2YhwhH3068 our GodH430 madeH3772 a covenantH1285 with us in HorebH2722. 3YhwhH3068 madeH3772 not this covenantH1285 with our fathersH1, but with usH587, even us, who are all of usH428 here aliveH2416 this dayH3117. 4YhwhH3068 talkedH1696 with you faceH6440 to faceH6440 in the mountH2022 out of the midstH8432 of the fireH784, 5(I stoodH5975 between YhwhH3068 and you at that timeH6256, to shewH5046 you the wordH1697 of YhwhH3068: for ye were afraidH3372 by reasonH6440 of the fireH784, and went not upH5927 into the mountH2022;) sayingH559,

6I am YhwhH3068 thy GodH430, which brought thee outH3318 of the landH776 of EgyptH4714, from the houseH1004 of bondageH5650.1 7Thou shalt have none otherH312 godsH430 beforeH6440 me. 8Thou shalt not makeH6213 thee any graven imageH6459, or any likenessH8544 of any thing that is in heavenH8064 aboveH4605, or that is in the earthH776 beneath, or that is in the watersH4325 beneath the earthH776: 9Thou shalt not bow downH7812 thyself unto them, nor serveH5647 them: for I YhwhH3068 thy GodH430 am a jealousH7067 GodH410, visitingH6485 the iniquityH5771 of the fathersH1 upon the childrenH1121 unto the thirdH8029 and fourthH7256 generation of them that hateH8130 me, 10And shewingH6213 mercyH2617 unto thousandsH505 of them that loveH157 me and keepH8104 my commandmentsH4687. 11Thou shalt not takeH5375 the nameH8034 of YhwhH3068 thy GodH430 in vainH7723: for YhwhH3068 will not hold him guiltlessH5352 that takethH5375 his nameH8034 in vainH7723. 12KeepH8104 the sabbathH7676 dayH3117 to sanctifyH6942 it, as YhwhH3068 thy GodH430 hath commandedH6680 thee. 13SixH8337 daysH3117 thou shalt labourH5647, and doH6213 all thy workH4399: 14But the seventhH7637 dayH3117 is the sabbathH7676 of YhwhH3068 thy GodH430: in it thou shalt not doH6213 any workH4399, thou, nor thy sonH1121, nor thy daughterH1323, nor thy manservantH5650, nor thy maidservantH519, nor thine oxH7794, nor thine donkeyH2543, nor any of thy cattleH929, nor thy strangerH1616 that is within thy gatesH8179; that thy manservantH5650 and thy maidservantH519 may restH5117 as well as thou. 15And rememberH2142 that thou wast a servantH5650 in the landH776 of EgyptH4714, and that YhwhH3068 thy GodH430 broughtH3318 thee out thence through a mightyH2389 handH3027 and by a stretched outH5186 armH2220: Therefore YhwhH3068 thy GodH430 commandedH6680 thee to keepH6213 the sabbathH7676 dayH3117.

16HonourH3513 thy fatherH1 and thy motherH517, as YhwhH3068 thy GodH430 hath commandedH6680 thee; that thy daysH3117 may be prolongedH748, and that it may go wellH3190 with thee, in the landH127 which YhwhH3068 thy GodH430 givethH5414 thee. 17Thou shalt not killH7523. 18Neither shalt thou commit adulteryH5003. 19Neither shalt thou stealH1589. 20Neither shalt thou bearH6030 falseH7723 witnessH5707 against thy neighbourH7453. 21Neither shalt thou desireH2530 thy neighbour’sH7453 wifeH802, neither shalt thou covetH183 thy neighbour’sH7453 houseH1004, his fieldH7704, or his manservantH5650, or his maidservantH519, his oxH7794, or his donkeyH2543, or any thing that is thy neighbour’sH7453.
