Genesis 3:1-13

1Now 1the serpentH5175 was moreH4480 craftyH6175 thanH4480 anyH3605 beastH2421 of the fieldH7704 whichH834 the LordH3068 GodH430 had madeH6213. And he saidH559 to the womanH802, “IndeedH637H3588, has GodH430 saidH559, ‘You shall not eatH398 from 2anyH3605 treeH6086 of the gardenH1588’?” 2The womanH802 saidH559 to the serpentH5175, “3From the fruitH6529 of the treesH6086 of the gardenH1588 we may eatH398; 3but from the fruitH6529 of the treeH6086 whichH834 is in the middleH8432 of the gardenH1588, GodH430 has saidH559, ‘You shall not eatH398 from it or touchH5060 it, or you will dieH4191.’” 44The serpentH5175 saidH559 to the womanH802, “You surelyH4191 will not dieH4191! 5For GodH430 knowsH3045 that in the dayH3117 you eatH398 from it your eyesH5869 will be openedH6491, and 5you will be like GodH430, knowingH3045 goodH2896 and evilH7451.” 66When the womanH802 sawH7200 that the treeH6086 was goodH2896 for foodH3978, and that it was a delightH8378 to the eyesH5869, and that the treeH6086 was desirableH2530 to make one wiseH7919, she tookH3947 from its fruitH6529 and ateH398; and she gaveH5414 alsoH1571 to her husbandH376 with her, and he ateH398. 7Then the eyesH5869 of bothH8147 of them were openedH6491, and they 7knewH3045 that they were nakedH5903; and they sewedH8609 figH8384 leavesH5929 togetherH8609 and madeH6213 themselvesH1992 8loinH2290 coveringsH2290.

8They heardH8085 the soundH6963 of 9the LordH3068 GodH430 walkingH1980 in the gardenH1588 in the 10coolH7307 of the dayH3117, 11and the manH120 and his wifeH802 hidH2244 themselves from the presenceH6440 of the LordH3068 GodH430 amongH8432 the treesH6086 of the gardenH1588. 9Then the LordH3068 GodH430 calledH7121 to the manH120, and saidH559 to him, “12WhereH335 are you?” 10He saidH559, “13I heardH8085 the soundH6963 of You in the gardenH1588, and I was afraidH3372 becauseH3588 I was nakedH5903; so I hidH2244 myself.” 11And He saidH559, “WhoH4310 toldH5046 you that you were nakedH5903? Have you eatenH398 from the treeH6086 of whichH834 I commandedH6680 you not to eatH398?” 1214The manH120 saidH559, “The womanH802 whomH834 You gaveH5414 to be with me, she gaveH5414 me from the treeH6086, and I ateH398.” 13Then the LordH3068 GodH430 saidH559 to the womanH802, “WhatH4100 is thisH2088 you have doneH6213?” And the womanH802 saidH559, “15The serpentH5175 deceivedH5378 me, and I ateH398.”
