Deuteronomy 32
1GiveH238 earH238, ye heavensH8064, and I will speakH1696; And let the earthH776 hearH8085 the wordsH561 of my mouthH6310.2My doctrine shall dropH6201 as the rainH4306; My speech shall distil as the dewH2919, As the small rainH4306 upon the tender grassH1877, And as the showersH7241 upon the herb.3For I will proclaimH7121 the nameH8034 of Jehovah: AscribeH3051 ye greatnessH1433 unto our GodH430.4The RockH6697, his workH6467 is perfectH8549; For all his waysH1870 are justiceH4941: A GodH410 of faithfulnessH530 and without iniquity, Just and rightH3477 is he.5They have dealt corruptlyH7843 with him, they are not his children, it is their blemishH3971; They area perverseH6141 and crooked generationH1755.6Do ye thus requite Jehovah, O foolishH5036 peopleH5971 and unwise? Is not he thy fatherH1 that hath boughtH7069 thee? He hath madeH6213 thee, and establishedH3559 thee.7RememberH2142 the daysH3117 of oldH2205, ConsiderH995 the yearsH8141 of many generationsH1755: AskH7592 thy fatherH1, and he will show thee; Thine eldersH2205, and they will tellH5046 thee.8When the Most High gaveH5157 to the nationsH1471 their inheritanceH5157, When he separatedH6504 the children of menH120, He setH5324 the bounds of the peoplesH5971 According to the numberH4557 of the children of IsraelH3478.9For Jehovah’s portionH2506 is his peopleH5971; JacobH3290 is the lot of his inheritanceH5159.10He foundH4672 him in a desert landH776, And in the waste howling wildernessH4057; He compassed him about, he cared for him, He keptH5341 him as the apple of his eyeH5869.11As an eagleH5404 that stirreth up her nestH7064, That fluttereth over her youngH1469, He spreadH6566 abroad his wingsH3671, he tookH3947 them, He bare them on his pinionsH84.12Jehovah aloneH910 did leadH5148 him, And there was no foreign godH410 with him.13He made him rideH7392 on the highH1116 placesH1116 of the earthH776, And he did eatH398 the increase of the fieldH7704; And he made him to suckH3243 honeyH1706 out of the rockH6697, And oilH8081 out of the flinty rockH6697;14Butter of the herdH1241, and milkH2461 of the flockH6629, With fatH2459 of lambsH3733, And ramsH352 of the breed of BashanH1316, and goatsH6260, With the finest of the wheatH2406; And of the bloodH1818 of the grape thou drankest wine.15But JeshurunH3484 waxed fatH8080, and kicked: Thou art waxed fatH8080, thou art grown thickH5666, thou art become sleek; Then he forsook GodH433 who madeH6213 him, And lightly esteemed the RockH6697 of his salvationH3444.16They moved him to jealousy with strangeH2114 gods; With abominationsH8441 provokedH3707 they him to angerH3707.17They sacrificedH2076 unto demonsH7700, which were no GodH430, To godsH430 that they knewH3045 not, To newH2319godsH430that cameH935 up of late, Which your fathersH1 dreaded not.18Of the RockH6697 that begat thee thou art unmindful, And hast forgottenH7911 GodH410 that gaveH3205 thee birthH3205.19And Jehovah sawH7200it, and abhorred them, Because of the provocation of his sonsH1121 and his daughtersH1323.20And he saidH559, I will hideH5641 my faceH6440 from them, I will seeH7200 what their endH319 shall be: For they are a very perverseH8419 generationH1755, ChildrenH1121 in whom is no faithfulness.21They have moved me to jealousy with that which is not GodH410; They have provokedH3707 me to angerH3707 with their vanitiesH1892: And I will move them to jealousy with those that are not a peopleH5971; I will provokeH3707 them to angerH3707 with a foolishH5036 nationH1471.22For a fireH784 is kindled in mine angerH639, And burneth unto the lowest SheolH7585, And devoureth the earthH776 with its increase, And setteth on fireH784 the foundationsH4146 of the mountainsH2022.23I will heap evils upon them; I will spend mine arrowsH2671 upon them:24They shall bewasted with hungerH7458, and devoured with burning heat And bitter destructionH6986; And the teethH8127 of beasts will I sendH7971 upon them, With the poison of crawling things of the dustH6083.25Without shall the swordH2719 bereaveH7921, And in the chambersH2315 terrorH367; It shall destroyboth youngH970 manH376 and virginH1330, The suckling with the manH376 of grayH7872 hairsH7872.26I saidH559, I would scatter them afar, I would make the remembranceH2143 of