4‘Prepareקַדְּשׁ֤וּka.de.ShuH6942for warמִלְחָמָ֔הmil.cha.MahH4421againstעָלֶ֙יהָ֙'a.Lei.haH5921her;Ariseק֖וּמוּKu.muH6965, and let’sattackוְנַעֲלֶ֣הve.na.'a.LehH5927atnoonבַֽצָּהֳרָ֑יִםva.tzo.ho.Ra.yimH6672.Woeא֥וֹי'oH188to us, for the dayהַיּ֔וֹםhai.YomH3117declinesפָנָ֣הfa.NahH6437,For the shadowsH6738of the eveningעָֽרֶב׃'A.revH6153lengthenיִנָּט֖וּyi.na.TuH5186!
6For thisH3541isH3541whatH3541the Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068of armiesצְבָא֔וֹתtze.va.'otH6635saysאָמַר֙'a.MarH559: “Cutכִּרְת֣וּkir.TuH3772downH3772her treesעֵצָ֔ה'e.TzahH6097And pileH8210upH8210anassaultH5550rampH5550againstעַל־'al-H5921Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִַ֖םye.ru.sha.LimH3389.Thisהִ֚יאhi'H1931is the cityהָעִ֣ירha.'IrH5892to be punishedהָפְקַ֔דha.fe.KadH6485,In whose midstבְּקִרְבָּֽהּ׃be.kir.BahH7130there is onlyכֻּלָּ֖הּku.LahH3605oppressionעֹ֥שֶׁק'O.shekH6233.
7As a wellH953keepsH7174its watersמֵימֶ֔יהָmei.Mei.haH4325freshH7174,Soכֵּ֖ןkenH3651shekeepsH7174freshH7174her wickednessH7463.Violenceחָמָ֣סcha.MasH2555and destructionוָ֠שֹׁדVa.shodH7701are heardיִשָּׁ֨מַעyi.Sha.ma'H8085in her;Sicknessחֳלִ֥יcho.LiH2483and woundsוּמַכָּֽה׃u.ma.KahH4347are constantlyתָּמִ֖ידta.MidH8548beforeעַל־ פָּנַ֛י'al- pa.NaiH5921H6440Me.
9ThisH3541isH3541whatH3541the Lordיְהֹוָ֣הYah.wehH3068of armiesצְבָא֔וֹתtze.va.'otH6635saysאָמַר֙'a.MarH559: “They willthoroughlyעוֹלֵ֛לo.LelH5953gleanיְעוֹלְל֥וּye.'o.LuH5953theremnantשְׁאֵרִ֣יתshe.'e.RitH7611of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478like the vineכַגֶּ֖פֶןkha.Ge.fenH1612;PassH7725your handיָדְךָ֔ya.de.KhaH3027overעַל־'al-H5921the branchesסַלְסִלּֽוֹת׃sal.si.LotH5552againH7725Like a grapeכְּבוֹצֵ֖רke.vo.TzerH1219gathererH1219.”
10To whomמִ֨יmiH4310shall I speakאֲדַבְּרָ֤ה'a.da.be.RahH1696and giveH5749warningוְאָעִ֙ידָה֙ve.'a.'I.dahH5749,That they may hearוְיִשְׁמָ֔עוּve.yish.Ma.'uH8085?Beholdהִנֵּה֙hi.NehH2009, theirearsאָזְנָ֔ם'a.ze.NamH241areclosedעֲרֵלָ֣ה'a.re.LahH6189And they cannotוְלֹ֥א יוּכְל֖וּve.Lo' yu.khe.LuH3201H3808listenלְהַקְשִׁ֑יבle.hak.ShivH7181.Beholdהִנֵּ֣הhi.NehH2009,the wordדְבַר־de.var-H1697of the Lordיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068has becomeהָיָ֥הha.YahH1961for them a rebukeלְחֶרְפָּ֖הle.cher.PahH2781;They takeH2654noלֹ֥אlo'H3808delightיַחְפְּצוּ־yach.pe.tzu-H2654in it.
