2Whyלָ֤מָּהLa.mahH4100do youspendתִשְׁקְלוּ־tish.ke.lu-H8254moneyכֶ֙סֶף֙khe.sefH3701for what isnot breadלֶ֔חֶםLe.chemH3899,And your wagesוִיגִיעֲכֶ֖םvi.gi.'a.KhemH3018for whatH7654doesH7654not satisfyH7654?Listenשִׁמְע֨וּshim.'UH8085carefullyשָׁמ֤וֹעַsha.Mo.a'H8085to Me, andeatוְאִכְלוּ־ve.'ikh.lu-H398whatH2896isH2896goodט֔וֹבTovH2896, Anddelightוְתִתְעַנַּ֥גve.tit.'a.NagH6026yourselfנַפְשְׁכֶֽם׃naf.she.KhemH5315in abundanceבַּדֶּ֖שֶׁןba.De.shenH1880.

3Inclineהַטּ֤וּha.TuH5186your earאָזְנְכֶם֙'a.ze.ne.KhemH241and comeוּלְכ֣וּu.le.KhuH1980to Me.Listenשִׁמְע֖וּshim.'UH8085, that you mayliveוּתְחִ֣יu.te.ChiH2421;And I will makeוְאֶכְרְתָ֤הve.'ekh.re.TahH3772an everlastingעוֹלָ֔םo.LamH5769covenantבְּרִ֣יתbe.RitH1285with you, According to thefaithfulהַנֶּאֱמָנִֽים׃ha.ne.'e.ma.NimH539merciesחַֽסְדֵ֥יchas.DeiH2617shown to Davidדָוִ֖דda.VidH1732.

4Beholdהֵ֛ןhenH2005,I have madeנְתַתִּ֑יוne.ta.TivH5414him a witnessעֵ֥ד'edH5707to the peoplesלְאוּמִּ֖יםle.'u.MimH3816, Aleaderנָגִ֥ידna.GidH5057and commanderוּמְצַוֵּ֖הu.me.tza.VehH6680for the peoplesלְאֻמִּֽים׃le.'u.MimH3816.

5Beholdהֵ֣ןhenH2005,you will callתִּקְרָ֔אtik.Ra'H7121anationגּ֤וֹיGoyH1471you do not knowתֵדַע֙te.Da'H3045,And a nationוְג֥וֹיve.GoyH1471which does not knowיְדָע֖וּךָye.da.'U.khaH3045you willrunיָר֑וּצוּya.Ru.tzuH7323to you,Becauseלְמַ֙עַן֙le.Ma.'anH4616of the Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ'e.lo.Hei.khaH430,the Holyוְלִקְד֥וֹשׁve.lik.Do.oshH6918OneH6918of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478; For He hasglorifiedפֵאֲרָֽךְ׃ סfe.'a.RakhH6286you.”

6Seekדִּרְשׁ֥וּdir.ShuH1875the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068while He may be foundבְּהִמָּצְא֑וֹbe.hi.ma.tze.'OH4672;Callקְרָאֻ֖הוּke.ra.'U.huH7121upon Him while He is nearקָרֽוֹב׃ka.RovH7138.

7Let the wickedרָשָׁע֙ra.Sha'H7563abandonיַעֲזֹ֤בya.'a.ZoH5800his wayדַּרְכּ֔וֹdar.KoH1870,And the unrighteousאָ֖וֶן'A.venH205personוְאִ֥ישׁve.'IshH376histhoughtsמַחְשְׁבֹתָ֑יוmach.she.vo.TavH4284; And let himreturnוְיָשֹׁ֤בve.ya.ShoH7725to the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068,And He will haveH7355compassionוִֽירַחֲמֵ֔הוּvi.ra.cha.Me.huH7355onH7355him,And to our Godאֱלֹהֵ֖ינוּ'e.lo.Hei.nuH430, For He willabundantlyיַרְבֶּ֥הyar.BehH7235pardonלִסְלֽוֹחַ׃lis.Lo.achH5545.