them to ceaseH7673 from among men;27Were it not that I feared the provocation of the enemyH341, LestH6435 their adversaries should judge amiss, LestH6435 they should sayH559, Our handH3027 is exaltedH7311, And Jehovah hath not done all this.28For they are a nationH1471 void of counselH6098, And there is no understandingH8394 in them.29Oh that they were wiseH2449, that they understoodH995 this, That they would considerH995 their latterH319 endH319!30HowH349 should oneH259 chase a thousandH505, And twoH8147 put tenH7233 thousandH505 to flight, Except their RockH6697 had soldH4376 them, And Jehovah had deliveredH5462 them up?31For their rockH6697 is not as our RockH6697, Even our enemiesH341 themselves being judges.32For their vineH1612 is of the vineH1612 of SodomH5467, And of the fieldsH7709 of GomorrahH6017: Their grapes are grapes of gall, Their clustersH811 are bitterH4846:33Their wineH3196 is the poisonH7219 of serpentsH8577, And the cruelH393 venomH2534 of asps.34Is not this laid up in store with me, SealedH2856 up among my treasuresH214?35VengeanceH5359 is mine, and recompense, At the timeH6256 when their footH7272 shall slide: For the dayH3117 of their calamityH343 is at hand, And the things that are to come upon them shall make haste.36For Jehovah will judgeH1777 his peopleH5971, And repentH5162 himself for his servantsH5650; When he seeth that their power is gone, And there is noneremaining, shutH6113 up or leftH5800 at large.37And he will sayH559, WhereH335 are their godsH430, The rockH6697 in which they took refugeH2620;38Which did eatH398 the fatH2459 of their sacrificesH2077, AnddrankH8354 the wineH3196 of their drink-offering? Let them riseH6965 up and helpH5826 you, Let them beH1961 your protection.39SeeH7200 nowH6258 that I, even I, am he, And there is no godH430 with me: I killH4191, and I make aliveH2421; I wound, and I healH7495; And there is none that can deliverH5337 out of my handH3027.40For I liftH5375 up my handH3027 to heavenH8064, And sayH559, As I live for everH5769,41If I whet my glittering swordH2719, And my handH3027 take holdH270 on judgmentH4941; I will render vengeanceH5359 to mine adversaries, And will recompense them that hateH8130 me.42I will makeH7937 mine arrowsH2671 drunkH7937 with bloodH1818, And my swordH2719 shall devourH398 fleshH1320; With the bloodH1818 of the slainH2491 and the captivesH7633, From the headH7218 of the leadersH7218 of the enemyH341.43Rejoice, O ye nationsH1471, withhis peopleH5971: For he will avengeH5358 the bloodH1818 of his servantsH5650, And will render vengeanceH5359 to his adversaries, And will make expiation for his landH127, for his peopleH5971.
44And MosesH4872 cameH935 and spake all the wordsH1697 of this songH7892 in the earsH241 of the peopleH5971, he, and HosheaH1954 the sonH1121 of NunH5126. 45And MosesH4872 made an endH3615 of speakingH1696 all these wordsH1697 to all IsraelH3478; 46and he saidH559 unto them, SetH7760 your heartH3824 unto all the wordsH1697 which I testify unto you this dayH3117, which ye shall commandH6680 your children to observeH8104 to do, even all the wordsH1697 of this lawH8451. 47For it is no vain thingH1697 for you; because it is your life, and through this thingH1697 ye shall prolongH748 your daysH3117 in the landH127, whither ye go over the JordanH3383 to possessH3423 it.
48And Jehovah spake unto MosesH4872 that selfsame dayH3117, sayingH559, 49Get thee up into this mountainH2022 of AbarimH5682, unto mount NeboH5015, which is in the landH776 of MoabH4124, that is over against JerichoH3405; and behold the landH776 of CanaanH3667, which I giveH5414 unto the children of IsraelH3478 for a possessionH272; 50and dieH4191 in the mount whither thou goest up, and be gatheredH622 unto thy peopleH5971, as AaronH175 thy brotherH251 diedH4191 in mount HorH2023, and was gatheredH622 unto his peopleH5971: 51because ye trespassed against me in the midstH8432 of the children of IsraelH3478 at the watersH4325 of Meribah of KadeshH6946, in the wildernessH4057 of ZinH6790; because ye sanctifiedH6942 me not in the midstH8432 of the children of IsraelH3478. 52For thou shalt seeH7200 the landH776 before thee; but thou shalt not goH935 thither into the landH776 which I giveH5414 the children of IsraelH3478.
