Leviticus 10
1And NadabH5070 and AbihuH30, the sonsH1121 of AaronH175, tookH3947 each of them his censerH4289, and putH5414 fireH784 therein, and laid incenseH7004 thereon, and offered strangeH2114 fireH784 before Jehovah, which he had not commandedH6680 them. 2And there cameH3318 forthH3318 fireH784 from before Jehovah, and devouredH398 them, and they diedH4191 before Jehovah. 3Then MosesH4872 saidH559 unto AaronH175, This is it that Jehovah spake, sayingH559, I will be sanctifiedH6942 in them that come nigh me, and before all the peopleH5971 I will be glorifiedH3513. And AaronH175 held his peace. 4And MosesH4872 calledH7121 MishaelH4332 and ElzaphanH469, the sonsH1121 of UzzielH5816 the uncleH1730 of AaronH175, and saidH559 unto them, DrawH7126 near, carryH5375 your brethren from before the sanctuaryH6944 out of the campH4264. 5So they drewH7126 near, and carriedH5375 them in their coats out of the campH4264, as MosesH4872 had saidH1696. 6And MosesH4872 saidH559 unto AaronH175, and unto EleazarH499 and unto IthamarH385, his sonsH1121, Let not the hair of your headsH7218 go loose, neither rend your clothesH899; that ye dieH4191 not, and that he be not wroth with all the congregationH5712: but let your brethren, the whole houseH1004 of IsraelH3478, bewail the burningH8316 which Jehovah hath kindled. 7And ye shall not goH3318 out from the doorH6607 of the tentH168 of meetingH4150, lestH6435 ye dieH4191; for the anointingH4888 oilH8081 of Jehovah is upon you. And they did according to the wordH1697 of MosesH4872.
8And Jehovah spake unto AaronH175, sayingH559, 9DrinkH8354 no wineH3196 nor strongH7941 drinkH8354, thou, nor thy sonsH1121 with thee, when ye goH935 into the tentH168 of meetingH4150, that ye dieH4191 not: it shall be a statuteH2708 for everH5769 throughout your generationsH1755: 10and that ye may make a distinctionH914 between the holyH6944 and the common, and between the uncleanH2931 and the cleanH2889; 11and that ye may teachH3384 the children of IsraelH3478 all the statutesH2706 which Jehovah hath spokenH1696 unto them by MosesH4872.
12And MosesH4872 spake unto AaronH175, and unto EleazarH499 and unto IthamarH385, his sonsH1121 that were leftH3498, TakeH3947 the meal-offering that remaineth of the offeringsH801 of Jehovah made by fireH801, and eatH398 it without leaven beside the altarH4196; for it is most holyH6944; 13and ye shall eatH398 it in a holyH6918 placeH4725, because it is thy portionH2706, and thy sons’H1121 portionH2706, of the offeringsH801 of Jehovah made by fireH801: for so I am commandedH6680. 14And the wave-breast and the heave-thigh shall ye eatH398 in a cleanH2889 placeH4725, thou, and thy sonsH1121, and thy daughtersH1323 with thee: for they are givenH5414 as thy portionH2706, and thy sons’H1121 portionH2706, out of the sacrificesH2077 of the peace-offerings of the children of IsraelH3478. 15The heave-thigh and the wave-breast shall they bringH935 with the offeringsH801 made by fireH801 of the fatH2459, to wave it for a wave-offering before Jehovah: and it shall beH1961 thine, and thy sons’H1121 with thee, as a portionH2706 for everH5769; as Jehovah hath commandedH6680.
16And MosesH4872 diligently soughtH1875 the goatH8163 of the sin-offering, and, behold, it was burnt: and he was angryH7107 with EleazarH499 and with IthamarH385, the sonsH1121 of AaronH175 that were leftH3498, sayingH559, 17Wherefore have ye not eatenH398 the sin-offering in the placeH4725 of the sanctuaryH6944, seeing it is most holyH6944, and he hath givenH5414 it you to bearH5375 the iniquityH5771 of the congregationH5712, to makeH5414 atonementH3722 for them before Jehovah? 18Behold, the bloodH1818 of it was not broughtH935 into the sanctuaryH6944 within: ye should certainly have eatenH398 it in the sanctuaryH6944, as I commandedH6680. 19And AaronH175 spake unto MosesH4872, Behold, this dayH3117 have they offered their sin-offering and their burnt-offering before Jehovah; and there have befallen me such thingsH428 as these: and if I had eatenH398 the sin-offering to-day, would it have been well-pleasing in the sight of Jehovah? 20And when MosesH4872 heardH8085 that, it was well-pleasing in his sight.
