23When He gotἐμβάντιembantiG1684into the boatπλοῖονploionG4143,His disciplesμαθηταὶmathētaiG3101followedἠκολούθησανēkolouthēsanG190Him.

24And beholdἰδοὺidouG2400,there aroseἐγένετοegenetoG1096a greatμέγαςmegasG3173stormσεισμὸςseismosG4578on the seaθαλάσσῃthalassēG2281,soὥστεhōsteG5620that the boatπλοῖονploionG4143was beingG2572coveredG2572with the wavesκυμάτων·kumatōnG2949;but Jesus HimselfαὐτὸςautosG846was asleepἐκάθευδεν.ekatheudenG2518.

25And they cameπροσελθόντεςproselthontesG4334to Himand wokeἤγειρανēgeiranG1453Him, sayingλέγοντες·legontesG3004, “SaveσῶσονsōsonG4982us,Lordκύριε,kurieG2962;we are perishingἀπολλύμεθα.apollumethaG622!”

26He saidλέγειlegeiG3004to them,“WhyτίtiG5101are youafraidδειλοίdeiloiG1169,you menG3640of littleὀλιγόπιστοι;oligopistoiG3640faithG3640?”ThenτότεtoteG5119He gotἐγερθεὶςegertheisG1453up and rebukedἐπετίμησενepetimēsenG2008the windsἀνέμοιςanemoisG417and the seaθαλάσσῃ,thalassēG2281, andit becameἐγένετοegenetoG1096perfectlyμεγάλη.¶megalēG3173calmγαλήνηgalēnēG1055.

27The menG444were amazedἐθαύμασανethaumasanG2296,and saidλέγοντες·legontesG3004, “WhatG4217kindποταπόςpotaposG4217of a manG444is thisοὗτοςhoutosG3778,that evenG2532the windsἄνεμοιanemoiG417and the seaθάλασσαthalassaG2281obeyὑπακούουσιν;¶hupakouousinG5219Him?”

28When He cameἐλθόντοςelthontosG2064to the otherπέρανperanG4008sideG4008into the countryχώρανchōranG5561of the GadarenesΓαδαρηνῶνGadarēnōnG1046,twoδύοduoG1417men who weredemon-possessedδαιμονιζόμενοιdaimonizomenoiG1139metὑπήντησανhupēntēsanG5221Him as they were comingἐξερχόμενοι,exerchomenoiG1831out of the tombsμνημείωνmnēmeiōnG3419. They wereso extremelyλίαν,lianG3029violentχαλεποὶchalepoiG5467that noμὴmēG3361oneτινὰtinaG5100couldἰσχύεινischueinG2480passπαρελθεῖνpareltheinG3928by that wayὁδοῦhodouG3598.

29And they criedἔκραξανekraxanG2896out, sayingλέγοντες·legontesG3004, “WhatτίtiG5101business do we have with each other, SonυἱὲhuieG5207of Godθεοῦ;theouG2316?Have You comeἦλθεςēlthesG2064hereὧδεhōdeG5602to tormentβασανίσαιbasanisaiG928us beforeπρὸproG4253the timeκαιροῦkairouG2540?”

30NowδὲdeG1161there was a herdἀγέληagelēG34of manyπολλῶνpollōnG4183swineχοίρωνchoirōnG5519feedingβοσκομένη.boskomenēG1006at a distanceμακρὰνmakranG3112from them.

31The demonsδαίμονεςdaimonesG1142beganto entreatπαρεκάλουνparekalounG3870Him, sayingλέγοντες·legontesG3004, “IfεἰeiG1487You are going tocastἐκβάλλειςekballeisG1544us out, sendἀπόστειλονaposteilonG649us into the herdἀγέληνagelēnG34of swineχοίρων.choirōnG5519.”

32And He saidG3004to them,“Goὑπάγετε.hupageteG5217!”And they cameἐξελθόντεςexelthontesG1831out and wentἀπῆλθονapēlthonG565into the swineχοίρους,choirousG5519,and the wholeπᾶσαpasaG3956herdἀγέληagelēG34rushedὥρμησενhōrmēsenG3729downκατὰkataG2596the steepκρημνοῦkrēmnouG2911bankG2911into the seaθάλασσαν,thalassanG2281and perishedἀπέθανονapethanonG599in the watersὕδασιν.hudasinG5204.

33The herdsmenβόσκοντεςboskontesG1006ranG5343awayG5343,and wentἀπελθόντεςapelthontesG565to the cityπόλινpolinG4172and reportedἀπήγγειλανapēngeilanG518everythingπάνταpantaG3956,includingG2532whatG3588hadG3588happenedG3588to thedemoniacsδαιμονιζομένων.daimonizomenōnG1139.

34And beholdἰδοὺidouG2400,the wholeπᾶσαpasaG3956cityπόλιςpolisG4172cameἐξῆλθενexēlthenG1831out to meetὑπάντησινhupantēsinG5222JesusἸησοῦ,IēsouG2424;and when they sawG3708Him,they imploredπαρεκάλεσανparekalesanG3870Him to leaveμεταβῇmetabēaG3327their regionὁρίωνhoriōnG3725.
