John 5:17-30

17But He answeredG611 them, “My FatherG3962 is workingG2038 untilG2193 nowG737, and I MyselfG1473 am workingG2038.” 18For thisG3778 reasonG1223 thereforeG3767 1the JewsG2453 2were seekingG2212 all the moreG3123 to killG615 Him, becauseG3754 He not onlyG3440 was breakingG3089 the SabbathG4521, but alsoG2532 was callingG3004 GodG2316 His ownG2398 FatherG3962, 3makingG4160 HimselfG1438 equalG2470 with GodG2316.

19ThereforeG3767 JesusG2424 answeredG611 and was sayingG3004 to them, “TrulyG281, trulyG281, I sayG3004 to you, 4the SonG5207 canG1410 doG4160 nothingG3756G3762 of HimselfG1438, unlessG302G3361 it is somethingG5100 He seesG991 the FatherG3962 doingG4160; for whateverG3739G302 5the FatherG3962 doesG4160, theseG3778 thingsG3778 the SonG5207 alsoG2532 doesG4160 in likeG3668 mannerG3668. 206For the FatherG3962 lovesG5368 the SonG5207, and showsG1166 Him allG3956 thingsG3956 that He HimselfG846 is doingG4160; and the Father will showG1166 Him 7greaterG3173 worksG2041 than theseG3778, soG2443 that you will marvelG2296. 21For justG5618 as the FatherG3962 raisesG1453 the deadG3498 and 8givesG2227 them lifeG2227, evenG2532 soG3779 9the SonG5207 alsoG2532 givesG2227 lifeG2227 to whomG3739 He wishesG2309. 22For not evenG3761 the FatherG3962 judgesG2919 anyoneG3762, but 10He has givenG1325 allG3956 judgmentG2920 to the SonG5207, 23soG2443 that allG3956 will honorG5091 the SonG5207 evenG2531 as they honorG5091 the FatherG3962. 11He who does not honorG5091 the SonG5207 does not honorG5091 the FatherG3962 who sentG3992 Him.

24“TrulyG281, trulyG281, I sayG3004 to you, he who hearsG191 My wordG3056, and 12believesG4100 Him who sentG3992 Me, hasG2192 eternalG166 lifeG2222, and 13does not comeG2064 into judgmentG2920, but has 14passedG3327 out of deathG2288 into lifeG2222. 25TrulyG281, trulyG281, I sayG3004 to you, 15an hourG5610 is comingG2064 and nowG3568 is, whenG3753 16the deadG3498 will hearG191 the voiceG5456 of the SonG5207 of GodG2316, and thoseG3588 who 17hearG191 will liveG2198. 26For justG5618 as the FatherG3962 hasG2192 lifeG2222 in HimselfG1438, evenG2532 soG3779 He 18gaveG1325 to the SonG5207 alsoG2532 to haveG2192 lifeG2222 in HimselfG1438; 27and He gaveG1325 Him authorityG1849 to 19executeG4160 judgmentG2920, becauseG3754 He is 20the SonG5207 of ManG444. 28Do not marvelG2296 at thisG3778; for 21an hourG5610 is comingG2064, in whichG3739 22allG3956 whoG3588 are in the tombsG3419 will hearG191 His voiceG5456, 29and will comeG1607 forthG1607; 23thoseG3588 who didG4160 the goodG18 deeds to a resurrectionG386 of lifeG2222, thoseG3588 who committedG4238 the evilG5337 deeds to a resurrectionG386 of judgmentG2920.

30“24I canG1410 doG4160 nothingG3756G3762 on My ownG1683 initiativeG1683. As I hearG191, I judgeG2919; and 25My judgmentG2920 is justG1342, becauseG3754 I do not seekG2212 My ownG1699 willG2307, but 26the willG2307 of Him who sentG3992 Me.
