Genesis 13:5-9
5Now 1LotH3876, who wentH1980 with AbramH87, alsoH1571 hadH1961 flocksH6629 and herdsH1241 and tentsH168. 6And 2the landH776 could not 3sustainH5375 them 4while dwellingH3427 togetherH3164, 5for their possessionsH7399 were so greatH7227 that they were not ableH3201 to remainH3427 togetherH3164. 76And there was strifeH7379 betweenH996 the herdsmenH7462 of Abram’sH87 livestockH4735 and the herdsmenH7462 of Lot’sH3876 livestockH4735. Now 7the CanaaniteH3669 and the PerizziteH6522 were dwellingH3427 thenH227 in the landH776.
88So AbramH87 saidH559 to LotH3876, “PleaseH4994 let there be noH408 strifeH4808 betweenH996 you and me, nor betweenH996 my herdsmenH7462 and your herdsmenH7462, for we are brothersH251. 9Is not the wholeH3605 landH776 beforeH6440 you? PleaseH4994 separateH6504 from me; ifH518 to the leftH8040, then I will goH3231 to the rightH3231; or ifH518 to the rightH3225, then I will goH8041 to the leftH8041.”
