14TheLordיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068of armiesצְבָא֖וֹתtze.va.'otH6635has swornנִשְׁבַּ֛עnish.Ba'H7650by Himselfבְּנַפְשׁ֑וֹbe.naf.ShoH5315: “I will certainlyכִּ֣י אִם־ki 'im-H3588 H518fillמִלֵּאתִ֤יךְmi.le.TikhH4390you with apopulationאָדָם֙'a.DamH120likelocustsכַּיֶּ֔לֶקkai.Ye.lekH3218,And they will cryH6031outH6031with shoutsהֵידָֽד׃ סhei.DadH1959ofH1959victoryH1959overעָלַ֖יִךְ'a.La.yikhH5921you.”

15It isHe who madeעֹשֵׂ֥ה'o.SehH6213the earthאֶ֙רֶץ֙'e.retzH776by His powerבְּכֹח֔וֹbe.kho.ChoH3581,Who establishedמֵכִ֥יןme.KhinH3559the worldתֵּבֵ֖לte.VelH8398by His wisdomבְּחָכְמָת֑וֹbe.cha.khe.ma.ToH2451,And by His understandingוּבִתְבוּנָת֖וֹu.vit.vu.na.ToH8394Hestretchedנָטָ֥הna.TahH5186outH5186the heavensשָׁמָֽיִם׃sha.Ma.yimH8064.

16When He uttersתִּתּ֜וֹti.ToH5414Hisvoiceלְק֨וֹלle.KolH6963, there isa roarהֲמ֥וֹןha.MonH1995of watersמַ֙יִם֙ma.yimH4325in the heavensבַּשָּׁמַ֔יִםba.sha.Ma.yimH8064, And He makes thecloudsנְשִׂאִ֖יםne.si.'ImH5387ascendוַיַּ֥עַלvai.Ya.'alH5927from the endמִקְצֵה־mik.tzeh-H7097of the earthאָ֑רֶץ'A.retzH776.He makesעָשָׂ֔ה'a.SahH6213lightningבְּרָקִ֤יםbe.ra.KimH1300for the rainלַמָּטָר֙la.ma.TarH4306And bringsH3318outH3318windר֖וּחַRu.achH7307from His storehousesמֵאֹצְרֹתָֽיו׃me.'o.tze.ro.TavH214.

17Everyכָּל־kol-H3605personאָדָם֙'a.DamH120isH1197stupidנִבְעַ֤רniv.'ArH1197,devoidH4480of knowledgeמִדַּ֔עַתmi.Da.'atH1847;Everyכָּל־kol-H3605goldsmithצֹרֵ֖ףtzo.RefH6884is putהֹבִ֥ישׁho.VishH954toH954shameH954by hisidolsמִפָּ֑סֶלmi.Pa.selH6459,For his castH5262metalH5262imagesנִסְכּ֖וֹnis.KoH5262aredeceitfulשֶׁ֥קֶרShe.kerH8267,And there is noוְלֹא־ve.lo'-H3808breathר֥וּחַRu.achH7307in them.

18They areworthlessהֶ֣בֶלHe.velH1892,a workמַעֲשֵׂ֖הma.'a.SehH4639of mockeryתַּעְתֻּעִ֑יםta'.tu.'ImH8595;At the timeבְּעֵ֥תbe.'EtH6256of their punishmentפְּקֻדָּתָ֖םpe.ku.da.TamH6486they will perishיֹאבֵֽדוּ׃yo.Ve.duH6.

19Theportionחֵ֣לֶקChe.lekH2506of Jacobיַעֲק֗וֹבya.'a.KovH3290is not like theseכְאֵ֜לֶּהkhe.'E.lehH428; For He is theMakerיוֹצֵ֤רyo.TzerH3335of everythingהַכֹּל֙ha.KolH3605, And of thetribeוְשֵׁ֖בֶטve.She.vetH7626of His inheritanceנַחֲלָת֑וֹna.cha.la.ToH5159; TheLordיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068of armiesצְבָא֖וֹתtze.va.'otH6635is His nameשְׁמֽוֹ׃ סshe.MoH8034.

