Numbers 25:7-13

And PhinehasH6372, the sonH1121 of EleazarH499, the sonH1121 of AaronH175 the priestH3548, sawH7200 it, and roseH6965 up from among the assemblyH5712, and tookH3947 a javelin in his handH3027,

and he wentH935 after the manH376 of IsraelH3478 into the tent-chamber, and thrust both of them through, the manH376 of IsraelH3478 and the womanH802 through her belly. And the plagueH4046 was stayed from the children of IsraelH3478.

And those that diedH4191 in the plagueH4046 wereH1961 twenty-four thousandH505.

And Jehovah spokeH1696 to MosesH4872, sayingH559,

PhinehasH6372, the sonH1121 of EleazarH499, the sonH1121 of AaronH175 the priestH3548, hath turnedH7725 my wrathH2534 awayH7725 from the children of IsraelH3478, in that he was jealousH7065 with my jealousyH7068 among them, so that I consumed not the children of IsraelH3478 in my jealousyH7068.

ThereforeH3651 sayH559, Behold, I giveH5414 unto him my covenantH1285 of peaceH7965!

And he shall have it, and his seedH2233 after him, the covenantH1285 of an everlasting priesthoodH3550; because he wasH1961 jealousH7065 for his 1GodH430, and made atonementH3722 for the children of IsraelH3478.
