Chambers of the Temple
1Then he 1broughtH3318 me out into the 2outerH2435 courtH2691, the wayH1870 3towardH1870 the northH6828; and he broughtH935 me to the 4chamberH3957 whichH834 was oppositeH5048 the 5separateH1508 areaH1508 and oppositeH5048 the 6buildingH1146 towardH413 the northH6828. 2AlongH413H6440 the lengthH753, which was a 7hundredH3967 cubitsH520, was the northH6828 doorH6607; the widthH7341 was fiftyH2572 cubitsH520. 3OppositeH5048 the 8twentyH6242 cubits whichH834 belonged to the innerH6442 courtH2691, and oppositeH5048 the 9pavementH7531 whichH834 belonged to the outerH2435 courtH2691, was 1011galleryH863 correspondingH413H6440 to 12galleryH863 in threeH7992 stories. 4BeforeH6440 the 13chambersH3957 was an innerH6442 walkH4109 tenH6235 cubitsH520 wideH7341, a wayH1870 of oneH259 hundred cubitsH520; and their openingsH6607 were on the northH6828. 5Now the upperH5945 chambersH3957 were 14smallerH7114 becauseH3588 the 1516galleriesH863 tookH398 moreH4480 space awayH398 from them thanH4480 from the lowerH8481 and middleH8484 onesH8484 in the buildingH1146. 6For they were in 17threeH8027 stories and hadH369 noH369 pillarsH5982 like the pillarsH5982 of the courtsH2691; thereforeH5921H3651 the upper chambers were 18setH680 backH680 from the groundH776 upward, moreH4480 thanH4480 the lowerH8481 and middleH8484 onesH8484. 7As for the 19outerH2351 wallH1447 by the sideH5980 of the chambersH3957, towardH1870 the outerH2435 courtH2691 facingH6440 the chambersH3957, its lengthH753 was fiftyH2572 cubitsH520. 8For the lengthH753 of the chambersH3957 whichH834 were in the outerH2435 courtH2691 was fiftyH2572 cubitsH520; and beholdH2009, the length of those facingH6440 the templeH1964 was a 20hundredH3967 cubitsH520. 9BelowH4480 theseH428 chambersH3957 was the 21entranceH3996 on the eastH6921 sideH6921, as one entersH935 them from the outerH2435 courtH2691.
10In the 22thicknessH7341 of the 23wallH1447 of the courtH2691 towardH1870 the eastH6921, facingH413H6440 the 24separateH1508 areaH1508 and facingH413H6440 the buildingH1146, there were 25chambersH3957. 11The 26wayH1870 in frontH6440 of them was like the appearanceH4758 of the chambersH3957 whichH834 were on the northH6828, according to their lengthH753 soH3651 was their widthH7341, and allH3605 their exitsH4161 were both according to their arrangementsH4941 and openingsH6607. 12Corresponding to the openingsH6607 of the chambersH3957 whichH834 were towardH1870 the southH1864 was an openingH6607 at the headH7218 of the wayH1870, the wayH1870 in frontH6440 of the 27wallH1448 towardH1870 the eastH6921, as one entersH935 them.
13Then he saidH559 to me, “The northH6828 chambersH3957 and the southH1864 chambersH3957, whichH834 are oppositeH413H6440 the 28separateH1508 areaH1508, they are the 29holyH6944 chambersH3957 whereH834H8033 the priestsH3548 whoH834 are 30nearH7138 to the LordH3068 shall eatH398 the 31mostH6944 holyH6944 thingsH6944. ThereH8033 they shall layH5117 the mostH6944 holyH6944 thingsH6944, the grain offeringH4503, the sinH2403 offeringH2403 and the guiltH817 offeringH817; for the placeH4725 is holyH6918. 14When the priestsH3548 enterH935, then they shall not goH3318 out into the outerH2435 courtH2691 from the sanctuaryH6944 32without 33layingH5117 thereH8033 their 34garmentsH899 in whichH834 they ministerH8334, for they are holyH6944. They shall putH3847 on otherH312 garmentsH899; then they shall approachH7126 that whichH834 is for the peopleH5971.”
15Now when he had finishedH3615 measuringH4060 the innerH6442 houseH1004, he broughtH3318 me out by the wayH1870 of the 35gateH8179 whichH834 facedH6440 towardH1870 the eastH6921 and measuredH4058 it allH5439 aroundH5439. 16He measuredH4058 on the eastH6921 sideH7307 with the measuringH4060 reedH7070 fiveH2568 hundredH3967 reedsH7070 by the 36measuringH4060 reedH7070. 17He measuredH4058 on the northH6828 sideH7307 fiveH2568 hundredH3967 reedsH7070 by the measuringH4060 reedH7070. 18On the southH1864 sideH7307 he measuredH4058 fiveH2568 hundredH3967 reedsH7070 with the measuringH4060 reedH7070. 19He turnedH5437 to the westH3220 sideH7307 and measuredH4058 fiveH2568 hundredH3967 reedsH7070 with the measuringH4060 reedH7070. 20He measuredH4058 it 37on the fourH702 sidesH7307; it had a 38wallH2346 allH5439 aroundH5439, the 39lengthH753 fiveH2568 hundredH3967 and the 40widthH7341 fiveH2568 hundredH3967, to 41divideH914 betweenH996 the holyH6944 and the profaneH2455.
