Mark 10:32-45

32And they wereG1510 in the wayG3598 going up to JerusalemG2414, and JesusG2424 wasG1510 going on before them; and they wereG1510 amazed, and wereG1510 afraidG5399 as they followedG190. And takingG3880 the twelveG1427 againG3825 to [him], he beganG757 to tellG3004 them what wasG1510 going to happen to him:

33BeholdG2400, we goG305 up to JerusalemG2414, and the SonG5207 of manG444 shall be deliveredG3860 up to the chiefG749 priestsG749 and to the scribesG1122, and they shall condemnG2632 him to deathG2288, and shall deliverG3860 him up to the nationsG1484:

34and they shall mockG1702 him, and shall scourge him, and shall spitG1716 upon him, and shall killG615 him; and after threeG5140 daysG2250 he shall riseG450 againG450.

35And there come to him JamesG2385 and JohnG2491, the sonsG5207 of ZebedeeG2199, sayingG3004 [to him], TeacherG1320, we would that whatsoever we may askG154 thee, thou wouldst do it for us.

36And he saidG3004 to them, What would ye that I should do for you?

37And they saidG3004 to him, GiveG1325 to us that we may sitG2523, oneG1520 on thy rightG1188 handG1188, and oneG1520 on thy left handG1188, in thy gloryG1391.

38And JesusG2424 saidG3004 to them, Ye do not know what ye askG154. Are ye ableG1410 to drinkG4095 the cupG4221 which I drinkG4095, or be baptised with the baptismG908 that I am baptised with?

39And they saidG3004 to him, We are ableG1410. And JesusG2424 saidG3004 to them, The cupG4221 that I drinkG4095 ye will drinkG4095 and with the baptismG908 that I am baptised with ye will be baptised,

40but to sitG2523 on my rightG1188 handG1188 or on my left isG1510 not mine to giveG1325, but for those for whom it isG1510 preparedG2090.

41And the tenG1176 having heardG191 [of it], beganG757 to be indignantG23 about JamesG2385 and JohnG2491.

42But JesusG2424 having called them to [him], saysG3004 to them, Ye know that those who are esteemed to ruleG757 over the nationsG1484 exerciseG2715 lordship over them; and their greatG3173 men exerciseG2715 authorityG2715 over them;

43but it isG1510 not thusG3779 among you; but whosoever would beG1510 greatG3173 among you, shall beG1510 your ministerG1249;

44and whosoever would beG1510 firstG4413 of you shall beG1510 bondman of all.

45For alsoG2532 the SonG5207 of manG444 did not comeG2064 to be ministeredG1247 to, but to ministerG1247, and giveG1325 his lifeG5590 a ransomG3083 for manyG4183.
