Deuteronomy 5:2-22

Jehovah our GodH430 madeH3772 a covenantH1285 with us in HorebH2722. 3Jehovah madeH3772 not this covenantH1285 with our fathersH1, but with us, even us, who are all of us hereH6311 aliveH2416 this dayH3117. 4Jehovah spake with you faceH6440 to faceH6440 in the mount out of the midstH8432 of the fireH784 5(I stoodH5975 between Jehovah and you at that timeH6256, to show you the wordH1697 of Jehovah: for ye were afraidH3372 because of the fireH784, and wentH5927 not up into the mount), sayingH559,

I am Jehovah thy GodH430, who broughtH3318 thee out of the landH776 of EgyptH4714, out of the houseH1004 of bondage.

Thou shalt have no otherH312 godsH430 before me.

Thou shalt not makeH6213 unto thee a graven imageH6459, nor any likeness of anything that is in heavenH8064 above, or that is in the earthH776 beneath, or that is in the waterH4325 under the earthH776: 9thou shalt not bowH7812 down thyself unto them, nor serveH5647 them; for I, Jehovah, thy GodH430, am a jealousH7067 GodH430, visitingH6485 the iniquityH5771 of the fathersH1 upon the children, and upon the thirdH8029 and upon the fourthH7256 generationH8029 of them that hateH8130 me; 10and showing lovingkindness unto thousandsH505 of them that loveH157 me and keepH8104 my commandmentsH4687.

Thou shalt not takeH5375 the nameH8034 of Jehovah thy GodH430 in vain: for Jehovah will not hold him guiltless that taketh his nameH8034 in vain.

ObserveH8104 the sabbathH7676 dayH3117, to keepH8104 it holyH6942, as Jehovah thy GodH430 commandedH6680 thee. 13SixH8337 daysH3117 shalt thou laborH5647, and do all thy workH4399; 14but the seventhH7637 dayH3117 is a sabbathH7676 unto Jehovah thy GodH430: in it thou shalt not do any workH4399, thou, nor thy sonH1121, nor thy daughterH1323, nor thy man-servant, nor thy maid-servant, nor thine oxH7794, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattleH929, nor thy stranger that is within thy gatesH8179; that thy man-servant and thy maid-servant may restH5117 as well as thou. 15And thou shalt rememberH2142 that thou wast a servantH5650 in the landH776 of EgyptH4714, and Jehovah thy GodH430 broughtH3318 thee out thence by a mightyH2389 handH3027 and by an outstretchedH5186 armH2220: thereforeH3651 Jehovah thy GodH430 commandedH6680 thee to keep the sabbathH7676 dayH3117.

HonorH3513 thy fatherH1 and thy motherH517, as Jehovah thy GodH430 commandedH6680 thee; that thy daysH3117 may be long, and that it may goH3190 wellH3190 with thee, in the landH127 which Jehovah thy GodH430 giveth thee.

Thou shalt not kill.

Neither shalt thou commitH5003 adulteryH5003.

Neither shalt thou stealH1589.

Neither shalt thou bear false witnessH5707 against thy neighborH7453.

Neither shalt thou covetH2530 thy neighbor’sH7453 wifeH802; neither shalt thou desireH183 thy neighbor’sH7453 houseH1004, his fieldH7704, or his man-servant, or his maid-servant, his oxH7794, or his ass, or anything that is thy neighbor’sH7453.

These wordsH1697 Jehovah spake unto all your assemblyH6951 in the mount out of the midstH8432 of the fireH784, of the cloudH6051, and of the thickH6205 darknessH6205, with a greatH1419 voiceH6963: and he addedH3254 no more. And he wroteH3789 them upon twoH8147 tables of stoneH68, and gaveH5414 them unto me.
