14The Lordיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068of hostsצְבָא֖וֹתtze.va.'otH6635hath swornנִשְׁבַּ֛עnish.Ba'H7650by himselfבְּנַפְשׁ֑וֹbe.naf.ShoH5315, saying,Surely I will fillמִלֵּאתִ֤יךְmi.le.TikhH4390thee with menאָדָם֙'a.DamH120,as with caterpillersכַּיֶּ֔לֶקkai.Ye.lekH3218;and they shall lift upוְעָנ֥וּve.'a.NuH6030a shoutהֵידָֽד׃ סhei.DadH1959against thee.

15He hath madeעֹשֵׂ֥ה'o.SehH6213the earthאֶ֙רֶץ֙'e.retzH776by his powerבְּכֹח֔וֹbe.kho.ChoH3581,he hath establishedמֵכִ֥יןme.KhinH3559the worldתֵּבֵ֖לte.VelH8398by his wisdomבְּחָכְמָת֑וֹbe.cha.khe.ma.ToH2451,and hath stretched outנָטָ֥הna.TahH5186the heavenשָׁמָֽיִם׃sha.Ma.yimH8064by his understandingוּבִתְבוּנָת֖וֹu.vit.vu.na.ToH8394.

16When he utterethתִּתּ֜וֹti.ToH5414hisvoiceלְק֨וֹלle.KolH6963, there isa multitudeהֲמ֥וֹןha.MonH1995of watersמַ֙יִם֙ma.yimH4325in the heavensבַּשָּׁמַ֔יִםba.sha.Ma.yimH8064;and he causeth the vapoursנְשִׂאִ֖יםne.si.'ImH5387to ascendוַיַּ֥עַלvai.Ya.'alH5927from the endsמִקְצֵה־mik.tzeh-H7097of the earthאָ֑רֶץ'A.retzH776:he makethעָשָׂ֔ה'a.SahH6213lightningsבְּרָקִ֤יםbe.ra.KimH1300with rainלַמָּטָר֙la.ma.TarH4306,and bringeth forthוַיֹּ֥צֵאvai.Yo.tze'H3318the windר֖וּחַRu.achH7307out of his treasuresמֵאֹצְרֹתָֽיו׃me.'o.tze.ro.TavH214.

17Every manאָדָם֙'a.DamH120is brutishנִבְעַ֤רniv.'ArH1197by hisknowledgeמִדַּ֔עַתmi.Da.'atH1847;every founderצֹרֵ֖ףtzo.RefH6884is confoundedH3001by the graven imageמִפָּ֑סֶלmi.Pa.selH6459:for his molten imageנִסְכּ֖וֹnis.KoH5262isfalsehoodשֶׁ֥קֶרShe.kerH8267, and there isno breathר֥וּחַRu.achH7307in them.

18They arevanityהֶ֣בֶלHe.velH1892,the workמַעֲשֵׂ֖הma.'a.SehH4639of errorsתַּעְתֻּעִ֑יםta'.tu.'ImH8595:in the timeבְּעֵ֥תbe.'EtH6256of their visitationפְּקֻדָּתָ֖םpe.ku.da.TamH6486they shall perishיֹאבֵֽדוּ׃yo.Ve.duH6.

19The portionחֵ֣לֶקChe.lekH2506of Jacobיַעֲק֗וֹבya.'a.KovH3290is not like them; for he isthe formerיוֹצֵ֤רyo.TzerH3335of all things: and Israel isthe rodוְשֵׁ֖בֶטve.She.vetH7626of his inheritanceנַחֲלָת֑וֹna.cha.la.ToH5159:the Lordיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068of hostsצְבָא֖וֹתtze.va.'otH6635ishis nameשְׁמֽוֹ׃ סshe.MoH8034.

20Thou artmy battle axeמַפֵּץ־ma.petz-H4661andweaponsכְּלֵ֖יke.LeiH3627of warמִלְחָמָ֑הmil.cha.MahH4421:for with thee will I break in piecesוְנִפַּצְתִּ֤יve.ni.patz.TiH5310the nationsגּוֹיִ֔םgo.YimH1471,and with thee will I destroyוְהִשְׁחַתִּ֥יve.hish.cha.TiH7843kingdomsמַמְלָכֽוֹת׃mam.la.KhotH4467;

21And with thee will I break in piecesוְנִפַּצְתִּ֣יve.ni.patz.TiH5310the horseס֖וּסsusH5483and his riderוְרֹֽכְב֑וֹve.ro.khe.VoH7392;and with thee will I break in piecesוְנִפַּצְתִּ֣יve.ni.patz.TiH5310the chariotרֶ֖כֶבRe.khevH7393and his riderוְרֹכְבֽוֹ׃ve.ro.khe.VoH7392;

