Leviticus 17:10-13
And every oneH376 of the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478, or of the strangers who sojourn among them, that eateth any manner of bloodH1818, — I will setH5414 my faceH6440 against the soulH5315 that hath eatenH398 bloodH1818, and will cutH3772 him off from among his peopleH5971;
for the soulH5315 of the fleshH1320 is in the bloodH1818; and I have givenH5414 it to you upon the altarH4196 to makeH5414 atonementH3722 for your soulsH5315, for it is the bloodH1818 that maketh atonementH3722 for the soulH5315.
ThereforeH3651 have I saidH559 unto the children of IsraelH3478, No soulH5315 of you shall eatH398 bloodH1818, neither shall the stranger who sojourneth among you eatH398 bloodH1818.
And every oneH376 of the children of IsraelH3478, and of the strangers who sojourn among them, that catcheth in the huntH6679 a beast or fowl that may be eatenH398, he shall pourH8210 out the bloodH1818 thereof, and coverH3680 it with earthH6083;
