2Forthe lawνόμοςnomosG3551of the SpiritπνεύματοςpneumatosG4151of lifeζωῆςzōēsG2222inChristΧριστῷChristōG5547JesusἸησοῦIēsouG2424has setἠλευθέρωσένēleutherōsenG1659you freeG1659from the lawνόμουnomouG3551of sinἁμαρτίαςhamartiasG266and of deathθανάτου.thanatouG2288.

3ForwhatG102the Lawνόμου,nomouG3551couldG102not do,weakἠσθένειēstheneiG770as it was throughδιὰdiaG1223the fleshσαρκός,sarkosG4561,GodθεὸςtheosG2316did:sendingπέμψαςpempsasG3992His ownἑαυτοῦhe'autouG1438SonυἱὸνhuionG5207inthe likenessὁμοιώματιhomoiōmatiG3667ofsinfulἁμαρτίαςhamartiasG266fleshσαρκὸςsarkosG4561and as an offeringfor sinἁμαρτίαςhamartiasG266,He condemnedκατέκρινενkatekrinenG2632sinἁμαρτίανhamartianG266in the fleshσαρκί,sarkiG4561,

5For thoseG3588who are accordingκατὰkataG2596to the fleshσάρκαsarkaG4561setG5426their mindsφρονοῦσινphronousinG5426onthe things of the fleshσαρκὸςsarkosG4561,but thoseG3588who are accordingκατὰkataG2596to the SpiritπνεῦμαpneumaG4151,the things of the Spiritπνεύματος.pneumatosG4151.

6For the mindφρόνημαphronēmaG5427setG5427on the fleshσαρκὸςsarkosG4561isdeathθάνατος,thanatosG2288,but the mindφρόνημαphronēmaG5427setG5427on the SpiritπνεύματοςpneumatosG4151is lifeζωὴzōēG2222and peaceεἰρήνη.eirēnēG1515,

7becauseδιότιdiotiG1360the mindφρόνημαphronēmaG5427setG5427on the fleshσαρκὸςsarkosG4561ishostileἔχθραechthraG2189towardεἰςeisG1519Godθεόν·theonG2316;for it does not subjectὑποτάσσεται,hupotassetaiG5293itself to the lawνόμῳnomōG3551of GodθεοῦtheouG2316,for it is not evenοὐδὲoudeG3761ableδύναται·dunataiG1410to do so,

8and thoseοἱhoiG3588who arein the fleshσαρκὶsarkiG4561cannotοὐ δύνανται·ou dunantaiG1410 G3756pleaseἀρέσαιaresaiG700GodθεῷtheōG2316.

9HoweverG1161, you are notin the fleshσαρκὶsarkiG4561but in the Spiritπνεύματι,pneumatiG4151,ifG1512indeedG1512the SpiritπνεῦμαpneumaG4151of GodθεοῦtheouG2316dwellsοἰκεῖoikeiG3611in you. ButifG1487anyoneτιςtisG5100does not haveἔχει,echeiG2192the SpiritπνεῦμαpneumaG4151of ChristΧριστοῦChristouG5547,he does not belongG1510to Him.

10IfεἰeiG1487ChristΧριστὸςChristosG5547is in you, thoughμὲνmenG3303the bodyσῶμαsōmaG4983is deadνεκρὸνnekronG3498becauseδιὰdiaG1223of sinἁμαρτίανhamartianG266,yetG1161the spiritπνεῦμαpneumaG4151isaliveζωὴzōēG2222becauseδιὰdiaG1223of righteousnessδικαιοσύνην.dikaiosunēnG1343.

11But ifεἰeiG1487the SpiritπνεῦμαpneumaG4151of Him whoraisedἐγείραντοςegeirantosG1453JesusἸησοῦνIēsounG2424from the deadνεκρῶνnekrōnG3498dwellsοἰκεῖoikeiG3611in you,He who raisedἐγείραςegeirasG1453ChristΧριστὸνChristonG5547JesusG2424from the deadνεκρῶνnekrōnG3498will alsoκαὶkaiG2532giveG2227lifeζῳοποιήσειzōopoiēseiG2227to your mortalθνητὰthnētaG2349bodiesσώματαsōmataG4983throughδιὰdiaG1223His SpiritπνεύματοςpneumatosG4151who dwellsG3611in you.

15For youhave not receivedἐλάβετεelabeteG2983a spiritπνεῦμαpneumaG4151of slaveryδουλείαςdouleiasG1397leadingεἰςeisG1519to fearφόβον,phobonG5401againπάλινpalinG3825, but youhave receivedἐλάβετεelabeteG2983a spiritπνεῦμαpneumaG4151of adoptionυἱοθεσίαςhuiothesiasG5206as sonsG5206by whichᾧhōG3739we cryκράζομεν·krazomenG2896out, “AbbaαββαabbaG5!Fatherπατήρ.patērG3962!”

16The SpiritπνεῦμαpneumaG4151HimselfαὐτὸautoG846testifiesσυμμαρτυρεῖsummartureiG4828with our spiritπνεύματιpneumatiG4151that we arechildrenτέκναteknaG5043of Godθεοῦ.theouG2316,

20For the creationκτίσιςktisisG2937was subjectedὑπετάγη,hupetagēG5293tofutilityματαιότητιmataiotētiG3153,not willinglyἑκοῦσαhekousaG1635, butbecauseδιὰdiaG1223of Him who subjectedὑποτάξαντα,hupotaxantaG5293it,in hopeἑλπίδιhelpidiG1680

21thatthe creationκτίσιςktisisG2937itselfαὐτὴautēG846alsoκαὶkaiG2532will be setἐλευθερωθήσεταιeleutherōthēsetaiG1659freeG1659from its slaveryδουλείαςdouleiasG1397to corruptionφθορᾶςphthorasG5356into the freedomἐλευθερίανeleutherianG1657of the gloryδόξηςdoxēsG1391of the childrenτέκνωνteknōnG5043of Godθεοῦ.theouG2316.

24Forin hopeἐλπίδιelpidiG1680we have been savedἐσώθημεν·esōthēmenG4982, buthopeἐλπὶςelpisG1680that is seenβλεπομένηblepomenēG991is not hopeἐλπίς·elpisG1680;for whoG5100hopesG1680for whatὃhoG3739he alreadyseesβλέπειblepeiG991?
