Psalms 78:38-64
38But he was merciful: he forgave the iniquityH5771, and destroyedH7843 [them] not; but manyH7235 a time turnedH7725 he his angerH639 awayH7725, and did not stirH5782 up all his fury:39And he rememberedH2142 that they were fleshH1320, a breathH7307 that passeth awayH7725 and cometh not again.40HowH4100 oft did they provoke him in the wildernessH4057, and grieve him in the desert!41And they turnedH7725 again and tempted 1GodH410, and grieved the HolyH6918 OneH6918 of IsraelH3478.42They rememberedH2142 not his handH3027, the dayH3117 when he delivered them from the oppressor,43How he setH7760 his signsH226 in EgyptH4714, and his miracles in the fieldH7704 of ZoanH6814;44And turnedH2015 their riversH2975 into bloodH1818, and their streams, that they could not drinkH8354;45He sentH7971 dog-flies among them, which devouredH398 them, and frogsH6854, which destroyedH7843 them;46And he gaveH5414 their increase unto the caterpillar, and their labour unto the locustH697;47He killedH2026 their vinesH1612 with hailH1259, and their sycamore trees with hail-stones;48And he deliveredH5462 up their cattle to the hailH1259, and their flocks to thunderbolts.49He cast upon them the fierceness of his angerH639, wrathH5678, and indignationH2195, and distressH6869, — a mission of angelsH4397 of woes.50He made a way for his angerH639; he spared not their soulH5315 from deathH4194, but gave their lifeH5315 over to the pestilenceH1698;51And he smote all the firstbornH1060 in EgyptH4714, the first-fruits of their vigour in the tentsH168 of HamH2526.52And he made his own peopleH5971 to go forth like sheepH6629, and guided them in the wildernessH4057 like a flockH6629;53And he ledH5148 them safely, so that they were without fearH6342; and the seaH3220 coveredH3680 their enemiesH341.54And he broughtH935 them to his holyH6944 borderH1366, this mountainH2022, which his rightH3225 handH3225 purchased;55And he droveH1644 out the nationsH1471 before them, and allotted them for an inheritanceH5159 by line, and made the tribesH7626 of IsraelH3478 to dwellH7931 in their tentsH168.56But they tempted and provoked 2GodH430, the Most High, and keptH8104 not his testimonies,57And they drew backH5472 and dealtH898 treacherouslyH898 like their fathersH1: they turnedH2015 like a deceitful bowH7198.58And they provokedH3707 him to angerH3707 with their highH1116 placesH1116, and moved him to jealousy with their graven images.593GodH430 heardH8085, and was wroth, and greatly abhorred IsraelH3478:60And he forsook the tabernacleH4908 at ShilohH7887, the tentH168 where he had dweltH7931 among menH120,61And gaveH5414 his strengthH5797 into captivityH7628, and his gloryH8597 into the handH3027 of the oppressor;62And deliveredH5462 up his peopleH5971 unto the swordH2719, and was very wroth with his inheritanceH5159:63The fireH784 consumedH398 their youngH970 menH970, and their maidens were not praisedH1984 in [nuptial] song;64Their priestsH3548 fellH5307 by the swordH2719, and their widowsH490 made no lamentation.
