1For the LawνόμοςnomosG3551,since it hasἔχωνechōnG2192onlya shadowΣκιὰνSkianG4639ofthe goodἀγαθῶν,agathōnG18thingsG18toG3195comeG3195and not theformεἰκόναeikonaG1504of thoseG3588thingsπραγμάτων,pragmatōnG4229itselfαὐτὴνautēnG846,canδύναταιdunataiG1410neverοὐδέποτεoudepoteG3763,by the sameαὐταῖςautaisG846sacrificesθυσίαιςthusiaisG2378whichἃςhasG3739they offerπροσφέρουσινprospherousinG4374continuallyδιηνεκὲςdiēnekesG1336everyκατ᾽kat᾽G2596yearἐνιαυτὸνeniautonG1763,makeG5048thoseG3588who approachπροσερχομένουςproserchomenousG4334perfectτελειῶσαι·teleiōsaiG5048.

2OtherwiseἐπεὶepeiG1893,would they not have ceasedἐπαύσαντοepausantoG3973to be offeredπροσφερόμεναιprospheromenaiG4374,becauseδιὰdiaG1223the worshipersλατρεύονταςlatreuontasG3000,having onceἅπαξhapaxG530been cleansedκεκαθαρισμένους.kekatharismenousG2511,would noμηδεμίανmēdemianG3367longerἔτιetiG2089haveG2192hadG2192consciousnessσυνείδησινsuneidēsinG4893of sinsἁμαρτιῶνhamartiōnG266?

3But inthoseαὐταῖςautaisG846sacrificesthere is a reminderἀνάμνησιςanamnēsisG364of sinsἁμαρτιῶνhamartiōnG266everyκατ᾽kat᾽G2596yearἐνιαυτόν·eniautonG1763.

4For it isimpossibleἀδύνατονadunatonG102for thebloodαἷμαhaimaG129of bullsταύρωνtaurōnG5022and goatsτράγωνtragōnG5131to takeἀφαιρεῖνaphaireinG851awayG851sinsἁμαρτίας.¶hamartiasG266.

5ThereforeΔιὸDioG1352,when He comesεἰσερχόμενοςeiserchomenosG1525into the worldκόσμονkosmonG2889,He saysλέγει·legeiG3004, “You have not desiredἠθέλησας,ēthelēsasG2309sacrificeθυσίανthusianG2378and offeringπροσφορὰνprosphoranG4376, ButYou have preparedκατηρτίσωkatērtisōG2675a bodyσῶμαsōmaG4983for Me;

6You have not takenG2106pleasureG2106in wholeG3646burntὁλοκαυτώματαholokautōmataG3646offeringsG3646and offeringsfor sinἁμαρτίαςhamartiasG266.

7ThenτότεtoteG5119I saidG3004, ‘BeholdἰδοὺidouG2400,I haveG2240comeἥκω,hēkōG2240(It is writtenγέγραπταιgegraptaiG1125of Me inthe scrollκεφαλίδιkephalidiG2777of the bookβιβλίουbibliouG975)To doποιῆσαι,poiēsaiG4160Your willθέλημάthelēmaG2307,O Godθεός,theosG2316.’”

8After sayingλέγωνlegōnG3004aboveἀνώτερονanōteronG511, “SacrificesθυσίαςthusiasG2378and offeringsπροσφορὰςprosphorasG4376andwholeG3646burntὁλοκαυτώματαholokautōmataG3646offeringsG3646and offeringsfor sinἁμαρτίαςhamartiasG266You have not desiredἠθέλησαςēthelēsasG2309,norοὐδὲoudeG3761have You takenG2106pleasureG2106in them” (whichαἵτινεςaitinesG3748are offeredπροσφέρονται,prospherontaiG4374accordingκατὰkataG2596to the LawνόμονnomonG3551),

9thenτότεtoteG5119HesaidG3004, “BeholdἰδοὺidouG2400,I haveG2240comeἥκωhēkōG2240to doποιῆσαιpoiēsaiG4160Your willθέλημάthelēmaG2307.”He takesG337awayG337the firstπρῶτονprōtonG4413inG2443orderG2443toG2443establishστήσῃ·stēsēG2476the secondδεύτερονdeuteronG1208.

10BythisᾧhōG3739willθελήματιthelēmatiG2307,we have beenἐσμὲνesmenG1510sanctifiedἡγιασμένοιhēgiasmenoiG37throughδιὰdiaG1223the offeringπροσφορᾶςprosphorasG4376ofthe bodyσώματοςsōmatosG4983of JesusἸησοῦIēsouG2424ChristΧριστοῦChristouG5547onceἐφάπαξ.¶ephapaxG2178forG2178allG2178time.

12but He, having offeredπροσενέγκαςprosenegkasG4374oneμίανmianG1520sacrificeθυσίανthusianG2378forsinsἁμαρτιῶνhamartiōnG266for allG1336timeG1336,satG2523downἐκάθισενekathisenG2523at the rightδεξιᾷdexiaG1188handG1188of Godθεοῦ,theouG2316,

13waitingἐκδεχόμενοςekdechomenosG1551from that timeG3062onwardG3062untilἕωςhe'ōsG2193His enemiesἐχθροὶechthroiG2190are madeτεθῶσινtethōsinG5087a footstoolὑποπόδιονhupopodionG5286for His feetποδῶνpodōnG4228.

14For by oneμιᾷmiaG1520offeringπροσφορᾷprosphoraG4376He hasperfectedτετελείωκενteteleiōkenG5048for allG1336timeδιηνεκὲςdiēnekesG1336thoseG3588who aresanctifiedἁγιαζομένους.hagiazomenousG37.

15Andthe Holyἅγιον·hagionG40SpiritπνεῦμαpneumaG4151alsoκαὶkaiG2532testifiesμαρτυρεῖmartureiG3140to us; for afterμετὰmetaG3326sayingG3004,

16“ThisαὕτηhautēG3778is the covenantδιαθήκηdiathēkēG1242whichἣνhēnG3739I will makeδιαθήσομαιdiathēsomaiG1303with themAfterμετὰmetaG3326thoseἐκείνας,ekeinasG1565daysἡμέραςhēmerasG2250,declaresλέγειlegeiG3004the Lordκύριος,kuriosG2962:I will putδιδοὺςdidousG1325My lawsνόμουςnomousG3551upon their heartsκαρδίαςkardiasG2588,And writeἐπιγράψωepigrapsōG1924them on their mindδιάνοιανdianoianG1271,” He then says,

17“And their sinsἁμαρτιῶνhamartiōnG266and their lawlessἀνομιῶνanomiōnG458deedsG458I will noοὐ μὴou mēG3756 G3361longerἔτι.etiG2089rememberμνησθήσομαιmnēsthēsomaiG3403.”

18NowδὲdeG1161whereὅπουhopouG3699there is forgivenessἄφεσιςaphesisG859of theseG3778thingsG3778,an offeringπροσφορὰprosphoraG4376for sinἁμαρτίας.¶hamartiasG266is noG3765longerG3765required.