11But I amfullמָלֵ֙אתִי֙ma.Le.tiH4390of the wrathחֲמַ֨תcha.MatH2534of the Lordיְהוָ֤ה׀Yah.wehH3068;I amH3811wearyנִלְאֵ֣יתִיnil.'Ei.tiH3811of holdingהָכִ֔ילha.KhilH3557it in. “Pourשְׁפֹ֤ךְshe.FokhH8210itoutH8210on the childrenעוֹלָל֙o.LalH5768in the streetבַּח֔וּץba.ChutzH2351And on thegatheringס֥וֹדSodH5475of youngבַּחוּרִ֖יםba.chu.RimH970menH970togetherH3164;For bothגַם־gam-H1571husbandאִ֤ישׁ'ishH376and wifeאִשָּׁה֙'i.ShahH802shall be takenיִלָּכֵ֔דוּyi.la.Khe.duH3920,The oldזָקֵ֖ןza.KenH2205and the veryH4392H3117oldH4392H3117.
12Theirhousesבָֽתֵּיהֶם֙va.tei.HemH1004shall be turnedוְנָסַ֤בּוּve.na.Sa.buH5437overH5437to othersלַאֲחֵרִ֔יםla.'a.che.RimH312,Their fieldsשָׂד֥וֹתsa.DotH7704and their wivesוְנָשִׁ֖יםve.na.ShimH802togetherH3164; For I willstretchאַטֶּ֧ה'a.TehH5186outH5186My handיָדִ֛יya.DiH3027Againstעַל־'al-H5921the inhabitantsיֹשְׁבֵ֥יyo.she.VeiH3427of the landהָאָ֖רֶץha.'A.retzH776,”declaresנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.
13“Forfrom the leastמִקְּטַנָּם֙mi.ke.ta.NamH6996of them to the greatestגְּדוֹלָ֔םge.do.LamH1419of them,Everyoneכֻּלּ֖וֹku.LoH3605isgreedyבּוֹצֵ֣עַbo.Tze.a'H1214for gainבָּ֑צַעBa.tza'H1215,And from the prophetוּמִנָּבִיא֙u.mi.na.Vi'H5030to the priestכֹּהֵ֔ןko.HenH3548Everyoneכֻּלּ֖וֹku.LoH3605dealsעֹ֥שֶׂה'O.sehH6213falselyשָּֽׁקֶר׃Sha.kerH8267.
15WereH954theyashamedH954becauseכִּ֥יkiH3588of the abominationתוֹעֵבָ֖הto.'e.VahH8441they had doneעָשׂ֑וּ'a.SuH6213?They wereH954not ashamedH954atH1571allH954H1571,NorH1571did they knowיָדָ֔עוּya.Da.'uH3045evenH1571how to be ashamedהַכְלִים֙hakh.LimH3637.Thereforeלָכֵ֞ןla.KhenH3651they will fallיִפְּל֧וּyi.pe.LuH5307among those who fallבַנֹּפְלִ֛יםva.no.fe.LimH5307;At the timeבְּעֵת־be.'et-H6256that I punishפְּקַדְתִּ֥יםpe.kad.TimH6485them,They will collapseיִכָּשְׁל֖וּyi.ka.she.LuH3782,”saysאָמַ֥ר'a.MarH559the Lordיְהוָֽה׃ סYah.wehH3068.
16ThisH3541isH3541whatH3541the Lordיְהוָ֡הYah.wehH3068saysאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559: “Standעִמְדוּ֩'im.DuH5975by the waysדְּרָכִ֨יםde.ra.KhimH1870and seeוּרְא֜וּu.re.'UH7200and askוְשַׁאֲל֣וּ׀ve.sha.'a.LuH7592for theancientעוֹלָ֗םo.LamH5769pathsלִנְתִב֣וֹתlin.ti.VotH5410,Whereאֵי־'ei-H335the goodהַטּוֹב֙ha.tOvH2896wayדֶ֤רֶךְDe.rekhH1870is, and walkוּלְכוּ־u.le.khu-H1980in it; Thenyou will findוּמִצְא֥וּu.mitz.'UH4672a restingH4771placeH4771for your soulsלְנַפְשְׁכֶ֑םle.naf.she.KhemH5315.But they saidוַיֹּאמְר֖וּvai.yo.me.RuH559, ‘We will not walkנֵלֵֽךְ׃ne.LekhH1980in it.’
