1961 scatteredH6327, because there wasH1961 no shepherdH7462; and they becameH1961 foodH402 to all the beasts of the fieldH7704, and wereH1961 scatteredH6327. 6My sheepH6629 wandered through all the mountainsH2022, and upon every highH7311 hillH2022: yea, my sheepH6629 were scatteredH6327 upon all the faceH6440 of the earthH776; and there was none that did searchH1245 or seekH1245 after them.
7ThereforeH3651, ye shepherdsH7462, hearH8085 the wordH1697 of Jehovah: 8As I live, saith the LordH136 Jehovah, surely forasmuch as my sheepH6629 becameH1961 a preyH957, and my sheepH6629 becameH1961 foodH402 to all the beasts of the fieldH7704, because there was no shepherdH7462, neither did my shepherdsH7462 searchH1875 for my sheepH6629, but the shepherdsH7462 fed themselves, and fed not my sheepH6629; 9thereforeH3651, ye shepherdsH7462, hearH8085 the wordH1697 of Jehovah: 10ThusH3541 saith the LordH136 Jehovah, Behold, I amH1961 against the shepherdsH7462; and I will requireH1875 my sheepH6629 at their handH3027, and cause them to ceaseH7673 from feeding the sheepH6629; neither shall the shepherdsH7462 feedH7462 themselves any more; and I will deliverH5337 my sheepH6629 from their mouthH6310, that they may not beH1961 foodH402 for them.
11For thusH3541 saith the LordH136 Jehovah: Behold, I myself, even I, will searchH1875 for my sheepH6629, and will seekH1875 them out. 12As a shepherdH7462 seeketh out his flockH6629 in the dayH3117 that he is among his sheepH6629 that are scatteredH6327 abroad, soH3651 will I seekH1239 out my sheepH6629; and I will deliverH5337 them out of all placesH4725 whither they have beenH1961 scatteredH6327 in the cloudy and dark dayH3117. 13And I will bringH935 them out from the peoplesH5971, and gatherH6908 them from the countries, and will bringH935 them into their own landH776; and I will feedH7462 them upon the mountainsH2022 of IsraelH3478, by the watercourses, and in all the inhabited placesH4186 of the countryH2022. 14I will feedH7462 them with goodH2896 pastureH4829; and upon the mountainsH2022 of the heightH4791 of IsraelH3478 shall their fold beH1961: there shall they lieH7257 down in a goodH2896 fold; and on fat pastureH4829 shall they feedH7462 upon the mountainsH2022 of IsraelH3478. 15I myself will be the shepherdH7462 of my sheepH6629, and I will cause them to lieH7257 down, saith the LordH136 Jehovah. 16I will seekH1245 that which was lost, and will bringH7725 backH7725 that which was drivenH5080 awayH7725, and will bindH2280 up that which was brokenH7665, and will strengthenH2388 that which was sickH2470: but the fat and the strongH2388 I will destroyH8045; I will feedH7462 them in justiceH4941.
17And as for you, O my flockH6629, thusH3541 saith the LordH136 Jehovah: Behold, I judgeH8199 between sheepH6629 and sheepH6629, the ramsH352 and the he-goats. 18Seemeth it a smallH4592 thing unto you to have fed upon the goodH2896 pastureH4829, but ye must tread down with your feetH7272 the residue of your pastureH4829? and to have drunkH8354 of the clear watersH4325, but ye must foul the residue with your feetH7272? 19And as for my sheepH6629, they eat that which ye have trodden with your feetH7272, and they drinkH8354 that which ye have fouled with your feetH7272.
20ThereforeH3651 thusH3541 saith the LordH136 Jehovah unto them: Behold, I, even I, will judgeH8199 between the fat sheepH7716 and the leanH7330 sheepH7716. 21Because ye thrust with sideH3802 and with shoulderH3802, and push all the diseased with your hornsH7161, till ye have scatteredH6327 them abroad; 22therefore will I saveH3467 my flockH6629, and they shall no more beH1961 a preyH957; and I will judgeH8199 between sheepH6629 and sheepH6629. 23And I will setH6965 up oneH259 shepherdH7462 over them, and he shall feedH7462 them, even my servantH5650 DavidH1732; he shall feedH7462 them, and he shall beH1961 their shepherdH7462. 24And I, Jehovah, will beH1961 their GodH430, and my servantH5650 DavidH1732 princeH5387 among them; I, Jehovah, have spokenH1696 it.
25And I will makeH3772 with them a covenantH1285 of peaceH7965, and will cause evilH7451 beasts to ceaseH7673 out of the landH776; and they shall dwellH3427 securely in the wildernessH4057, and sleepH3462 in the woods. 26And I will makeH5414 them and the places roundH5439 about my hillH1389 a blessingH1293; and I will cause the showerH1653 to come down in its season; there shall beH1961 showersH1653 of blessingH1293. 27And the treeH6086 of the fieldH7704 shall yield its fruitH6529, and the earthH776 shall yield its increase, and they shall beH1961 secure in their landH776; and they shall knowH3045 that I am Jehovah, when I have brokenH7665 the barsH4133 of their yokeH5923, and have deliveredH5337 them out of the handH3027 of those that madeH5414 bondmen of them. 28And they shall no more beH1961 a preyH957 to the nationsH1471, neither shall the beasts of the earthH776 devourH398 them; but they shall dwellH3427 securely, and none shall make them afraid. 29And I will raiseH6965 up unto them a plantation for renown, and they shall beH1961 no more consumed with famineH7458 in the landH776, neither bearH5375 the shame of the nationsH1471 any more. 30And they shall knowH3045 that I, Jehovah, their GodH430 am with them, and that they, the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478, are my peopleH5971, saith the Lord Jehovah. 31And ye my sheepH6629, the sheepH6629 of my pastureH4830, are menH120, and I am your GodH430, saith the LordH136 Jehovah.