20He says, “You are Mywar-clubמַפֵּץ־ma.petz-H4661, Myweaponכְּלֵ֖יke.LeiH3627of warמִלְחָמָ֑הmil.cha.MahH4421; And with you Ishatterוְנִפַּצְתִּ֤יve.ni.patz.TiH5310nationsגּוֹיִ֔םgo.YimH1471,And with you I destroyוְהִשְׁחַתִּ֥יve.hish.cha.TiH7843kingdomsמַמְלָכֽוֹת׃mam.la.KhotH4467.

21With you Ishatterוְנִפַּצְתִּ֣יve.ni.patz.TiH5310the horseס֖וּסsusH5483and his riderוְרֹֽכְב֑וֹve.ro.khe.VoH7392,And with you I shatterוְנִפַּצְתִּ֣יve.ni.patz.TiH5310thechariotרֶ֖כֶבRe.khevH7393and its riderוְרֹכְבֽוֹ׃ve.ro.khe.VoH7392,

22And with you I shatterוְנִפַּצְתִּ֤יve.ni.patz.TiH5310manאִ֣ישׁ'ishH376and womanוְאִשָּׁ֔הve.'i.ShahH802,And with you I shatterוְנִפַּצְתִּ֥יve.ni.patz.TiH5310the oldזָקֵ֣ןza.KenH2205manH376andyouthוָנָ֑עַרva.Na.'arH5288,And with you I shatterוְנִפַּצְתִּ֣יve.ni.patz.TiH5310the youngבָּח֖וּרba.ChurH970manH970and virginוּבְתוּלָֽה׃u.ve.tu.LahH1330,

23And with you I shatterוְנִפַּצְתִּ֤יve.ni.patz.TiH5310the shepherdרֹעֶ֣הro.'EhH7462and his flockוְעֶדְר֔וֹve.'ed.RoH5739,And with you I shatterוְנִפַּצְתִּ֥יve.ni.patz.TiH5310the farmerאִכָּ֣ר'i.KarH406and his teamוְצִמְדּ֑וֹve.tzim.DoH6776,And with you I shatterוְנִפַּצְתִּ֣יve.ni.patz.TiH5310governorsפַּח֖וֹתpa.ChotH6346and officialsוּסְגָנִֽים׃u.se.ga.NimH5461.

24“But I will repayוְשִׁלַּמְתִּ֨יve.shi.lam.TiH7999Babylonלְבָבֶ֜לle.va.VelH894and allוּלְכֹ֣ל׀u.le.KholH3605the inhabitantsיוֹשְׁבֵ֣יyo.she.VeiH3427ofChaldeaכַשְׂדִּ֗יםkhas.DimH3778forallכָּל־kol-H3605their evilH7463that they have doneעָשׂ֥וּ'a.SuH6213in Zionבְצִיּ֖וֹןve.tzi.YonH6726before your eyesלְעֵֽינֵיכֶ֑םle.'ei.nei.KhemH5869,”declaresנְאֻ֖םne.'UmH5002the Lordיְהוָֽה׃ סYah.wehH3068.

25“BeholdH2009,I am againstאֵלֶ֜יךָ'e.Lei.khaH413you, mountainהַ֤רharH2022ofdestructionהַמַּשְׁחִית֙ha.mash.ChitH4889That destroysהַמַּשְׁחִ֖יתha.mash.ChitH7843the wholeכָּל־kol-H3605earthהָאָ֑רֶץha.'A.retzH776,”declaresנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068, “And I will stretchוְנָטִ֨יתִיve.na.Ti.tiH5186outH5186My handיָדִ֜יya.DiH3027againstעָלֶ֗יךָ'a.Lei.khaH5921you,And rollוְגִלְגַּלְתִּ֙יךָ֙ve.gil.gal.Ti.khaH1556you downH1556from the rockyH5553cliffsH5553,And I will makeוּנְתַתִּ֖יךָu.ne.ta.Ti.khaH5414you aburntשְׂרֵפָֽה׃se.re.FahH8316out mountainלְהַ֥רle.HarH2022.

26They will not takeיִקְח֤וּyik.ChuH3947from you evena stoneאֶ֣בֶן'E.venH68for a cornerלְפִנָּ֔הle.fi.NahH6438Norוְלֹֽא־ve.lo'-H3808a stoneוְאֶ֖בֶןve.'E.venH68for foundationsH4144, But you will bedesolateשִׁמְמ֥וֹתshi.MotH8077foreverעוֹלָ֛םo.LamH5769,”declaresנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.