22With thee also will I break in piecesוְנִפַּצְתִּ֤יve.ni.patz.TiH5310manאִ֣ישׁ'ishH376and womanוְאִשָּׁ֔הve.'i.ShahH802;and with thee will I break in piecesוְנִפַּצְתִּ֥יve.ni.patz.TiH5310oldזָקֵ֣ןza.KenH2205and youngוָנָ֑עַרva.Na.'arH5288;and with thee will I break in piecesוְנִפַּצְתִּ֣יve.ni.patz.TiH5310the young manבָּח֖וּרba.ChurH970and the maidוּבְתוּלָֽה׃u.ve.tu.LahH1330;

23I will also break in piecesוְנִפַּצְתִּ֤יve.ni.patz.TiH5310with thee the shepherdרֹעֶ֣הro.'EhH7462and his flockוְעֶדְר֔וֹve.'ed.RoH5739;and with thee will I break in piecesוְנִפַּצְתִּ֥יve.ni.patz.TiH5310the husbandmanאִכָּ֣ר'i.KarH406and his yoke of oxenוְצִמְדּ֑וֹve.tzim.DoH6776;and with thee will I break in piecesוְנִפַּצְתִּ֣יve.ni.patz.TiH5310captainsפַּח֖וֹתpa.ChotH6346and rulersוּסְגָנִֽים׃u.se.ga.NimH5461.

24And I will renderוְשִׁלַּמְתִּ֨יve.shi.lam.TiH7999unto Babylonלְבָבֶ֜לle.va.VelH894and to all the inhabitantsיוֹשְׁבֵ֣יyo.she.VeiH3427of Chaldeaכַשְׂדִּ֗יםkhas.DimH3778all their evilרָעָתָ֛םra.'a.TamH7451that they have doneעָשׂ֥וּ'a.SuH6213in Zionבְצִיּ֖וֹןve.tzi.YonH6726in your sightלְעֵֽינֵיכֶ֑םle.'ei.nei.KhemH5869,saithנְאֻ֖םne.'UmH5002the Lordיְהוָֽה׃ סYah.wehH3068.

25Behold, I amagainst thee, O destroyingהַמַּשְׁחִית֙ha.mash.ChitH4889mountainהַ֤רharH2022,saithנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068,which destroyestהַמַּשְׁחִ֖יתha.mash.ChitH7843all the earthהָאָ֑רֶץha.'A.retzH776:and I will stretch outוְנָטִ֨יתִיve.na.Ti.tiH5186mine handיָדִ֜יya.DiH3027upon thee, and roll thee downוְגִלְגַּלְתִּ֙יךָ֙ve.gil.gal.Ti.khaH1556from the rocksהַסְּלָעִ֔יםha.se.la.'ImH5553,and will makeוּנְתַתִּ֖יךָu.ne.ta.Ti.khaH5414thee a burntשְׂרֵפָֽה׃se.re.FahH8316mountainלְהַ֥רle.HarH2022.

26And they shall not takeיִקְח֤וּyik.ChuH3947of thee a stoneאֶ֣בֶן'E.venH68for a cornerלְפִנָּ֔הle.fi.NahH6438,nor a stoneוְאֶ֖בֶןve.'E.venH68for foundationsלְמֽוֹסָד֑וֹתle.mo.sa.DotH4146;but thou shalt be desolateשִׁמְמ֥וֹתshi.MotH8077for everעוֹלָ֛םo.LamH5769,saithנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

27Set ye upשְׂאוּ־se.'u-H5375a standardנֵ֣סnesH5251in the landבָּאָ֗רֶץba.'A.retzH776,blowתִּקְע֨וּtik.'UH8628the trumpetשׁוֹפָ֤רsho.FarH7782among the nationsבַּגּוֹיִם֙ba.go.YimH1471,prepareקַדְּשׁ֤וּka.de.ShuH6942the nationsגּוֹיִ֔םgo.YimH1471against her, call togetherהַשְׁמִ֧יעוּhash.Mi.'uH8085against her the kingdomsמַמְלְכ֥וֹתmam.le.KhotH4467of Araratאֲרָרַ֖ט'a.ra.RatH780,Minniמִנִּ֣יmi.NiH4508,and Ashchenazוְאַשְׁכְּנָ֑זve.'ash.ke.NazH813;appointפִּקְד֤וּpik.DuH6485a captainטִפְסָ֔רtif.SarH2951against her; cause the horsesס֖וּסsusH5483to come upהַֽעֲלוּ־ha.'a.lu-H5927as the roughסָמָֽר׃sa.MarH5569caterpillersכְּיֶ֥לֶקke.Ye.lekH3218.
