1Woeה֗וֹיHoH1945to the proudגֵּאוּת֙ge.'UtH1348crownעֲטֶ֤רֶת'a.Te.retH5850of thehabituallyH7910drunkH7910ofEphraimאֶפְרַ֔יִם'ef.Ra.yimH669,And to the fadingנֹבֵ֖לno.VelH5034flowerוְצִ֥יץve.TzitzH6731of its gloriousH6643beautyצְבִ֣יtze.ViH6643,Whichאֲשֶׁ֛ר'a.SherH834is at the headרֹ֥אשׁroshH7218of thefertileשְׁמָנִ֖יםshe.ma.NimH8081valleyגֵּֽיא־gei'-H1516Of those who areovercomeהֲל֥וּמֵיha.Lu.meiH1986with wineיָֽיִן׃Ya.yinH3196!

2Beholdהִנֵּ֨הhi.NehH2009,the Lordלַֽאדֹנָ֔יla.do.NaiH136has a strongחָזָ֤קcha.ZakH2389andmightyוְאַמִּץ֙ve.'a.MitzH533agent;As a stormכְּזֶ֥רֶםke.Ze.remH2230ofhailבָּרָ֖דba.RadH1259,a tempestשַׂ֣עַרSa.'arH8178of destructionקָ֑טֶבKa.tevH6986,Like a stormכְּ֠זֶרֶםKe.ze.remH2230ofmightyכַּבִּירִ֥יםka.bi.RimH3524overflowingשֹׁטְפִ֛יםsho.te.FimH7857watersמַ֣יִםMa.yimH4325,He has thrownH5117itdownהִנִּ֥יחַhi.Ni.achH5117to the earthלָאָ֖רֶץla.'A.retzH776with Hishandבְּיָֽד׃be.YadH3027.

3The splendidגֵּא֖וּתge.'UtH1348crownעֲטֶ֥רֶת'a.Te.retH5850of the habituallyH7910drunkH7910of Ephraimאֶפְרָֽיִם׃'ef.Ra.yimH669istrampledתֵּֽרָמַ֑סְנָהte.ra.Mas.nahH7429underfootבְּרַגְלַ֖יִםbe.rag.La.yimH7272.

4And the fadingנֹבֵל֙no.VelH5034flowerH6731of its gloriousH6643beautyצְבִ֣יtze.ViH6643,Whichאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834is at the headרֹ֖אשׁroshH7218of thefertileשְׁמָנִ֑יםshe.ma.NimH8081valleyגֵּ֣יאgei'H1516, Will be like thefirst-ripeH1063figכְּבִכּוּרָהּ֙ke.vi.ku.RahH1063priorבְּטֶ֣רֶםbe.Te.remH2962to the summerקַ֔יִץKa.yitzH7019,Whichאֲשֶׁ֨ר'a.SherH834one seesH7200, Andas soonבְּעוֹדָ֥הּbe.'o.DahH5750as it is in hishandבְּכַפּ֖וֹbe.kha.PoH3709,He swallowsיִבְלָעֶֽנָּה׃ סyiv.la.'E.nahH1104it.

5On that dayבַּיּ֣וֹםbai.YomH3117theLordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068of armiesצְבָא֔וֹתtze.va.'otH6635will becomeיִֽהְיֶה֙yih.YehH1961a beautifulצְבִ֔יtze.ViH6643crownלַעֲטֶ֣רֶתla.'a.Te.retH5850And a gloriousתִּפְאָרָ֑הtif.'a.RahH8597wreathוְלִצְפִירַ֖תve.litz.fi.RatH6843to the remnantלִשְׁאָ֖רlish.'ArH7605of His peopleעַמּֽוֹ׃a.MoH5971;

6Aspiritוּלְר֖וּחַu.le.Ru.achH7307of justiceמִשְׁפָּ֑טmish.PatH4941for him who sitsלַיּוֹשֵׁב֙lai.yo.ShevH3427in judgmentהַמִּשְׁפָּ֔טha.mish.PatH4941, Astrengthוְלִ֨גְבוּרָ֔הve.Lig.vu.RahH1369to those who repelמְשִׁיבֵ֥יme.shi.VeiH7725theonslaughtמִלְחָמָ֖הmil.cha.MahH4421at the gateשָֽׁעְרָה׃ סSha.'e.rahH8179.