8“For My thoughtsמַחְשְׁבוֹתַי֙mach.she.vo.TaiH4284are notyour thoughtsמַחְשְׁב֣וֹתֵיכֶ֔םmach.she.Vo.tei.KhemH4284,NorH3808areyour waysדַרְכֵיכֶ֖םdar.khei.KhemH1870My waysדְּרָכָ֑יde.ra.KhaiH1870,”declaresנְאֻ֖םne.'UmH5002the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

9“For asthe heavensשָׁמַ֖יִםsha.Ma.yimH8064are higherH1361thanH4480the earthמֵאָ֑רֶץme.'A.retzH776,Soכֵּ֣ןkenH3651areH1361My waysדְרָכַי֙de.ra.KhaiH1870higherH1361thanH4480your waysמִדַּרְכֵיכֶ֔םmi.dar.khei.KhemH1870And My thoughtsוּמַחְשְׁבֹתַ֖יu.mach.she.vo.TaiH4284thanH4480your thoughtsמִמַּחְשְׁבֹתֵיכֶֽם׃mi.mach.she.vo.tei.KhemH4284.

10For as therainהַגֶּ֨שֶׁםha.Ge.shemH1653and the snowוְהַשֶּׁ֜לֶגve.ha.She.legH7950comeH3381downH3381from heavenהַשָּׁמַ֗יִםha.sha.Ma.yimH8064,And do not returnיָשׁ֔וּבya.ShuvH7725thereוְשָׁ֙מָּה֙ve.Sha.mahH8033withoutאִם־'im-H3588 H518wateringהִרְוָ֣הhir.VahH7301the earthהָאָ֔רֶץha.'A.retzH776And making it produceוְהוֹלִידָ֖הּve.ho.li.DahH3205and sproutוְהִצְמִיחָ֑הּve.hitz.mi.ChahH6779,And providingוְנָ֤תַןve.Na.tanH5414seedזֶ֙רַע֙ze.ra'H2233to the sowerלַזֹּרֵ֔עַla.zo.Re.a'H2232and breadוְלֶ֖חֶםve.Le.chemH3899to the eaterלָאֹכֵֽל׃la.'o.KhelH398;

11Soכֵּ֣ןkenH3651will Mywordדְבָרִי֙de.va.RiH1697be whichאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834goesH3318outH3318of My mouthמִפִּ֔יmi.PiH6310; It willnot returnיָשׁ֥וּבya.ShuvH7725to Me emptyרֵיקָ֑םrei.KamH7387,Withoutכִּ֤י אִם־ki 'im-H3588 H518accomplishingעָשָׂה֙'a.SahH6213whatאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834I desireחָפַ֔צְתִּיcha.Fatz.tiH2654,And without succeedingוְהִצְלִ֖יחַve.hitz.Li.achH6743in the purposefor whichאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834I sentשְׁלַחְתִּֽיו׃she.lach.TivH7971it.

12For you will goתֵצֵ֔אוּte.Tze.'uH3318outH3318withjoyבְשִׂמְחָ֣הve.sim.ChahH8057And be ledתּֽוּבָל֑וּןtu.va.LunH2986inpeaceוּבְשָׁל֖וֹםu.ve.sha.LomH7965; Themountainsהֶהָרִ֣יםhe.ha.RimH2022and the hillsוְהַגְּבָע֗וֹתve.ha.ge.va.'otH1389will breakיִפְצְח֤וּyif.tze.ChuH6476into shoutsרִנָּ֔הri.NahH7440ofH7440joyH7440beforeלִפְנֵיכֶם֙lif.nei.KhemH6440you,And allוְכָל־ve.kholH3605thetreesעֲצֵ֥י'a.TzeiH6086of the fieldהַשָּׂדֶ֖הha.sa.DehH7704will clapיִמְחֲאוּ־yim.cha.'u-H4222theirhandsכָֽף׃KhafH3709.

13InsteadH8478ofH8478thethornH5285bushH5285, thejuniperבְר֔וֹשׁve.Ro.oshH1265will comeH5927upH5927,And insteadH8478ofH8478thestingingH5636nettleH5636,the myrtleהֲדַ֑סha.DasH1918will comeH5927upH5927; And it will be amemorialלְשֵׁ֔םle.ShemH8034to the Lordלַֽיהוָה֙la.Yah.wehH3068,An everlastingעוֹלָ֖םo.LamH5769signלְא֥וֹתle.'otH226whichwill not be eliminatedיִכָּרֵֽת׃ סyi.ka.RetH3772.”
