Ezekiel 28

1The wordH1697 of Jehovah came again unto me, sayingH559, 2SonH1121 of manH120, sayH559 unto the princeH5057 of TyreH6865, ThusH3541 saith the LordH136 Jehovah: Because thy heartH3820 is lifted up, and thou hast saidH559, I am a godH430, I sitH3427 in the seatH4186 of GodH430, in the midst of the seasH3220; yet thou art manH120, and not GodH430, though thou didst setH5414 thy heartH3820 as the heartH3820 of GodH430;— 3behold, thou art wiser than DanielH1840; there is no secretH5640 that is hidden from thee; 4by thy wisdomH2451 and by thine understandingH8394 thou hast gotten thee riches, and hast gotten goldH2091 and silverH3701 into thy treasuresH214; 5by thy great wisdomH2451 and by thy traffic hast thou increased thy riches, and thy heartH3824 is lifted up because of thy riches;— 6thereforeH3651 thusH3541 saith the LordH136 Jehovah: Because thou hast setH5414 thy heartH3820 as the heartH3820 of GodH430, 7thereforeH3651, behold, I will bringH935 strangersH2114 upon thee, the terrible of the nationsH1471; and they shall draw their swordsH2719 against the beautyH3308 of thy wisdomH2451, and they shall defile thy brightness. 8They shall bringH3381 thee downH3381 to the pitH7845; and thou shalt dieH4191 the deathH4191 of them that are slainH2491, in the heartH3820 of the seasH3220. 9Wilt thou yet sayH559 before him that slayeth thee, I am GodH430? but thou art manH120, and not GodH430, in the handH3027 of him that woundeth thee. 10Thou shalt dieH4191 the deathH4191 of the uncircumcisedH6189 by the handH3027 of strangersH2114: for I have spokenH1696 it, saith the LordH136 Jehovah.

11Moreover the wordH1697 of Jehovah came unto me, sayingH559, 12SonH1121 of manH120, takeH5375 up a lamentationH7015 over the kingH4428 of TyreH6865, and sayH559 unto him, ThusH3541 saith the LordH136 Jehovah: Thou sealest up the sum, fullH4392 of wisdomH2451, and perfectH3632 in beautyH3308. 13Thou wast in EdenH5731, the gardenH1588 of GodH430; every preciousH3368 stoneH68 wasH1961 thy covering, the sardius, the topazH6357, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyxH7718, and the jasperH3471, the sapphireH5601, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and goldH2091: the workmanshipH4399 of thy tabrets and of thy pipes wasH1961 in thee; in the dayH3117 that thou wast createdH1254 they wereH1961 preparedH3559. 14Thou wast the anointed cherubH3742 that covereth: and I setH5414 thee, so that thou wast upon the holyH6944 mountainH2022 of GodH430; thou hast walkedH1980 up and down in the midstH8432 of the stonesH68 of fireH784. 15Thou wast perfectH8549 in thy waysH1870 from the dayH3117 that thou wast createdH1254, till unrighteousnessH5766 was foundH4672 in thee. 16By the abundanceH7230 of thy traffic they filledH4390 the midstH8432 of thee with violenceH2555, and thou hast sinnedH2398: therefore have I cast thee as profaneH2490 out of the mountainH2022 of GodH430; and I have destroyedH6 thee, O covering cherubH3742, from the midstH8432 of the stonesH68 of fireH784. 17Thy heartH3820 was lifted up because of thy beautyH3308; thou hast corruptedH7843 thy wisdomH2451 by reason of thy brightness: I have castH7993 thee to the groundH776; I have laid thee before kingsH4428, that they may behold thee. 18By the multitudeH7230 of thine iniquitiesH5771, in the unrighteousnessH5766 of thy traffic, thou hast profanedH2490 thy sanctuariesH4720; therefore have I broughtH3318 forthH3318 a fireH784 from the midstH8432 of thee; it hath devouredH398 thee, and I have turned thee to ashesH665 upon the earthH776 in the sight of all them that behold thee. 19All they that knowH3045 thee among the peoplesH5971 shall beH1961 astonished at thee: thou art becomeH1961 a terrorH1091, and thou shalt nevermore have any being.

20And the wordH1697 of Jehovah came unto me, sayingH559, 21SonH1121 of manH120, setH7760 thy faceH6440 toward SidonH6721, and prophesyH5012 against it, 22and sayH559, ThusH3541 saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I am against thee, O SidonH6721; and I will be glorifiedH3513 in the midstH8432 of thee; and they shall knowH3045 that I am Jehovah, when I shall have executed judgmentsH8201 in her, and shall be sanctifiedH6942 in her. 23For I will sendH7971 pestilenceH1698 into her, and bloodH1818 into her streetsH2351; and the woundedH2491 shall fallH5307 in the midstH8432 of her, with the swordH2719 upon her on every side; and they shall knowH3045 that I am Jehovah. 24And there shall beH1961 no more a pricking brier unto the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478, nor a hurting thornH6975 of any that are roundH5439 about them, that did despite unto them; and they shall knowH3045 that I am the LordH136 Jehovah.

25ThusH3541 saith the LordH136 Jehovah: WhenH834 I shall have gatheredH6908 the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478 from the peoplesH5971 among whom they are scatteredH6327, and shall be sanctifiedH6942 in them in the sight of the nationsH1471, then shall they dwellH3427 in their ownH5869 landH127 which I gaveH5414 to my servantH5650 JacobH3290. 26And they shall dwellH3427 securely therein; yea, they shall buildH1129 housesH1004, and plantH5193 vineyardsH3754, and shall dwellH3427 securely, when I have executed judgmentsH8201 upon all those that do them despite roundH5439 about them; and they shall knowH3045 that I am Jehovah their GodH430.
