1And the headsH7218 of the fathers’H1housesof the familyH4940 of the children of GileadH1568, the sonH1121 of Machir, the sonH1121 of ManassehH4519, of the familiesH4940 of the sonsH1121 of JosephH3130, came near, and spake before MosesH4872, and before the princesH5387, the headsH7218 of the fathers’H1 houses of the children of IsraelH3478: 2and they saidH559, Jehovah commandedH6680 my lord to giveH5414 the landH776 for inheritanceH5159 by lotH1486 to the children of IsraelH3478: and my lord was commandedH6680 by Jehovah to giveH5414 the inheritanceH5159 of ZelophehadH6765 our brotherH251 unto his daughtersH1323. 3And if they beH1961 married to any of the sonsH1121 of the other tribesH7626 of the children of IsraelH3478, then will their inheritanceH5159 beH1961 taken away from the inheritanceH5159 of our fathersH1, and will beH1961 addedH3254 to the inheritanceH5159 of the tribeH4294 whereunto they shall belongH1961: so will it beH1961 taken away from the lotH1486 of our inheritanceH5159. 4And when the jubileeH3104 of the children of IsraelH3478 shall beH1961, then will their inheritanceH5159 beH1961 addedH3254 unto the inheritanceH5159 of the tribeH4294 whereunto they shall belongH1961: so will their inheritanceH5159 beH1961 taken away from the inheritanceH5159 of the tribeH4294 of our fathersH1.

5And MosesH4872 commandedH6680 the children of IsraelH3478 according to the word of Jehovah, sayingH559, The tribeH4294 of the sonsH1121 of JosephH3130 speaketh rightH3651. 6This is the thingH1697 which Jehovah doth commandH6680 concerning the daughtersH1323 of ZelophehadH6765, sayingH559, Let them beH1961 married to whom they think bestH2896; onlyH389 into the familyH4940 of the tribeH4294 of their fatherH1 shall they beH1961 married. 7So shall no inheritanceH5159 of the children of IsraelH3478 remove from tribeH4294 to tribeH4294; for the children of IsraelH3478 shall cleave every oneH376 to the inheritanceH5159 of the tribeH4294 of his fathersH1. 8And every daughterH1323, that possesseth an inheritanceH5159 in any tribeH4294 of the children of IsraelH3478, shall beH1961 wifeH802 unto oneH259 of the familyH4940 of the tribeH4294 of her fatherH1, that the children of IsraelH3478 may possessH3423 every manH376 the inheritanceH5159 of his fathersH1. 9So shall no inheritanceH5159 remove from oneH376 tribeH4294 to another tribeH4294; for the tribesH4294 of the children of IsraelH3478 shall cleave every oneH376 to his own inheritanceH5159.

10Even as Jehovah commandedH6680 MosesH4872, soH3651 did the daughtersH1323 of ZelophehadH6765: 11for MahlahH4244, TirzahH8656, and HoglahH2295, and MilcahH4435, and NoahH5270, the daughtersH1323 of ZelophehadH6765, wereH1961 married unto their father’s brothers’ sonsH1121. 12They wereH1961 married into the familiesH4940 of the sonsH1121 of ManassehH4519 the sonH1121 of JosephH3130; and their inheritanceH5159 remained in the tribeH4294 of the familyH4940 of their fatherH1.

13These are the commandmentsH4687 and the ordinancesH4941 which Jehovah commandedH6680 by MosesH4872 unto the children of IsraelH3478 in the plainsH6160 of MoabH4124 by the JordanH3383 at JerichoH3405.
