5Now 1LotH3876, who wentH1980 with AbramH87, alsoH1571 hadH1961 flocksH6629, herdsH1241, and tentsH168. 6And 2the landH776 could not 3supportH5375 both of them 4while livingH3427 togetherH3164, 5for their possessionsH7399 were so greatH7227 that they wereH3201 not ableH3201 to remainH3427 togetherH3164. 76And there was strifeH7379 betweenH996 the herdsmenH7462 of Abram’sH87 livestockH4735 and the herdsmenH7462 of Lot’sH3876 livestockH4735. Now 7the CanaanitesH3669 and the PerizzitesH6522 were livingH3427 in the landH776 atH227 thatH227 timeH227.
88So AbramH87 saidH559 to LotH3876, “PleaseH4994 let there be noH408 strifeH4808 betweenH996 you and me, nor betweenH996 my herdsmenH7462 and your herdsmenH7462, for we are relativesH251! 9Is the entireH3605 landH776 not beforeH6440 you? PleaseH4994 separateH6504 from me; ifH518 you choose the leftH8040, then I will goH3231 to the rightH3231; or ifH518 you choose the rightH3225, then I will goH8041 to the leftH8041.”