7And theseאֵ֙לֶּה֙'e.lehH428alsoוְגַם־ve.gam-H1571reelשָׁג֔וּsha.GuH7686with wineבַּיַּ֣יִןbai.Ya.yinH3196and staggerתָּע֑וּta.'UH8582from intoxicatingH7941drinkוּבַשֵּׁכָ֖רu.va.she.KharH7941:The priestכֹּהֵ֣ןko.HenH3548andthe prophetוְנָבִיא֩ve.na.Vi'H5030reelשָׁג֨וּsha.GuH7686with intoxicatingH7941drinkבַשֵּׁכָ֜רva.she.KharH7941,They are confusedנִבְלְע֣וּniv.le.'UH1104by wineהַיַּ֗יִןhai.Ya.yinH3196,they staggerתָּעוּ֙ta.'UH8582fromintoxicatingH7941drinkהַשֵּׁכָ֔רha.she.KharH7941;They reelשָׁגוּ֙sha.GuH7686while havingvisionsבָּֽרֹאֶ֔הba.ro.'EhH7203,They staggerפָּק֖וּpa.KuH6328when renderinga verdictפְּלִילִיָּֽה׃pe.li.li.YahH6417.

8For allכָּל־kol-H3605the tablesשֻׁלְחָנ֔וֹתshul.cha.NotH7979are fullמָלְא֖וּmal.'UH4390of filthyצֹאָ֑הtzo.'AhH6675vomitH7006,withoutבְּלִ֖יbe.LiH1097a single cleanplaceמָקֽוֹם׃ סma.KomH4725.

9“Towhomמִי֙miH4310would He teachיוֹרֶ֣הyo.RehH3384knowledgeדֵעָ֔הde.'AhH1844,And to whomמִ֖יmiH4310would He interpretיָבִ֣יןya.VinH995the messageשְׁמוּעָ֑הshe.mu.'AhH8052? Those justweanedגְּמוּלֵי֙ge.mu.LeiH1580from milkמֵֽחָלָ֔בme.cha.LavH2461? Those justtakenעַתִּיקֵ֖י'a.ti.KeiH6267from the breastמִשָּׁדָֽיִם׃mi.sha.Da.yimH7699?

10For He says, ‘Orderצַ֤וtzavH6673on orderלָצָו֙la.TzavH6673,orderצַ֣וtzavH6673on orderלָצָ֔וla.TzavH6673,Lineקַ֥וkavH6957on lineלָקָ֖וla.KavH6957,lineקַ֣וkavH6957on lineלָקָ֑וla.KavH6957,A littleזְעֵ֥ירze.'EirH2191hereשָׁ֖םshamH8033,a littleזְעֵ֥ירze.'EirH2191thereשָֽׁם׃ShamH8033.’”

11Indeedכִּ֚יkiH3588,He will speakיְדַבֵּ֖רye.da.BerH1696to thisהַזֶּֽה׃ha.ZehH2088peopleהָעָ֥םha.'AmH5971Throughstammeringבְּלַעֲגֵ֣יbe.la.'a.GeiH3934lipsשָׂפָ֔הsa.FahH8193and a foreignאַחֶ֑רֶת'a.Che.retH312tongueוּבְלָשׁ֖וֹןu.ve.la.ShonH3956,

12He whoאֲשֶׁ֣ר׀'a.SherH834saidאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559to them, “ThisH2088is theplaceהַמְּנוּחָה֙ha.me.nu.ChahH4496ofH4496quietH4496,giveהָנִ֣יחוּha.Ni.chuH5117restH5117to the wearyלֶֽעָיֵ֔ףle.'a.YefH5889,”And, “ThisH2088is the restingH4774placeH4774,”but they wouldאָב֖וּא'a.Vu'H14not listenשְׁמֽוֹעַ׃she.Mo.a'H8085.

13So the wordדְּבַר־de.var-H1697of the Lordיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068to them will be, “Orderצַ֣וtzavH6673on orderלָצָ֞וla.TzavH6673,orderצַ֤וtzavH6673on orderלָצָו֙la.TzavH6673,Lineקַ֤וkavH6957on lineלָקָו֙la.KavH6957,lineקַ֣וkavH6957on lineלָקָ֔וla.KavH6957,A littleזְעֵ֥ירze.'EirH2191hereשָׁ֖םshamH8033,a littleזְעֵ֣ירze.'EirH2191thereשָׁ֑םShamH8033,”That they may goיֵלְכ֜וּye.le.KhuH1980andstumbleוְכָשְׁל֤וּve.kha.she.LuH3782backwardאָחוֹר֙'a.chOrH268,be brokenוְנִשְׁבָּ֔רוּve.nish.Ba.ruH7665,snaredוְנוֹקְשׁ֖וּve.nok.ShuH3369,and takenH3920captiveH3920.
