Hezekiah Healed

1In thoseהָהֵ֔םha.HemH1992daysבַּיָּמִ֣יםbai.ya.MimH3117Hezekiahחִזְקִיָּ֖הוּchiz.ki.Ya.huH2396becameH2470mortallyלָמ֑וּתla.MutH4191illH2470. AndIsaiahיְשַׁעְיָ֨הוּye.sha'.Ya.huH3470the prophetהַנָּבִ֗יאha.na.Vi'H5030,the sonבֶן־ven-H1121of Amozאָמ֜וֹץ'a.MotzH531,cameוַיָּב֣וֹאvai.ya.Vo'H935to him and saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to him, “ThisH3541isH3541whatH3541the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068saysאָמַ֤ר'a.MarH559: ‘SetH6680your houseלְבֵיתֶ֔ךָle.vei.Te.khaH1004inH6680orderH6680,for you are going to dieמֵ֥תmetH4191and not liveתִֽחְיֶֽה׃Tich.YehH2421.’”

2Then Hezekiahחִזְקִיָּ֛הוּchiz.ki.Ya.huH2396turnedוַיַּסֵּ֧בvai.ya.SevH5437his faceפָּנָ֖יוpa.NavH6440to the wallהַקִּ֑ירha.KirH7023and prayedוַיִּתְפַּלֵּ֖לvai.yit.pa.LelH6419to the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068,

3and saidוַיֹּאמַ֗רvai.yo.MarH559, “Pleaseאָנָּ֤ה'a.NahH577, Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068,justנָ֞אna'H4994rememberזְכָר־ze.khor-H2142howאֲשֶׁ֧ר'a.SherH834I havewalkedהִתְהַלַּ֣כְתִּיhit.ha.Lakh.tiH1980beforeלְפָנֶ֗יךָle.fa.Nei.khaH6440Youwholeheartedlyשָׁלֵ֔םsha.LemH8003 H3824and in truthבֶּֽאֱמֶת֙be.'e.MetH571, andhave doneעָשִׂ֑יתִי'a.Si.tiH6213whatH2896isH2896goodוְהַטּ֥וֹבve.ha.TovH2896in Your sightבְּעֵינֶ֖יךָbe.'ei.Nei.khaH5869.”And Hezekiahחִזְקִיָּ֖הוּchiz.ki.Ya.huH2396weptוַיֵּ֥בְךְּvai.Ye.vekH1058profuselyגָדֽוֹל׃ סga.DolH1419.

4Then the wordדְּבַר־de.var-H1697of the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068cameוַֽיְהִי֙vay.HiH1961to Isaiahיְשַׁעְיָ֖הוּye.sha'.Ya.huH3470,sayingלֵאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

5“Goהָל֞וֹךְha.LokhH1980and sayוְאָמַרְתָּ֣ve.'a.mar.TaH559to Hezekiahחִזְקִיָּ֗הוּchiz.ki.Ya.huH2396, ‘ThisH3541isH3541whatH3541the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068,the Godאֱלֹהֵי֙'e.lo.HeiH430of your fatherאָבִ֔יךָ'a.Vi.khaH1Davidדָּוִ֣דda.VidH1732saysאָמַ֤ר'a.MarH559: “I have heardשָׁמַ֙עְתִּי֙sha.Ma'.tiH8085your prayerתְּפִלָּתֶ֔ךָte.fi.la.Te.khaH8605,I have seenרָאִ֖יתִיra.'I.tiH7200your tearsדִּמְעָתֶ֑ךָdim.'a.Te.khaH1832;beholdH2009,I will addיוֹסִ֣ףyo.SifH3254fifteenחֲמֵ֥שׁ עֶשְׂרֵ֖הcha.Mesh 'es.RehH2568 H6240yearsשָׁנָֽה׃sha.NahH8141to yourlifeיָמֶ֔יךָya.Mei.khaH3117.

6And I willsaveאַצִּ֣ילְךָ֔'a.Tzi.le.khaH5337you and thisH2088cityהָעִ֣ירha.'IrH5892from the handוּמִכַּ֤ףu.mi.KafH3709of the kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Assyriaאַשּׁוּר֙'a.ShurH804;and I will protectוְגַנּוֹתִ֖יve.ga.no.TiH1598thisH2088cityהָעִ֥ירha.'IrH5892.”’

