2 Kings 5:1-14
1And NaamanH5283, captain of the hostH6635 of the kingH4428 of Syria, wasH1961 a greatH1419 manH376 before his masterH113, and honourable, for by him Jehovah had givenH5414 deliveranceH8668 to Syria; and he wasH1961 a mightyH1368 manH376 of valour, [but] a leper.
2And the Syrians had goneH3318 out in bandsH1416, and had broughtH3318 away captiveH7617 out of the landH776 of IsraelH3478 a littleH6996 maid; and she waited on Naaman's wifeH802.
3And she saidH559 to her mistressH1404, Oh, would that my lordH113 were before the prophetH5030 that is in SamariaH8111! thenH227 he would cure him of his leprosy.
4And he wentH935 and toldH5046 his lordH113 sayingH559, Thus and thus saidH559 the maid that is of the landH776 of IsraelH3478.
5And the kingH4428 of Syria saidH559, Well! goH935, and I will sendH7971 a letterH5612 to the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478. And he departed, and tookH3947 with him tenH6235 talentsH3603 of silverH3701, and sixH8337 thousandH505 [shekels] of goldH2091, and tenH6235 changes of raiment.
6And he broughtH935 the letterH5612 to the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478, sayingH559, And nowH6258, when this letterH5612 comesH935 to thee, behold, I have sentH7971 NaamanH5283 my servantH5650 to thee, that thou mayest cure him of his leprosy.
7And it came to pass when the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 had readH7121 the letterH5612, that he rent his garmentsH899, and saidH559, Am I 1GodH430, to killH4191 and to makeH3045 aliveH2421, that this manH376 sendsH7971 to me to cure a manH376 of his leprosy? Wherefore considerH7200, I pray you, and seeH7200 how he seeks an occasion against me.
8And it wasH1961 so, when ElishaH477 the manH376 of 2GodH430 had heardH8085 that the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 had rent his garmentsH899, that he sentH7971 to the kingH4428, sayingH559, WhyH4100 hast thou rent thy garmentsH899? let him comeH935 now to me, and he shall knowH3045 that there is a prophetH5030 in IsraelH3478.
9And NaamanH5283 cameH935 with his horsesH5483 and with his chariotH7393, and stoodH5975 at the doorwayH6607 of the houseH1004 of ElishaH477.
10And ElishaH477 sentH7971 a messengerH4397 to him, sayingH559, GoH1980 and washH7364 in the JordanH3383 sevenH7651 timesH6471, and thy fleshH1320 shall comeH1980 again to thee, and thou shalt be cleanH2891.
11And NaamanH5283 was wroth, and wentH3318 away and saidH559, Behold, I thought, He will certainly comeH3318 out to me, and standH5975, and callH7121 on the nameH8034 of Jehovah his 3GodH430, and waveH5130 his handH3027 over the placeH4725, and cure the leper.
12Are not the Abanah and the Pharpar, riversH5104 of DamascusH1834, betterH2896 than all the watersH4325 of IsraelH3478? may I not washH7364 in them and be cleanH2891? And he turnedH6437 and went awayH6437 in a rageH2534.
13And his servantsH5650 drewH5066 near, and spokeH1696 to him and saidH559, My fatherH1, [if] the prophetH5030 had bidden thee [do some] greatH1419 thingH1697, wouldest thou not have done it? how much rather then, when he saysH559 to thee, WashH7364 and be cleanH2891?
14Then he wentH3381 downH3381, and plunged himself sevenH7651 timesH6471 in the JordanH3383, according to the saying of the manH376 of 4GodH430. And his fleshH1320 became again like the fleshH1320 of a littleH6996 child, and he was cleanH2891.
