30TheapostlesἀπόστολοιapostoloiG652gatheredG4863togetherσυνάγονταιsunagontaiG4863with JesusἸησοῦνIēsounG2424;and they reportedἀπήγγειλανapēngeilanG518to Him allπάνταpantaG3956that they had doneἐποίησανepoiēsanG4160and taughtἐδίδαξαν.edidaxanG1321.

31And He saidλέγειlegeiG3004to them,“ComeδεῦτεdeuteG1205awayby yourselvesὑμεῖςhumeisG4771 G846to a secludedἔρημονerēmonG2048placeτόπονtoponG5117and restἀναπαύσασθεanapausastheG373a littleὀλίγον·oligonG3641whileG3641.” (For there were manyπολλοί,polloiG4183peoplecomingἐρχόμενοιerchomenoiG2064and goingὑπάγοντεςhupagontesG5217, andthey did not evenοὐδὲoudeG3761haveG2119timeG2119to eatG2068.)

32And they wentG565awayἀπῆλθονapēlthonG565inthe boatπλοίῳploiōG4143to a secludedἔρημονerēmonG2048placeτόπονtoponG5117by themselvesἰδίαν.idianG2398.

33The peoplesawG3708them goingὑπάγονταςhupagontasG5217,and manyπολλοὶpolloiG4183recognizedἐπέγνωσανepegnōsanG1921themand ranG4936thereἐκεῖekeiG1563togetherσυνέδραμονsunedramonG4936on footπεζῇpezēaG3979from allπασῶνpasōnG3956the citiesπόλεωνpoleōnG4172,and gotG4281thereG4281aheadG4281of them.

34When Jesus wentG1831ashoreG1831, HesawG3708a largeG4183crowdὄχλονochlonG3793,and He feltG4697compassionἐσπλαγχνίσθηesplagchnisthēG4697for them becauseὅτιhotiG3754they were likeὡςhōsG5613sheepπρόβαταprobataG4263withoutμὴ ἔχονταmē echontaG3361 G2192a shepherdποιμένα.poimenaG4166;and He beganἤρξατοērxatoG757to teachδιδάσκεινdidaskeinG1321them manyG4183thingsG4183.

35And when it was alreadyἤδηēdēG2235lateὥρας πολλῆςhōras pollēsG4183 G5610,His disciplesμαθηταὶmathētaiG3101cameπροσελθόντεςproselthontesG4334upG4334to Him and saidἔλεγονelegonG3004, “ThisG3588placeτόπος,toposG5117is secludedἔρημόςerēmosG2048and it is alreadyἤδηēdēG2235lateὥρα πολλή·hōra pollēG5610 G4183;

36sendG630them awayG630soG2443thatG2443they may goἀπελθόντεςapelthontesG565into the surroundingκύκλῳkuklōG2945countrysideἀγροὺςagrousG68and villagesκώμαςkōmasG2968and buyἀγοράσωσινagorasōsinG59themselvesἑαυτοῖςhe'autoisG1438somethingτίtiG5101to eatG2068.”

37But He answeredἀποκριθεὶςapokritheisG611them,“You giveδότεdoteG1325them somethingto eatG2068!”And they saidλέγουσινlegousinG3004to Him, “Shall we goἀπελθόντεςapelthontesG565and spendἀγοράσωμενagorasōmenG59twoδιακοσίωνdiakosiōnG1250hundredG1250denariiδηναρίωνdēnariōnG1220on breadἄρτουςartousG740,and giveδώσομενdōsomenG1325itto them to eatG2068?”

38But He saidλέγειlegeiG3004to them,“HowπόσουςposousG4214manyG4214loavesἄρτουςartousG740do you haveἔχετε;echeteG2192?GoὑπάγετεhupageteG5217lookG3708!”And when they foundG1097outG1097,they saidλέγουσιν·legousinG3004, “FiveπέντεpenteG4002,and twoδύοduoG1417fishἰχθύας.ichthuasG2486.”

39And He orderedἐπέταξενepetaxenG2004them allπάνταςpantasG3956to reclineἀνακλῖναιanaklinaiG347by groupsG4849on the greenχλωρῷchlōrōG5515grassχόρτῳ.chortōG5528.

40They reclinedἀνέπεσανanepesanG377in groupsG4237of hundredsἑκατὸνhekatonG1540and fiftiesπεντήκοντα.pentēkontaG4004.

41And He tookλαβὼνlabōnG2983the fiveπέντεpenteG4002loavesἄρτουςartousG740and the twoδύοduoG1417fishἰχθύας,ichthuasG2486,and lookingἀναβλέψαςanablepsasG308upG308towardεἰςeisG1519heavenοὐρανὸνouranonG3772, HeblessedεὐλόγησενeulogēsenG2127the foodand brokeκατέκλασενkateklasenG2622the loavesἄρτουςartousG740and He gaveἐδίδουedidouG1325themto the disciplesμαθηταῖςmathētaisG3101again and againto setπαρατιθῶσινparatithōsinG3908beforeG3908them; and He dividedἐμέρισενemerisenG3307the twoδύοduoG1417fishἰχθύαςichthuasG2486among them allπᾶσιν.pasinG3956.

42And they allπάντεςpantesG3956ateG2068and were satisfiedἐχορτάσθησαν,echortasthēsanG5526;

43and they pickedG142upG142twelveδώδεκαdōdekaG1427fullπληρώματαplērōmataG4138basketsκοφίνωνkophinōnG2894of the brokenG2801piecesG2801of bread,and of the fishἰχθύων.ichthuōnG2486.

44There werefiveπεντακισχίλιοιpentakischilioiG4000thousandG4000menἄνδρες.¶andresG435who ateG2068the loavesἄρτουςartousG740.