7“And thisוְזֶה־ve.zeh-H2088shall be thesignהָא֖וֹתha.'otH226to you from the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068,that the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068will performיַעֲשֶׂ֣הya.'a.SehH6213thisהַזֶּ֖הha.ZehH2088wordהַדָּבָ֥רha.da.VarH1697that He has spokenדִּבֵּֽר׃di.BerH1696:

8BeholdH2009, I willmakeH7725the shadowצֵ֣לtzelH6738on the stairwayהַֽמַּעֲל֡וֹתha.ma.'a.LotH4609,whichאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834has goneH3381downיָרְדָה֩ya.re.DahH3381with the sunבַּשֶּׁ֛מֶשׁba.She.meshH8121on the stairwayבְמַעֲל֨וֹתve.ma.'a.LotH4609of Ahazאָחָ֥ז'a.ChazH271,goH7725backאֲחֹרַנִּ֖ית'a.cho.ra.NitH322tenעֶ֣שֶׂר'E.serH6235stepsמַעֲל֑וֹתma.'a.LotH4609.” So thesun’sהַשֶּׁ֙מֶשׁ֙ha.She.meshH8121shadowwentH7725backH7725tenעֶ֣שֶׂר'E.serH6235stepsמַעֲל֔וֹתma.'a.LotH4609on the stairwayבַּֽמַּעֲל֖וֹתba.ma.'a.LotH4609on whichאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834it had goneH3381downיָרָֽדָה׃ סya.Ra.dahH3381.

9This isa writingמִכְתָּ֖בmikh.TavH4385of Hezekiahלְחִזְקִיָּ֣הוּle.chiz.ki.Ya.huH2396kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Judahיְהוּדָ֑הye.hu.DahH3063after his illnessמֵחָלְיֽוֹ׃me.chal.YoH2483andrecoveryוַיְחִ֖יvay.ChiH2421:

10I saidאָמַ֗רְתִּי'a.Mar.tiH559, “In the middleבִּדְמִ֥יbid.MiH1824of mylifeיָמַ֛יya.MaiH3117I am to enterאֵלֵ֖כָה'e.Le.khahH1980thegatesבְּשַׁעֲרֵ֣יbe.sha.'a.ReiH8179of Sheolשְׁא֑וֹלshe.'olH7585; I have beendeprivedפֻּקַּ֖דְתִּיpu.Kad.tiH6485of the restיֶ֥תֶרYe.terH3499of my yearsשְׁנוֹתָֽי׃she.no.TaiH8141.”

11I saidאָמַ֙רְתִּי֙'a.Mar.tiH559, “I will not seeאֶרְאֶ֣ה'er.'EhH7200the Lordיָ֔הּYahH3050,The Lordיָ֖הּyahH3050in the landבְּאֶ֣רֶץbe.'E.retzH776of the livingהַחַיִּ֑יםha.chai.YimH2416;I will noH3808longerע֖וֹדodH5750lookאַבִּ֥יט'a.BitH5027on mankindאָדָ֛ם'a.DamH120amongעִם־'im-H5973the inhabitantsי֥וֹשְׁבֵיYo.o.she.veiH3427of the worldH2465.

12Like a shepherd’sH7473tentכְּאֹ֣הֶלke.'O.helH168my dwellingדּוֹרִ֗יdo.RiH1755is pulledנִסַּ֧עni.Sa'H5265upH5265and removedוְנִגְלָ֛הve.nig.LahH1540from me; As aweaverכָאֹרֵ֤גkha.'o.RegH707Irolledקִפַּ֨דְתִּיki.Pad.tiH7088up my lifeH2425. 14Like a swallowכְּס֤וּסke.SusH5483, likea craneעָגוּר֙'a.GurH5693,soכֵּ֣ןkenH3651I twitterאֲצַפְצֵ֔ף'a.tzaf.TzefH6850; Imoanאֶהְגֶּ֖ה'eh.GehH1897like a doveכַּיּוֹנָ֑הkai.yo.NahH3123; Myeyesעֵינַי֙'ei.NaiH5869lookH1809wistfullyH1809to the heightsלַמָּר֔וֹםla.ma.RomH4791;LordH3068,I am oppressedעָֽשְׁקָה־'a.she.kah-H6234,beH6148mysecurityH6148.

21NowIsaiahיְשַׁעְיָ֔הוּye.sha'.Ya.huH3470had saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “Have them takeיִשְׂא֖וּyis.'UH5375a cakeדְּבֶ֣לֶתde.Ve.letH1690of figsתְּאֵנִ֑יםte.'e.NimH8384and applyוְיִמְרְח֥וּve.yim.re.ChuH4799it to the boilהַשְּׁחִ֖יןha.she.ChinH7822,so that he may recoverוְיֶֽחִי׃ve.Ye.chiH2421.”
