he lightedH5927 the lampsH5216 thereof soH3651 as to giveH6680 light in frontH6440 of the candlestick, as the LORDH3068 commandedH6680 MosesH4872. 4And this was the workH4639 of the candlestick, beaten workH4639 of goldH2091; unto the baseH3409 thereof, and unto the flowersH6525 thereof, it was beaten workH4639: according unto the patternH4758 whichH834 the LORDH3068 had shewed MosesH4872, soH3651 he madeH6213 the candlestick. 5And the LORDH3068 spake unto MosesH4872, sayingH559, 6TakeH3947 the LevitesH3881 from among the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478, and cleanseH2891 them. 7And thusH3541 shalt thou doH6213 unto them, to cleanseH2891 them: sprinkle the waterH4325 of expiation uponH5921 them, and let them cause a razorH8593 to passH5674 over allH3605 their fleshH1320, and let them washH3526 their clothesH899, and cleanseH2891 themselvesH2891. 8Then let them takeH3947 a youngH1121 bullock, and itsH3947 mealH4503 offering, fineH5560 flourH5560 mingled with oilH8081, and anotherH8145 youngH1121 bullock shalt thou takeH3947 for a sinH2403 offering. 9And thou shalt presentH7126 the LevitesH3881 beforeH6440 the tentH168 of meetingH4150: and thou shalt assembleH6950 the wholeH3605 congregationH5712 of the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478: 10and thou shalt presentH7126 the LevitesH3881 beforeH6440 the LORDH3068: and the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 shall layH5564 their handsH3027 uponH5921 the LevitesH3881: 11and AaronH175 shall offerH5130 the LevitesH3881 beforeH6440 the LORDH3068 for a waveH8573 offering, on the behalf of the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478, that they may be to doH5647 the serviceH5656 of the LORDH3068. 12And the LevitesH3881 shall layH5564 their handsH3027 uponH5921 the headsH7218 of the bullocks: and offerH6213 thou the one for a sinH2403 offering, and the otherH259 for a burntH5930 offering, unto the LORDH3068, to makeH6213 atonementH3722 for the LevitesH3881. 13And thou shalt setH5975 the LevitesH3881 beforeH6440 AaronH175, and beforeH6440 his sonsH1121, and offerH5130 them for a waveH8573 offering unto the LORDH3068. 14ThusH1961 shalt thou separateH914 the LevitesH3881 from among the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478: and the LevitesH3881 shall be mine. 15And afterH310 that shall the LevitesH3881 goH935 in to doH5647 the service of the tentH168 of meetingH4150: and thou shalt cleanseH2891 them, and offerH5130 them for a waveH8573 offering. 16For they are whollyH5414 givenH5414 unto meH5414 from among the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478; insteadH8478 of allH3605 that openeth the wombH7358, evenH3588 the firstbornH1060 of allH3605 the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478, have I takenH3947 them unto meH5414. 17For allH3605 the firstbornH1060 among the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 are mine, bothH3605 manH120 and beastH929: on the dayH3117 that I smoteH5221 allH3605 the firstbornH1060 in the landH776 of EgyptH4714 I sanctifiedH6942 them for myselfH6942. 18And I have takenH3947 the LevitesH3881 insteadH8478 of allH3605 the firstbornH1060 among the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478. 19And I have givenH5414 the LevitesH3881 as a giftH5414 to AaronH175 and to his sonsH1121 from among the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478, to doH5647 the serviceH5656 of the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 in the tentH168 of meetingH4150, and to makeH5414 atonementH3722 for the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478: that there be noH3808 plagueH5063 among the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478, when the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 comeH1961 nigh unto the sanctuaryH6944. 20ThusH3651 didH6213 MosesH4872, and AaronH175, and allH3605 the congregationH5712 of the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478, unto the LevitesH3881: according unto allH3605 that the LORDH3068 commandedH6680 MosesH4872 touching the LevitesH3881, soH3651 didH6213 the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 unto them. 21And the LevitesH3881 purifiedH2891 themselvesH2891 from sinH2398, and they washedH3526 their clothesH899; and AaronH175 offeredH8573 them for a waveH8573 offering beforeH6440 the LORDH3068; and AaronH175 made atonementH3722 for them to cleanseH2891 them. 22And afterH310 that wentH935 the LevitesH3881 in to doH6213 their serviceH5656 in the tentH168 of meetingH4150 beforeH6440 AaronH175, and beforeH6440 his sonsH1121: as the LORDH3068 had commandedH6680 MosesH4872 concerning the LevitesH3881, soH3651 didH6213 they unto them. 23And the LORDH3068 spake unto MosesH4872, sayingH559, 24This is that whichH834 belongeth unto the LevitesH3881: from twentyH6242 and fiveH2568 yearsH8141 oldH1121 and upwardH4605 they shall goH935 in to wait uponH935 the serviceH5656 in the workH5656 of the tentH168 of meetingH4150: 25and from the ageH1121 of fiftyH2572 yearsH8141 they shall cease waiting upon the workH5656, and shall serveH5647 noH3808 moreH5750; 26but shall ministerH8334 with their brethrenH251 in the tentH168 of meetingH4150, to keepH8104 the chargeH4931, and shall doH6213 noH3808 serviceH5656. ThusH3602 shalt thou doH6213 unto the LevitesH3881 touching their charges.
