Deuteronomy 16

1ObserveH8104 the monthH2320 of AbibH24, and keepH8104 the passoverH6453 unto Jehovah thy GodH430; for in the monthH2320 of AbibH24 Jehovah thy GodH430 broughtH3318 thee forthH3318 out of EgyptH4714 by nightH3915. 2And thou shalt sacrificeH2076 the passoverH6453 unto Jehovah thy GodH430, of the flockH6629 and the herdH1241, in the placeH4725 which Jehovah shall chooseH977, to cause his nameH8034 to dwellH7931 there. 3Thou shalt eatH398 no leavenedH2557 breadH3899 with it; sevenH7651 daysH3117 shalt thou eatH398 unleavenedH4682 breadH3899 therewith, even the breadH3899 of affliction; for thou camest forthH3318 out of the landH776 of EgyptH4714 in hasteH2649: that thou mayest rememberH2142 the dayH3117 when thou camest forthH3318 out of the landH776 of EgyptH4714 all the daysH3117 of thy life. 4And there shall be no leavenH7603 seenH7200 with thee in all thy bordersH1366 sevenH7651 daysH3117; neither shall any of the fleshH1320, which thou sacrificest the firstH7223 dayH3117 at even, remainH3885 all night until the morningH1242. 5Thou mayest not sacrificeH2076 the passoverH6453 within any of thy gatesH8179, which Jehovah thy GodH430 giveth thee; 6but at the placeH4725 which Jehovah thy GodH430 shall chooseH977, to cause his nameH8034 to dwellH7931 in, there thou shalt sacrificeH2076 the passoverH6453 at even, at the goingH3318 downH7931 of the sunH8121, at the season that thou camest forthH3318 out of EgyptH4714. 7And thou shalt roast and eatH398 it in the placeH4725 which Jehovah thy GodH430 shall chooseH977: and thou shalt turnH6437 in the morningH1242, and goH1980 unto thy tentsH168. 8SixH8337 daysH3117 thou shalt eatH398 unleavenedH4682 breadH4682; and on the seventhH7637 dayH3117 shall be a solemnH6116 assemblyH6116 to Jehovah thy GodH430; thou shalt do no workH4399 therein.

9SevenH7651 weeksH7620 shalt thou number unto thee: from the time thou beginnest to put the sickleH2770 to the standingH7054 grainH7054 shalt thou beginH2490 to number sevenH7651 weeksH7620. 10And thou shalt keep the feastH2282 of weeksH7620 unto Jehovah thy GodH430 with a tribute of a freewill-offering of thy handH3027, which thou shalt giveH5414, according as Jehovah thy GodH430 blesseth thee: 11and thou shalt rejoiceH8055 before Jehovah thy GodH430, thou, and thy sonH1121, and thy daughterH1323, and thy man-servant, and thy maid-servant, and the LeviteH3881 that is within thy gatesH8179, and the sojournerH1616, and the fatherlessH3490, and the widowH490, that are in the midstH7130 of thee, in the placeH4725 which Jehovah thy GodH430 shall chooseH977, to cause his nameH8034 to dwellH7931 there. 12And thou shalt rememberH2142 that thou wast a bondman in EgyptH4714: and thou shalt observeH8104 and do these statutesH2706.

13Thou shalt keep the feastH2282 of tabernacles sevenH7651 daysH3117, after that thou hast gatheredH622 in from thy threshing-floor and from thy winepressH3342: 14and thou shalt rejoiceH8055 in thy feastH2282, thou, and thy sonH1121, and thy daughterH1323, and thy man-servant, and thy maid-servant, and the LeviteH3881, and the sojournerH1616, and the fatherlessH3490, and the widowH490, that are within thy gatesH8179. 15SevenH7651 daysH3117 shalt thou keep a feast unto Jehovah thy GodH430 in the placeH4725 which Jehovah shall chooseH977; because Jehovah thy GodH430 will blessH1288 thee in all thine increase, and in all the workH4639 of thy handsH3027, and thou shalt beH1961 altogether joyfulH8056. 16ThreeH7969 timesH6471 in a yearH8141 shall all thy malesH2138 appearH7200 before Jehovah thy GodH430 in the placeH4725 which he shall chooseH977: in the feastH2282 of unleavenedH4682 breadH4682, and in the feastH2282 of weeksH7620, and in the feastH2282 of tabernacles; and they shall not appearH7200 before Jehovah emptyH7387: 17every manH376 shall giveH5414 as he is able, according to the blessingH1293 of Jehovah thy GodH430 which he hath givenH5414 thee.

18JudgesH8199 and officersH7860 shalt thou makeH5414 thee in all thy gatesH8179, which Jehovah thy GodH430 giveth thee, according to thy tribesH7626; and they shall judgeH8199 the peopleH5971 with righteous judgmentH4941. 19Thou shalt not wrest justiceH4941: thou shalt not respect persons; neither shalt thou takeH3947 a bribeH7810; for a bribeH7810 doth blindH5786 the eyesH5869 of the wiseH2450, and pervert the wordsH1697 of the righteousH6662. 20That which is altogether just shalt thou follow, that thou mayest liveH2421, and inheritH3423 the landH776 which Jehovah thy GodH430 giveth thee.

21Thou shalt not plantH5193 thee an AsherahH842 of any kind of treeH6086 beside the altarH4196 of Jehovah thy GodH430, which thou shalt makeH6213 thee. 22Neither shalt thou setH6965 thee up a pillarH4676; which Jehovah thy GodH430 hateth.