19Hearשִׁמְעִ֣יshim.'IH8085,earthהָאָ֔רֶץha.'A.retzH776:beholdהִנֵּ֨הhi.NehH2009,I am bringingמֵבִ֥יאme.Vi'H935disasterH7463on thisהַזֶּ֖הha.ZehH2088peopleהָעָ֥םha.'AmH5971, Thefruitפְּרִ֣יpe.RiH6529of theirplansמַחְשְׁבוֹתָ֑םmach.she.vo.TamH4284,Becauseכִּ֤י עַל־ki 'al-H3588H5921they have not listenedהִקְשִׁ֔יבוּhik.Shi.vuH7181to My wordsדְּבָרַי֙de.va.RaiH1697,And as for My Lawוְתוֹרָתִ֖יve.to.ra.TiH8451, they haverejectedוַיִּמְאֲסוּ־vai.yim.'a.su-H3988it also.
20For whatלָמָּה־la.mah-H4100purposeזֶּ֨הzehH2088doesfrankincenseלְבוֹנָה֙le.vo.NahH3828comeתָב֔וֹאta.Vo'H935to Me from Shebaמִשְּׁבָ֣אmi.she.Va'H7614, And thesweetהַטּ֖וֹבha.TovH2896caneוְקָנֶ֥הve.ka.NehH7070from a distantמֶרְחָ֑קmer.ChakH4801landמֵאֶ֣רֶץme.'E.retzH776?Your burntעֹלֽוֹתֵיכֶם֙o.lo.tei.KhemH5930offeringsH5930are not acceptableלְרָצ֔וֹןle.ra.TzonH7522And your sacrificesוְזִבְחֵיכֶ֖םve.ziv.chei.KhemH2077are not pleasingעָ֥רְבוּ'A.re.vuH6149to Me.”
21Thereforeלָכֵ֗ןla.KhenH3651,thisH3541isH3541whatH3541the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068saysאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559: “BeholdH2009, I amplacingנֹתֵ֛ןno.TenH5414stumblingH4383blocksH4383beforeאֶל־'el-H413thisהַזֶּ֖הha.ZehH2088peopleהָעָ֥םha.'AmH5971.And they will stumbleוְכָ֣שְׁלוּve.Kha.she.luH3782against them,Fathersאָב֨וֹת'a.VotH1and sonsוּבָנִ֥יםu.va.NimH1121togetherH3164;Neighborשָׁכֵ֥ןsha.KhenH7934andfriendוְרֵע֖וֹve.re.'OH7453will perishוְאָבָֽדוּ׃ פve.'a.Ba.duH6.”

22ThisH3541isH3541whatH3541the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068saysאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559: “Beholdהִנֵּ֛הhi.NehH2009, there isa peopleעַ֥ם'amH5971comingבָּ֖אba'H935from the northצָפ֑וֹןtza.FonH6828landמֵאֶ֣רֶץme.'E.retzH776,And a greatגָּד֔וֹלga.DolH1419nationוְג֣וֹיve.GoyH1471will be stirredH5782upH5782from theremoteH3411partsמִיַּרְכְּתֵי־mi.yar.ke.tei-H3411of the earthאָֽרֶץ׃'A.retzH776.
23They seizeיַחֲזִ֗יקוּya.cha.Zi.kuH2388bowקֶ֣שֶׁתKe.shetH7198and spearוְכִיד֞וֹןve.khi.DonH3591; They arecruelאַכְזָרִ֥י'akh.za.RiH394and haveH7355noוְלֹ֣אve.Lo'H3808mercyיְרַחֵ֔מוּye.ra.Che.muH7355;Their voiceקוֹלָם֙ko.LamH6963roarsיֶהֱמֶ֔הye.he.MehH1993like the seaכַּיָּ֣םkai.YamH3220,And they rideיִרְכָּ֑בוּyir.Ka.vuH7392on horsesסוּסִ֖יםsu.SimH5483,LinedH6186upH6186as a manכְּאִישׁ֙ke.'IshH376for the battleלַמִּלְחָמָ֔הla.mil.cha.MahH4421AgainstH5921you, daughterבַּת־bat-H1323of Zionצִיּֽוֹן׃tzi.YonH6726!”
24We haveheardשָׁמַ֥עְנוּsha.Ma'.nuH8085the reportשָׁמְע֖וֹsha.me.'OH8089of it;Our handsיָדֵ֑ינוּya.Dei.nuH3027areH7503limpרָפ֣וּra.FuH7503.Anguishצָרָה֙tza.RahH6869has seizedהֶחֱזִיקַ֔תְנוּhe.che.zi.Kat.nuH2388us,Painחִ֖ילchilH2427like that ofa woman inכַּיּוֹלֵדָֽה׃kai.yo.le.DahH3205childbirthH3205.
