2 Kings 24:1-9
1In his daysH3117 NebuchadnezzarH5019 kingH4428 of BabylonH894 came up, and JehoiakimH3079 becameH1961 his servantH5650 threeH7969 yearsH8141: then he turnedH7725 and rebelledH4775 against him. 2And Jehovah sentH7971 against him bandsH1416 of the ChaldeansH3778, and bandsH1416 of the Syrians, and bandsH1416 of the Moabites, and bandsH1416 of the children of AmmonH5983, and sentH7971 them against JudahH3063 to destroyH6 it, according to the wordH1697 of Jehovah, which he spake by his servantsH5650 the prophetsH5030. 3SurelyH389 at the commandment of Jehovah came this upon JudahH3063, to removeH5493 them out of his sight, for the sinsH2403 of ManassehH4519, according to all that he did, 4and alsoH1571 for the innocentH5355 bloodH1818 that he shedH8210; for he filledH4390 JerusalemH3389 with innocentH5355 bloodH1818: and Jehovah wouldH14 not pardon. 5Now the restH3499 of the acts of JehoiakimH3079, and all that he did, are they not writtenH3789 in the bookH5612 of the chronicles of the kingsH4428 of JudahH3063? 6So JehoiakimH3079 slept with his fathersH1; and JehoiachinH3078 his sonH1121 reignedH4427 in his stead. 7And the kingH4428 of EgyptH4714 came not againH5750 any more out of his landH776; for the kingH4428 of BabylonH894 had takenH3947, from the brook of EgyptH4714 unto the riverH5104 EuphratesH6578, all that pertained to the kingH4428 of EgyptH4714.
8JehoiachinH3078 was eighteen yearsH8141 old when he began to reignH4427; and he reignedH4427 in JerusalemH3389 threeH7969 monthsH2320: and his mother’sH517 nameH8034 was Nehushta the daughterH1323 of ElnathanH494 of JerusalemH3389. 9And he did that which was evilH7451 in the sight of Jehovah, according to all that his fatherH1 had done.
