Samuel 14:39-45
For, [as] Jehovah liveth, who has savedH3467 IsraelH3478, though it be in JonathanH3129 my sonH1121, he shall certainly dieH4191. And no one answeredH6030 him among all the peopleH5971.
Then saidH559 he to all IsraelH3478, BeH1961 ye on oneH259 sideH5676, and I and JonathanH3129 my sonH1121 will beH1961 on the other sideH5676. And the peopleH5971 saidH559 to SaulH7586, Do what is goodH2896 in thy sight.
And SaulH7586 saidH559 to Jehovah the 1GodH430 of IsraelH3478, GiveH3051 a perfectH8549 [testimony]! And JonathanH3129 and SaulH7586 were takenH3920, and the peopleH5971 escaped.
And SaulH7586 saidH559, CastH5307 [lots] between me and JonathanH3129 my sonH1121. And JonathanH3129 was takenH3920.
And SaulH7586 saidH559 to JonathanH3129, TellH5046 me what thou hast done. And JonathanH3129 toldH5046 him and saidH559, With the endH7097 of the staffH4294 which is in my handH3027 I tastedH2938 a littleH4592 honeyH1706, [and] behold, I must dieH4191!
And SaulH7586 saidH559, 2GodH430 do so [to me] and more also; thou shalt certainly dieH4191, JonathanH3129.
And the peopleH5971 saidH559 to SaulH7586, Shall JonathanH3129 dieH4191, who has wrought this greatH1419 salvationH3444 in IsraelH3478? FarH2486 be it! [as] Jehovah liveth, there shall not a hairH8185 of his headH7218 fallH5307 to the groundH776; for he has wrought with 3GodH430 this dayH3117. So the peopleH5971 delivered JonathanH3129, that he diedH4191 not.
