36WhileὡςhōsG5613you haveἔχετε,echeteG2192the LightφῶςphōsG5457,believeπιστεύετεpisteueteG4100in the Lightφῶς,phōsG5457,soἵναinaG2443thatG2443you may becomeγένησθε.genēstheG1096sonsυἱοὶhuioiG5207of LightφωτὸςphōtosG5457.”TheseG3778thingsταῦταtautaG3778JesusἸησοῦς,IēsousG2424proclaimedἐλάλησενelalēsenG2980,and He wentG565awayἀπελθὼνapelthōnG565andhidἐκρύβηekrubēG2928Himself from them.

37But though He had performedπεποιηκότοςpepoiēkotosG4160soΤοσαῦταTosautaG5118manyG5118signsσημεῖαsēmeiaG4592inG1715their sightG1715, they stillwere not believingἐπίστευονepisteuonG4100in Him.

38This happenedsoἵναinaG2443thatG2443the wordλόγοςlogosG3056of IsaiahἨσαΐουĒsaiouG2268the prophetπροφήτουprophētouG4396whichὃνhonG3739he spokeG3004would be fulfilledπληρωθῇplērōthēaG4137: “Lordκύριε,kurieG2962,whoτίςtisG5101has believedἐπίστευσενepisteusenG4100our reportἀκοῇakoēaG189?And to whomτίνιtiniG5101has the armβραχίωνbrachiōnG1023of the LordκυρίουkuriouG2962been revealedἀπεκαλύφθη;apekaluphthēG601?”

39For thisτοῦτοtoutoG3778reasonδιὰdiaG1223they couldἠδύναντοēdunantoG1410not believeπιστεύειν,pisteueinG4100,for IsaiahἨσαΐας·ĒsaiasG2268saidG3004againπάλινpalinG3825,

40“He has blindedτετύφλωκενtetuphlōkenG5186their eyesὀφθαλμοὺςophthalmousG3788and HehardenedἐπώρωσενepōrōsenG4456their heartκαρδίαν,kardianG2588,soG2443thatG2443they will not seeG3708with their eyesὀφθαλμοῖςophthalmoisG3788and understandνοήσωσινnoēsōsinG3539with their heartκαρδίᾳkardiaG2588, andbe convertedστραφῶσινstraphōsinG4762, and so I will nothealἰάσομαιiasomaiG2390them.”

41TheseG3778thingsΤαῦταTautaG3778IsaiahἨσαΐαςĒsaiasG2268saidG3004becauseὅτιhotiG3754he sawG3708His gloryδόξανdoxanG1391, andhe spokeἐλάλησενelalēsenG2980aboutπερὶperiG4012Him.

42Neverthelessὅμως μέντοιhomōs mentoiG3676 G3305manyπολλοὶpolloiG4183,evenκαὶkaiG2532ofthe rulersἀρχόντωνarchontōnG758,believedἐπίστευσανepisteusanG4100in Him, butbecauseδιὰdiaG1223of the PhariseesΦαρισαίουςPharisaiousG5330they were not confessingὡμολόγουν,hōmologounG3670Him,soἵναinaG2443thatG2443they would not beexcommunicatedγένωνται.genōntaiG1096 G656fromG656theG656synagogueἀποσυνάγωγοιaposunagōgoiG656;

43for they lovedἠγάπησανēgapēsanG25theapprovalδόξανdoxanG1391of peopleἀνθρώπωνanthrōpōnG444ratherμᾶλλονmallonG3123thanG2228theapprovalδόξανdoxanG1391of Godθεοῦ.¶theouG2316.

44NowδὲdeG1161JesusἸησοῦςIēsousG2424criedG2896outG2896and saidG3004, “The one who believesπιστεύωνpisteuōnG4100in Me, does not believeπιστεύειpisteueiG4100only in Me, but alsoin Him who sentπέμψαντάpempsantaG3992Me.

45Andthe one who seesθεωρῶνtheōrōnG2334Me seesθεωρεῖtheōreiG2334Him who sentπέμψαντάpempsantaG3992Me.

46I have comeἐλήλυθα,elēluthaG2064asLightφῶςphōsG5457into the worldκόσμονkosmonG2889,soἵναinaG2443thatG2443noμὴmēG3361 G3956oneG3956who believesπιστεύωνpisteuōnG4100in Me will remainμείνῃ.meinēG3306in darknessσκοτίᾳskotiaG4653.

47IfἐάνeanG1437anyoneτίςtisG5100hearsἀκούσῃakousēG191MyteachingsῥημάτωνrhēmatōnG4487and does not keepφυλάξῃ,phulaxēG5442them, I do not judgeκρίνωkrinōG2919him; forI did not comeἦλθονēlthonG2064to judgeκρίνωkrinōG2919the worldκόσμονkosmonG2889,but to saveσώσωsōsōG4982the worldκόσμον.kosmonG2889.

48The one who rejectsἀθετῶνathetōnG114Me and does notacceptλαμβάνωνlambanōnG2983MyteachingsῥήματάrhēmataG4487hasἔχειecheiG2192one who judgesκρίνονταkrinontaG2919him:the wordλόγοςlogosG3056whichὃνhonG3739I spokeἐλάλησα,elalēsaG2980.That will judgeκρινεῖkrineiG2919him onthe lastἐσχάτῃeschatēG2078dayἡμέρᾳ.hēmeraG2250.

49For I did not speakἐλάλησα,elalēsaG2980on My ownG1683,but the Fatherπατήρ,patērG3962HimselfαὐτόςautosG846who sentπέμψαςpempsasG3992Mehas givenδέδωκενdedōkenG1325Me a commandmentἐντολὴνentolēnG1785as towhatτίtiG5101to sayG3004and whatτίtiG5101to speakλαλήσω.lalēsōG2980.

50And I knowG3609thatHis commandmentἐντολὴentolēG1785is eternalαἰώνιόςaiōniosG166lifeζωὴzōēG2222;thereforeοὖνounG3767the things I speakλαλῶ,lalōG2980,I speakλαλῶ.¶lalōG2980justG2531asG2531the Fatherπατήρ,patērG3962has toldG3004Me.”
