2 Kings 24:1-9

1In his daysH3117 NebuchadnezzarH5019 kingH4428 of BabylonH894 came up, and JehoiakimH3079 wasH1961 his servantH5650 threeH7969 yearsH8141; then he turnedH7725 and rebelledH4775 against him.

2And Jehovah sentH7971 against him the bandsH1416 of the ChaldeansH3778, and the bandsH1416 of the Syrians, and the bandsH1416 of the Moabites, and the bandsH1416 of the children of AmmonH5983, and sentH7971 them against JudahH3063 to destroyH6 it, according to the wordH1697 of Jehovah, which he spokeH1696 through his servantsH5650 the prophetsH5030.

3Verily, at the commandment of Jehovah it came to pass against JudahH3063, that they should beH1961 removedH5493 out of his sight, for the sinsH2403 of ManassehH4519, according to all that he had done;

4and alsoH1571 [because of] the innocentH5355 bloodH1818 that he had shedH8210; for he had filledH4390 JerusalemH3389 with innocentH5355 bloodH1818, and Jehovah wouldH14 not pardon.

5And the restH3499 of the acts of JehoiakimH3079, and all that he did, are they not writtenH3789 in the bookH5612 of the chronicles of the kingsH4428 of JudahH3063?

6And JehoiakimH3079 slept with his fathersH1, and JehoiachinH3078 his sonH1121 reignedH4427 in his stead.

7And the kingH4428 of EgyptH4714 came not againH5750 any more out of his landH776, for the kingH4428 of BabylonH894 had takenH3947 all that belongedH1961 to the kingH4428 of EgyptH4714, from the torrent of EgyptH4714 to the riverH5104 EuphratesH6578.

8JehoiachinH3078 was eighteen yearsH8141 old when he began to reignH4427; and he reignedH4427 threeH7969 monthsH2320 in JerusalemH3389; and his mother's nameH8034 was Nehushta, daughterH1323 of ElnathanH494 of JerusalemH3389.

9And he did evilH7451 in the sight of Jehovah, according to all that his fatherH1 had done.
