Samuel 4:12-18
And there ranH7323 a manH376 of BenjaminH1144 out of the battleH4634, and cameH935 to ShilohH7887 the same dayH3117, with his clothes rent and with earthH127 upon his headH7218.
And when he cameH935, behold, EliH5941 wasH1961 sittingH3427 upon the seatH3678 by the way-side watchingH6822; for his heartH3820 trembled for the arkH727 of 1GodH430. And the manH376 cameH935 to tellH5046 it in the cityH5892, and all the cityH5892 criedH2199 out.
And EliH5941 heardH8085 the noise of the crying, and saidH559, What is the noise of this tumultH1995? And the manH376 cameH935 hastily, and toldH5046 EliH5941.
Now EliH5941 was ninety-eight yearsH8141 old; and his eyesH5869 were setH6965, that he could not seeH7200.
And the manH376 saidH559 to EliH5941, I am he that cameH935 out of the battleH4634, and I have fledH5127 to-day out of the battleH4634. And he saidH559, What has taken place, my sonH1121?
And the messenger answered and saidH559, IsraelH3478 has fledH5127 before the PhilistinesH6430, and there has beenH1961 alsoH1571 a greatH1419 slaughterH4046 among the peopleH5971, and thy twoH8147 sonsH1121 alsoH1571, HophniH2652 and PhinehasH6372, are deadH4191, and the arkH727 of 2GodH430 is takenH3947.
And it came to pass, when he mentioned the arkH727 of 3GodH430, that he fellH5307 from off the seatH3678 backwardH322 by the side of the gateH8179, and his neck brokeH7665, and he diedH4191; for the manH376 wasH1961 oldH2204, and heavyH3515. And he had judgedH8199 IsraelH3478 fortyH705 yearsH8141.
