Leviticus 21:1-23
And Jehovah saidH559 to MosesH4872, Speak unto the priestsH3548, the sonsH1121 of AaronH175, and sayH559 unto them, There shall none makeH2930 himself uncleanH2930 for a dead personH5315 among his peoplesH5971,
except for his immediate relation, who is near unto him — for his motherH517, and for his fatherH1, and for his sonH1121, and for his daughterH1323, and for his brotherH251;
and for his sisterH269, a virginH1330, that is near unto him, who hath had no husbandH376, for her may he makeH2930 himself uncleanH2930.
He shall not makeH2930 himself uncleanH2930 [who is] a chief among his peoplesH5971, to profaneH2490 himself.
They shall not makeH7139 any baldnessH7144 upon their headH7218, neither shall they shaveH1548 off the cornersH6285 of their beardH2206, nor makeH7139 any cuttings in their fleshH1320.
They shall beH1961 holyH6944 unto their 1GodH430, and not profaneH2490 the nameH8034 of their 2GodH430; for they presentH7126 Jehovah's offeringsH801 by fireH801, the breadH3899 of their 3GodH430; therefore shall they beH1961 holyH6944.
They shall not takeH3947 as wifeH802 a whore, or a dishonoured womanH802; neither shall they takeH3947 a womanH802 put awayH3947 from her husbandH376; for he is holyH6918 unto his 4GodH430.
And thou shalt hallow him; for the breadH3899 of thy 5GodH430 doth he presentH7126: he shall beH1961 holyH6918 unto thee; for I, Jehovah, who hallow you am holyH6918.
And the daughterH1323 of any priestH3548, if she profaneH2490 herself by playingH2181 the whore, she profaneth her fatherH1: she shall be burnedH8313 with fireH784.
And the high priestH3548 among his brethren, on whose headH7218 the anointingH4888 oilH8081 was pouredH3332, and who is consecrated to putH3847 on the garmentsH899, shall not uncover his headH7218, nor rend his garmentsH899.
Neither shall he comeH935 near any personH5315 deadH4191, nor makeH2930 himself uncleanH2930 for his fatherH1 and for his motherH517;
neither shall he goH3318 out of the sanctuaryH4720, nor profaneH2490 the sanctuaryH4720 of his 6GodH430; for the consecration of the anointingH4888 oilH8081 of his 7GodH430 is upon him: I am Jehovah.
And he shall takeH3947 a wifeH802 in her virginityH1331.
A widowH490, or a divorced womanH802, or a dishonoured one, a harlot, these shall he not takeH3947; but he shall takeH3947 as wifeH802 a virginH1330 from among his peoplesH5971.
And he shall not profaneH2490 his seedH2233 among his peoplesH5971; for I am Jehovah who do hallow him.
And Jehovah spokeH1696 to MosesH4872, sayingH559,
SpeakH1696 unto AaronH175, sayingH559, Any of thy seedH2233 throughout their generationsH1755 that hath any defect, shall not approach to presentH7126 the breadH3899 of his 8GodH430;
for whatever manH376 hath a defect, he shall not approach: a blindH5787 manH376, or a lameH6455, or he that hath a flat nose, or oneH376 limb longer than the other,
or a manH376 that is broken-footed, or broken-handed,
or hump-backed, or withered, or that hath a spot in his eyeH5869, or hath the itch, or scabsH3217, or his testicles broken.
No manH376 of the seedH2233 of AaronH175 the priestH3548 that hath defect shall come near to presentH7126 Jehovah's offeringsH801 by fireH801: he hath a defect; he shall not come near to presentH7126 the breadH3899 of his 9GodH430.
The breadH3899 of his 10GodH430, of the most holyH6944 and of the holyH6944, shall he eatH398;
onlyH389 he shall not comeH935 in unto the veil, nor shall he drawH5066 near unto the altarH4196; for he hath a defect: that he profaneH2490 not my sanctuariesH4720; for I am Jehovah who do hallow them.
