2 Kings 5:1-14
1NowH1961 NaamanH5283, captainH8269 of the hostH6635 of the kingH4428 of SyriaH758, was a greatH1419 manH376 with his masterH113, and honourable, becauseH3588 by him the LORDH3068 had givenH5414 victoryH8668 unto SyriaH758: he was also a mightyH1368 manH376 of valour, but he was a leperH6879.
2And the Syrians had goneH3318 outH3318 in bandsH1416, and had broughtH3318 awayH7617 captiveH7617 outH3318 of the landH776 of IsraelH3478 a littleH6996 maid; and sheH6440 waitedH1961 on Naaman’sH5283 wifeH802.
3And sheH834 saidH559 unto herH413 mistressH1404, Would GodH559 my lordH113 were with the prophetH5030 that is in SamariaH8111! then would he recover him of his leprosyH6883.
4And one wentH935 in, and toldH5046 his lordH113, sayingH559, Thus and thus saidH559 the maid that is of the landH776 of IsraelH3478.
5And the kingH4428 of SyriaH758 saidH559, GoH935 to, goH935, and I will sendH7971 a letterH5612 unto the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478. And he departedH935, and tookH3947 with him tenH6235 talentsH3603 of silverH3701, and sixH8337 thousandH505 pieces of goldH2091, and tenH6235 changesH2487 of raiment.
6And he broughtH935 the letterH5612 to the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478, sayingH559, And nowH6258 when this letterH5612 is comeH935 unto thee, beholdH2009, I have sentH7971 NaamanH5283 my servantH5650 to thee, that thou mayest recover him of his leprosyH6883.
7And it cameH1961 to passH1961, when the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 had readH7121 the letterH5612, that he rent his clothesH899, and saidH559, Am I GodH430, to killH4191 and to makeH3045 aliveH2421, that this manH376 doth sendH7971 unto meH413 to recoverH2421 a manH376 of his leprosyH6883? but considerH7200, I prayH4994 youH3588, and seeH7200 howH3588 he seeketh a quarrelH579 againstH413 meH413.
8And it was soH7971, when ElishaH477 the manH376 of GodH430 heardH8085 that the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 had rent his clothesH899, that he sentH7971 to the kingH4428, sayingH559, Wherefore hast thou rent thy clothesH899? letH7971 him comeH935 nowH4994 to meH413, and he shall knowH3045 that there is a prophetH5030 in IsraelH3478.
9SoH935 NaamanH5283 cameH935 with his horsesH5483 and with his chariotsH7393, and stoodH5975 at the doorH6607 of the houseH1004 of ElishaH477.
10And ElishaH477 sentH7971 a messengerH4397 unto him sayingH559, GoH1980 and washH7364 in JordanH3383 sevenH7651 timesH6471, and thy fleshH1320 shall comeH1980 againH7725 to thee, and thou shalt be cleanH2891.
11But NaamanH5283 was wroth, and wentH3318 awayH622, and saidH559, BeholdH2009, I thoughtH559, He will surelyH3318 comeH3318 outH3318 to meH413, and standH5975, and callH7121 on the nameH8034 of the LORDH3068 his GodH430, and waveH5130 his handH3027 over the placeH4725, and recover the leperH6879.
12Are notH3808 AbanahH71 and PharparH6554, the riversH5104 of DamascusH1834, betterH2896 thanH3808 allH3605 the watersH4325 of IsraelH3478? may I notH3808 washH7364 in them, and be cleanH2891? SoH3808 he turnedH6437 and went awayH6437 in a rageH2534.
13And his servantsH5650 cameH5066 nearH5066, and spake unto him, and saidH559, My fatherH1, ifH3588 the prophetH5030 had bid thee doH6213 someH1697 greatH1419 thingH1697, wouldest thou notH3808 have doneH6213 it? howH637 muchH637 ratherH3588 then, when he saith to thee, WashH7364, and be cleanH2891?
14Then wentH3381 he downH3381, and dippedH2881 himselfH376 sevenH7651 timesH6471 in JordanH3383, accordingH376 to the sayingH1697 of the manH376 of GodH430: and his fleshH1320 cameH3381 againH7725 like unto the fleshH1320 of a littleH6996 childH5288, and he was cleanH2891.
