Genesis 9
1And GodH430 blessedH1288 NoahH5146 and his sonsH1121, and saidH559 unto them, Be fruitfulH6509, and multiplyH7235, and replenish the earthH776. 2And the fearH4172 of you and the dread of you shall beH1961 upon every beast of the earthH776, and upon every birdH5775 of the heavensH8064; with all wherewith the groundH776 teemeth, and all the fishes of the seaH3220, into your handH3027 are they delivered. 3Every moving thingH7431 that liveth shall beH1961 foodH402 for you; as the green herb have I givenH5414 you all. 4But fleshH1320 with the lifeH5315 thereof, which is the bloodH1818 thereof, shall ye not eatH398. 5And surelyH389 your bloodH1818, the bloodH1818 of your livesH5315, will I requireH1875; at the handH3027 of every beast will I requireH1875 it: and at the handH3027 of manH376, even at the handH3027 of every man’sH376 brotherH251, will I requireH1875 the lifeH5315 of manH376. 6Whoso sheddeth man’sH120 bloodH1818, by manH120 shall his bloodH1818 be shedH8210: for in the imageH6754 of GodH430 madeH6213 he manH120. 7And you, be ye fruitfulH6509, and multiplyH7235; bring forth abundantly in the earthH776, and multiplyH7235 therein.
8And GodH430 spake unto NoahH5146, and to his sonsH1121 with him, sayingH559, 9And I, behold, I establishH6965 my covenantH1285 with you, and with your seedH2233 after you; 10and with every living creatureH5315 that is with you, the birdsH5775, the cattleH929, and every beast of the earthH776 with you; of all that goH3318 out of the arkH8392, even every beast of the earthH776. 11And I will establishH6965 my covenantH1285 with you; neither shall all fleshH1320 beH1961 cutH3772 off any more by the watersH4325 of the floodH3999; neither shall there any more beH1961 a floodH3999 to destroyH7843 the earthH776. 12And GodH430 saidH559, This is the token of the covenantH1285 which I makeH5414 between me and you and every living creatureH5315 that is with you, for perpetual generationsH1755: 13I do setH5414 my bowH7198 in the cloudH6051, and it shall beH1961 for a token of a covenantH1285 between me and the earthH776. 14And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloudH6051 over the earthH776, that the bowH7198 shall beH1961 seenH7200 in the cloudH6051, 15and I will rememberH2142 my covenantH1285, which is between me and you and every living creatureH5315 of all fleshH1320; and the watersH4325 shall no more becomeH1961 a floodH3999 to destroyH7843 all fleshH1320. 16And the bowH7198 shall beH1961 in the cloudH6051; and I will lookH7200 upon it, that I may rememberH2142 the everlasting covenantH1285 between GodH430 and every living creatureH5315 of all fleshH1320 that is upon the earthH776. 17And GodH430 saidH559 unto NoahH5146, This is the token of the covenantH1285 which I have establishedH6965 between me and all fleshH1320 that is upon the earthH776.
18And the sonsH1121 of NoahH5146, that wentH3318 forthH3318 from the arkH8392, wereH1961 ShemH8035, and HamH2526, and JaphethH3315: and HamH2526 is the fatherH1 of CanaanH3667. 19These threeH7969 were the sonsH1121 of NoahH5146: and of these was the whole earthH776 overspread.
20And NoahH5146 beganH2490 to be a husbandman, and plantedH5193 a vineyardH3754: 21and he drankH8354 of the wineH3196, and was drunken; and he was uncoveredH1540 within his tentH168. 22And HamH2526, the fatherH1 of CanaanH3667, sawH7200 the nakednessH6172 of his fatherH1, and toldH5046 his twoH8147 brethren without. 23And ShemH8035 and JaphethH3315 tookH3947 a garmentH8071, and laid it upon both their shouldersH7926, and went backwardH322, and coveredH3680 the nakednessH6172 of their fatherH1; and their facesH6440 were backwardH322, and they sawH7200 not their father’sH1 nakednessH6172. 24And NoahH5146 awokeH3364 from his wineH3196, and knewH3045 what his youngestH6996 sonH1121 had done unto him. 25And he saidH559,
28And NoahH5146 livedH2421 after the floodH3999 threeH7969 hundredH3967 and fiftyH2572 yearsH8141. 29And all the daysH3117 of NoahH5146 wereH1961 nineH8672 hundredH3967 and fiftyH2572 yearsH8141: and he diedH4191.
