Luke 2:22-38
22And whenG3753 the daysG2250 of their purificationG2512 accordingG2596 to the lawG3551 of MosesG3475 were fulfilled, they broughtG321 him up to JerusalemG2414, to presentG3936 him to the LordG2962 23(as it is writtenG1125 in the lawG3551 of the LordG2962, Every maleG730 that openeth the wombG3388 shall be calledG2564 holyG40 to the LordG2962), 24and to offer a sacrificeG2378 accordingG2596 to that which is saidG3004 in the lawG3551 of the LordG2962, A pair of turtledoves, or twoG1417 young pigeons. 25And beholdG2400, there wasG1510 a manG444 in JerusalemG2419, whose nameG3686 wasG1510 SimeonG4826; and this manG444 wasG1510 righteousG1342 and devoutG2126, looking for the consolation of IsraelG2474: and the HolyG40 SpiritG4151 wasG1510 upon him. 26And it had beenG1510 revealed unto him by the HolyG40 SpiritG4151, that he should not seeG3708 deathG2288, before he had seenG3708 the Lord’s ChristG5547. 27And he cameG2064 in the SpiritG4151 into the temple: and when the parentsG1118 broughtG1521 in the childG3813 JesusG2424, that they might do concerningG4012 him after the custom of the lawG3551, 28then he receivedG1209 him into his arms, and blessedG2127 GodG2316, and saidG3004,
33And his fatherG3962 and his motherG3384 wereG1510 marvelling at the things which wereG1510 spokenG2980 concerningG4012 him; 34and SimeonG4826 blessedG2127 them, and saidG3004 unto MaryG3137 his motherG3384, BeholdG2400, this child is setG2749 for the falling and the rising of manyG4183 in IsraelG2474; and for a signG4592 which is spoken against; 35yea and a swordG4501 shall pierce through thine own soulG5590; that thoughtsG1261 out of manyG4183 heartsG2588 may be revealedG601. 36And there wasG1510 oneG3778 Anna, a prophetessG4398, the daughterG2364 of Phanuel, of the tribeG5443 of AsherG768 (she wasG1510 of a greatG4183 age, having lived with a husbandG435 sevenG2033 yearsG2094 from her virginity, 37and she had been a widowG5503 evenG2532 unto fourscore and fourG5064 yearsG2094), who departedG868 not from the temple, worshipping with fastings and supplications nightG3571 and dayG2250. 38And coming up at that very hourG5610 she gave thanks unto GodG2316, and spake of him to all them that were looking for the redemptionG3085 of JerusalemG2419.
